Thank you for the video. If I were in Sheila's place, I would be torn between gratitude over the increadible help and guilt over the sheer amount of work that was needed and probably still is needed... It helps a little to feel less embarrassed that people consider this satisfying. It's probably still an increadible amount of work. When me or my brother had asked my mom for help as a kid, she usually went with "sort out your problems yourself" and saying that she is doing this to rise us to be independent... When my cousin had her birthday after not seeing her for the covid-years, I realised that she was independent. She had become an adult while we didn't see each other. And I noticed that she had actually been taught how to deal with problems and how to get help. My uncle invested a lot more energy into rising her than mom did with me and my brother. And it showed. It was a different situation, having 2 parents and an only-child is very different from 2 children with a single mom. They do become the forgotten ones. Be it that they never married, married never had children and the lost their spouse. They grow old and neglected. Forgotten and they loose themselves too much to do and no way to be able to take care of it. They become fearful and saddened. I am only 68, but I am very aware of what is getting away from me, and how difficult it is to care for my yard and gardens. Circumstances made me have to go back to work after hip replacements, and don't get me wrong, I am glad for it! I loved the work that you and your dad did on this property. Very nice job .lots of growth to clean up. It's nice to see you playing with your son, after a hard day working. God bless you and your family. Loved 😊
Amazing transformation 🙌🏻 It's just heartbreaking that none of Sheila's neighbours helped her out before it got so completely out of control, & just waited until it encroached on the footpath then called the council. I've no doubt this is a HUGE weight off of her mind & that she can now enjoy the space you've reclaimed for her & can finally look out of the window & smile 😁
I can’t believe people would let things get this far without at least helping in some way. Shame on them. A whip round to get a guy to blitz it earlier wouldn’t have cost them much. Thank God for heroes like these two. 🦸🏼♂️🦸🏼♂️
Until recently she had refused help. It was only when it got really bad she realised she had to let others help her. One of her neighbours commented on a previous video when someone else said this.

@@jillpackard5305 My garden is huge and was beset with bindweed and brambles and overly big trees. When I moved in I hired a company to remove the lot turf and all. I laid membrane every where and covered in chippings . Wheelbarrowed a total of 11 tons in and laid it myself, then built lots of raised beds and huge plant pots for plants and vegetables. Built a rockery and dug a wildlife pond, it's transformed and relatively maintenance free now other than a bit of weeding and pruning . Would never of coped with it otherwise in old age.
I can’t believe you guys found a car! What a transformation… how many years did it take to get like that? Sheila must be so relieved! Arthur is really starting to talk a lot, isn’t he? They grow so quickly!
I would credit the American comedian who said this if I knew who that was: “You might be a redneck if you mow your yard and find a car you didn’t know you had.”
It's absolutely disgraceful that the neighbor let their bramble overtake her yard and trap the poor woman in her house. That looks like we'll over a decade of growth. Meaning they watched that grow in their 70 something, then 80 something, then 90 something year old neighbor's yard. No way they couldn't see her yard from their upstairs windows. Thank you guys so much for helping this sweet lady out. You are a constant blessing 🙏
Ben, you and your dad have gone full on brambles! Amazing job you have done for the wonderful 96 year old Sheila. It makes my heart so happy to see her receiving your blessings at her age. May God continue to bless her and you and your beautiful family. Well done!
Some elderly people find it very hard to accept help. For example, my husbands grandma didn’t like that her adult kids took away her rugs, however she had too many of them and they were a trip hazard. She also had very old food in her cupboards but didn’t like people organising them. Some old people can be very stubborn.
She should have sold her property years ago and moved into a nice apartment. Those old people have money. Things were basically free in their young years.
I am surprised she doesn't have any family who would help her. It is so wonderful of you and your dad to be there for her. She probably really appreciates all your efforts! You do such fabulous work. And I just love the show at the beginning and the family outings at the end!!
Where’s the Grandchildren to Help Do the Yard Work. On Sunday We would be at Our Grandmas House to do All the Yard Work For Her. My oh My Where Is Her Family Out to Do n Keep Up Her Lawn n Yard. This Saddens Me to the Core. ❤
Some people don't have family, or family that have moved away and can't easily get to help. Or, in cases like mine with my mum - only me to help her (and I chose to not have kids, so no grandkids), and getting no support from anything official (It's like getting blood out a stone with Bexley council, I even called the council leader about her, and still got nothing at all!)... And us children also have our own lives to live and jobs to sustain :-( It's all horrible...
