Wild Wednesday in New Jersey

- Last month, Monstrous Monday set the bar so historically high for winter swells in New Jersey, the next day’s perfect, overhead leftovers barely registered among these depleted chargers shaking off their adrenaline hangovers. That’s how high the bar got raised. And every session thereafter would have a hard time even doing a chin-up.
Wild Wednesday did its best, but failed. In the best way possible.
“Broken boards and gashes,” Surfline informant John Bellingeri texted us at 8:48am from a popular Northern Jersey beachbreak, along with a clip of Stevie Pittman throwing shakas while bleeding from multiple face wounds. Stevie’s part of that I-95 squad, including Massachusetts’ Robbie Goodwin and North Carolina’s Owen Moss, who rose to the challenge of Monstrous Monday and have been rightfully adopted by the Garden State’s inner circle of tube lords. Knowing that, Pittman cleaned his face, grabbed another mini-gun, and headed back out there. “Yeah, I’m all good,” Stevie smirked between sessions. “No stitches, not yet [laughs]. It’s tough today. We got a couple, though.”
That may be the understatement of the whole El Niño season. His Tarheel compadre Owen Moss - arguably the top performer on Monstrous Monday - was a little more forthright: “When we saw it at first light it was solid. I was so psyched to ride my 6’10” out there again. Some of the best waves I’ve ever seen on the East Coast.”

I was on the shoulder for the Mark Gilmartin's barrel starting at 1:47, I have been surfing NJ for 31 years and that was the most deftly surfed barrel of that caliber I have personally seen in NJ.

I know right to New Jersey has the most disgusting ocean water I’ve ever seen in my life and I live here
Who are you guys? Let's meet em. Hey what brand suits you using there. Looks almost like slush. You guys are core.
So dark. So foreboding.
Dude Jersey has been on fire at least 2x a week it’s crazy here on li we just don’t get the winds it’s so FRUSTRATING and when we do the south east currents just try to drag you down to Jersey 🫣
The currents are trying to bring us together, because down here they drag you North.
Pinching curls love it!
Waves of the year
Jersey for the WIN!
Tosh with the lip detonating right behind him
Curious what the water temp is...
mid 40's..the Ocean temp hits the lowest temps in the 3rd week of Feb before it slowly starts going up again.
Blowing spit like Pipe in NJ! Unbelievable. Sic barrels.

That water is disgusting looking
Multiple stand up barrels in just a few weeks time at the Jersey Shore.. Cray cray. Nothing to see here, move along.
soooo many kooks
I don't know any kook that can pull into heaving cold barrels in a 5 mil. I'm sure you would have shredded it though. If that was in fact sarcasm then I withdraw my statement.
Were all kooks...It's OK. @@bradrielly7031
