    It's great to see someone make a video about this place. Don't see many people talk or vlog about it. It's a great place that more people should visit. A lot of work has been put into this park.

    Jonty and Millie, I can't tell you how much I LOVE your videos! You provide new tidbits about Singapore everytime... Singapore Tourism could recruit you!! And it's unbelievable that no one else is there. It's such a beautiful park. It must be a hidden gem because I watch a lot of Singapore videos and I haven't seen it highlighted anywhere else so far. You mentioned your backpacks on your Instagram and I'd love a closer look at the different compartments in one of your future videos (especially since it's travel season). They look pretty cool and versatile 👍🏾. I hope you get to 10K before the end of the summer. Keep up the great work!! ❤

    This video brought back a few memories when I visited this park during my one day off I had from work. I was so surprised to come across the allotments but found them interesting to compare. Would be lovely to grow some of that fruit and veg here in the UK

      @WONDERLUSTworld  Рік тому

      That’s so nice!! I wonder whether the fruit and veg would be able to survive in the UK?

    Hort Park is one of my favourite haunts in SG❤
    If you follow the link bridge, you can hike to Mount Faber all the way to Harbourfront / Vivocity.
    Hort Park organizes a monthly gardening market called Gardeners Day Out (GDO). You can buy plants from different sellers and attend gardening talks. The next one is on Sat 15 July from 9 am to 3 pm.
    For food options, you can head down the road to ARC mall next to Labrador Park MRT.
    Have fun guys!

      @WONDERLUSTworld  Рік тому +1

      Oh nice!! That’s some great information - thank you! We’d love to check out GDO for sure!

    Visit Block 151 Serangoon North Ave 2 for uncles sitting around and listening to their pet birds.

    Next time you may want to conside further your adventure trail from hort park to Canterbury Park or to Kent Ridge Park. You may want to check on Reflections at Bukit Chandu, a WWII heritage museum. Inside, the air-conditioned museum contains plenty of interactive multimedia exhibits, along with a ton of war memorabilia. Entry is free for all Singaporeans and PRs, and $5 for foreigners, so you’ll need to bring along your IC.

      Yes, from the end of Hort Park, you can go further and climb up to Kent Ridge Park past Bukit Chandu. But there is no transport at Kent Ridge Park down.

    The gunk - looks like a spider egg sac to me
    Spider fighting was quite the activity amongst the boys during the kampong days.

    Not sure if you have been to the Botanic Garden, they have an Orchid Garden in there with lots species of orchids but you need to buy a ticket to go into Orchid Garden.

      Yes it is lovely there, during covid it was free to enter for a while. This Friday's vlog is actually at the new Far East Flora Garden Centre and they have the most amazing orchids for sale. Worth a walk around if you like plants.

    Hello ! Always, always enjoy your videos and yes Hot Park is a total gem (which I need to revisit soon HAH!). This is such a great channel for all the less touristy local spaces and the videos truly show that Singapore is a vibrant place to live and explore, with a richness that often gets overlooked.
    Millie : I'm sorry the person who's been here a whole year hasn't found a community to connect with, it must be hard feeling that way. And your kids, they are so much fun, no shortage of people offering to mind them 😆
    Happy adventures !! Aida.