One of her neighbors commented on the last video. Apparently she’s been adamantly refusing help for years, and it’s a senior neighborhood. Getting her to accept of the neighbors doing the grocery shopping for her was already a massive chore apparently, so you can imagine how stubborn she was! The younger neighbors have finally convinced her to get help with the garden, she described it as “softening her up” which speaks volumes. Old people can be lovely, but don’t forget they can be extremely prideful and stubborn, and you can’t just trespass into a neighbor’s property to do their chores for them. That would get the police called on you and rightly so! As for family, who knows. Some people just don’t have anyone left.
You freed the chariot! (Pumpkins do grow in that color.) Waiting to see if there was a fence under there was intense. So happy to see a brick wall instead of a wooden fence crumbled under all that green weight. Wow, the soil level is at least 3 inches above the walkway! Indeed, you are "lovely fellas"!
My goodness. This isn't gardening so much as excavating! Cheers to you and your dad for doing this. Too bad the city saw fit to cite this lady rather than help her! Love your channel and appreciate the things you're doing for your community. ❤️
Yet another amazing job well done to you both, as much as I love blackberries I don't envy you having to clean up all the bramble bushes, they are such a nightmare once they have rooted 😣
@@Erin_Wilson_Studios yep, if you can keep them contained in a tub then it's great as they give out loads and loads of berries but if they take over your garden then their roots are a nightmare to kill off and so the bushes keep coming back 😞
That must have once been a beautiful garden (what we in the US would call a yard). You and your dad are doing an amazing job! Can't wait to see it completed. Sheila seems to be so appreciative and jolly. The outtro was fabulous!!😂
I'm only 73 and my yard is barren compared to Sheila's, but I totally understand how a clean yard makes you feel wonderful even if you only look at it from the windows. Y'all are wonderful to do this sort of thing.
I’ve seen businesses here in the US that use a herd of goats to take down overgrown vegetation. They would be far less discriminating in what got cut back, of course😂. The glut of plastics that you pull from these jobs makes me sad. Beautiful, compassionate work as always!❤
Wow,getting through the overgrown brambles and bushes, hard work, but very satisfying knowing how much Sheila appreciates what you are doing for her. Well done all. Arthur is coming into his own little self on camera, adorable x x fantastic work 👏
I was waiting for you to be pulled into the shrubs and disappear when you were pulling on those long vines. This has been an amazing job, so wonderful what you guys are doing for her.

The amount of work is monumental! It's amazing to see everything uncovered and looking like a real garden again. I imagine that it is very depressing for these older people to see their houses swallowed up. Thanks so much for all your incredibly hard work - your dad is just absolutely lovely and you are an amazing human being! ❤
That’s modern life …they don’t cut their own hedges or grass …so there’s little chance of offering help to the elderly lady ….older people are invisible mostly to the young .

If it had encroached onto the pavement the counsel would have done it the billed her 😡😡😡
Until recently she had refused help. It was only when it got really bad she realised she had to let others help her. One of her neighbours commented on a previous video when someone else said this.
@@jennieaddison7847 thank you for letting me know she had refused help unfortunately a lot of older people don’t like asking. I have watched these two for ages did they repair the fence at the front of the house footpath side.😀😀
@@paulstanding7267 not sure. They have repaired some of the fence but he did say at the end they still have some repairs to do so if not they will soon.
You are miracle workers doing the best job helping others in need. Transformative, angelic work.
I want people to understand how much back breaking work this is! Hours upon hours of physically hard labor! God bless you & your father. This is an incredibly selfless act on behalf of an adorable woman. 🙏❤️
Its not often you find a car lurking in the undergrowth! Great job guys xxx
New one for us! Thanks for watching
If the cars a starter it may be worth money down in London, to beat the ULEZ scheme. Thats if it's exempt.
@@TheByard It's a 1996 so sadly wouldn't be exempt :( something about finding cars in overgrown gardens like this that is so satisfying to watch though.. almost addicting!
There's a legacy here. You are the kind, non-judgemental, caring person because of your dad! He must be proud of you, and have the knowledge that you are bringing up your own children to have the stellar characteristics of that legacy. Well done gentlemen ... bless you both for the joy you give to those you help for free and allowing us to come along the journey!
Ben and Paul, the introduction had me in stitches 🤣 Arthur melted my heart - again. ❤
Thank you Luann , how are you? Glad you enjoyed
I love the total lack of hesitation when he was offered a pint to jump into the branches and leaves 😁
"What a lovely fellow you are." Truth
I can't wait to see the rest! I'm also really looking forward to an update on Norman, I remember you had a few more projects planned for him too!
Would be nice if a local turf laying company could see this and offer to do Sheila a free lawn transformation would be perfect finish
Or how about artificial turf as the upkeep would be easier.
@@jillpackard5305
Plastic turf ? Nice ! More unnecessary pollution !
Thank you for watching, yes it’s coming on great. Yeah he’s been talking quite well for a while now everyone says how we talks bless him
I would credit the American comedian who said this if I knew who that was: “You might be a redneck if you mow your yard and find a car you didn’t know you had.”
@@kennethjackson7574 it’s Jeff Foxworthy, and you are exactly right, lol! That had to be a shock! 😂
Anazing work. Well done. You and your Dad are very generous people. Your films restore belief in people's goodness 🎉
Well done!
I don't understand how her family, friends, neighbors let this happen. You and your dad are a blessing for many people. Keep doing it. ❤️
Some elderly people find it very hard to accept help. For example, my husbands grandma didn’t like that her adult kids took away her rugs, however she had too many of them and they were a trip hazard. She also had very old food in her cupboards but didn’t like people organising them. Some old people can be very stubborn.
Neighbours tend to keep to themselves these days.
Not everyone has family or grandchildren.
She should have sold her property years ago and moved into a nice apartment. Those old people have money. Things were basically free in their young years.
yeah right my old folks started out at 35 cents an hour picking chickens at armours have money my butt
They will more than likely come out the woodwork when she passes. God Bless Her.
Our neighbors had their single son help, until he passed. Nephews across the country. We help as we can.
@@victoria859 Hey, this will save the inheritors of her estate thousands! Relatives, what about neighbours, how could they let this happen!
And us children also have our own lives to live and jobs to sustain :-(
It's all horrible...
What a strenuous task and not to mention all the litter picking. Well done to both of you heroes.
Giant task and totally exhausting!!! Well done both of you. Fascinating to watch how you tackle this almost impossible job. Well done!!!!!!!❤
Gordon bennett, that's a mahoooooosive job, well done to both of you!
Thank you so much
Fun to see how your dad went from the guy in the background saying 'yeh' to dressing in costume and taking a star turn in the videos! :)
My goodness. This isn't gardening so much as excavating! Cheers to you and your dad for doing this. Too bad the city saw fit to cite this lady rather than help her! Love your channel and appreciate the things you're doing for your community. ❤️
You are a very good person for helping this very pressious lady.
He could have been a contender! One of the best intros I've ever seen. Great job you both are doing.
Oh thank you for that!! We loved it
@@FlawlessCleaningServiceswhy no subtitles this time ?
I typed them onto the video instead, thought it would be more helpful
Your dad and I are of similar age, probably, and that intro had me laugh out loud!
Man versus machine - I think your Dad's winning so far
Yet another amazing job well done to you both, as much as I love blackberries I don't envy you having to clean up all the bramble bushes, they are such a nightmare once they have rooted 😣
So brambles are blackberry canes/bushes?
@@Erin_Wilson_Studios yep, if you can keep them contained in a tub then it's great as they give out loads and loads of berries but if they take over your garden then their roots are a nightmare to kill off and so the bushes keep coming back 😞
Thanks, I wondered what the fruit was.
Thank you for all you do...
The sheer joy on the faces of those you help. Is so evident
Where have good neighbours gone too.
Helping the older generation.
Thank God for the lads.
Something good you have done
Good on you lads
What a sense of humor your Dad has. He is such a wonderful man. I see where you get your pleasant nature from Ben.
Thank you for your kindness to others, it's people like you and your dad that make this country Great Britain. Your family must be so proud of you x
Fantastic job boys brilliant, giving Sheila her garden back. Ben I hope you enjoyed your pint!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Best video I've seen in a long time you guys are fantastic the transformation you did for this lovely old lady is heart felt well done guys 🎉😢❤
I agree, awful neighbours not helping. Seems, people threw all their litter and junk over the fence. Really a shame. Thanks for helping this old lady❤
Loved watching you and your Dad( the Champ) having some fun and doing such a great job of helping Sheila! ❤️🇨🇦
He is the Champ Rita!! So grateful for him to go along with these mad ideas!
❤🇨🇦
the end is the best I love family keep it up and your boy will grow up to be a great man like you
I’ve seen businesses here in the US that use a herd of goats to take down overgrown vegetation.
Arthur is coming into his own little self on camera, adorable x x fantastic work 👏
Your dad, is a riot. It must so great being his son most days.
I was waiting for you to be pulled into the shrubs and disappear when you were pulling on those long vines. This has been an amazing job, so wonderful what you guys are doing for her.
WOW! Look at the amazing things discovered in the yard... a concrete pathway... a car... a garage... a brick wall... and so much space! Such amazing, valuable finds for a homeowner! ;) Thank you Flawless Cleaning Services for your kind assistance and tremendous work put into this! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You and your dad are good people the world would be a beter place if there was more like you. Keep up The good work.❤😊
Thank you so much! this will go towards the next blessing
I can’t handle all the cuteness, he is absolutely adorable 🕊💕
Wowser! Nice to see your Dad came prepared for this episode with his long trousers 😂🥊
Sheila is lucky to have you two fighting in her corner. The garden is really starting to show its potential now! Kept up the good work!
U 2 are superhero legends. Great job.
Good on you for helping her , I just wish more people would do this for older people
I'm amazed how big her garden really is. A secret garden for sure.
Love that Shelia can open her blinds and see something other than brambles. What an incredible job you and your dad are doing. Thank you.
Ben, you & your dad make a great comedy team! I enjoy watching your videos partly because of the humor! Your son is so adorable! I love his laugh! You & your dad are working your buns off taking out the vines and brambles! The equipment you're using is great! God Bless you two for blessing this woman and cleaning up her property! I know she's more than grateful for it! It's nice to see the progress in each video! Best to you both and your family!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I’m so glad you have enjoyed the videos, the tools have helped massively so grateful to kress, bless Arthur and he loved his green nose 😂
Hi, from Oakland, California! I do enjoy watching you and your dad work on these projects, especially the removal of brambles! What a team you are and a blessing to those in need! Keep up the wonderful work. I also enjoy watching you and your lovely family!
Thank you so much comments like these keep up going
Arthur was so funny saying "Snip" with each clip of the scissors. And, the green noses were adorable.
Oh, Ben and Paul, you are angels. You are always working intelligently, what I deeply appreciate, and the results are always amazing!
Dobrze że pomagacie❗🌹
Ciężka robota, ale wyniki widać ❗Bardzo potrzebna❗🍀
I enjoy the teasing between you and your father. Good humor. Tough job all the brambles. Keep going strong.
Your dad is a stickler with wonderful skills, I'm seeing that you picked up those determined skills also
👍👍❤Great job have a wonderful weekend
superbe transformation pour cette dame . Et magnifique petit garçon en fin de vidéo.
Little one is so cute at the end ❤
❤SENSATIONAL! Ben, tell us the "mystery of the car in the middle of the woods"😅I'm "dying" curious to know about it! Furthermore, I'll be looking forward to the next chapter of "the saga of the abandoned garden!" Excellent weekend for you and your father. You deserve to rest.🤗😇😊
Thanks for your wonderful comment
The amount of work is monumental! It's amazing to see everything uncovered and looking like a real garden again. I imagine that it is very depressing for these older people to see their houses swallowed up. Thanks so much for all your incredibly hard work - your dad is just absolutely lovely and you are an amazing human being! ❤
How their neighbors and others just idly sat and watched this grow and never offered a helping hand, is mind blowing to me.
That’s modern life …they don’t cut their own hedges or grass …so there’s little chance of offering help to the elderly lady ….older people are invisible mostly to the young .
It's mind-blowing how people can judge without asking or finding out if what they think is true.
It's just incredible. May God bless your channel.
What a tremendous amount of work but well done lads.
I love it when your Dad joins you. Awesome Team 😊🙂👍
Unbelievable, where do you start. First of all I thought I was tuning into a remake of Rocky and then it turns into a magic show and you pull not just a car but also the garage out of nowhere. What a lot of work, I can't wait to see the next episode. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing you and dad are ❤ I enjoy watching your videos so much you make my heart happy and the after family share I wish you and dad and entire family every every happiness life can offer you give so much. I think this is my new favorite channel ❤
Thank you for your kind comment
Mother Nature exploded in that yard! Poor Sheila, she really needed your help. Excellent job guys!!
Awesome job Ben and Paul! It amazes me what those overgrown gardens look like underneath all those vines. I am sure Ms. Sheila is ecstatically happy. Thank you both for all the hard work. I am shocked that she is 96! She certainly does not look like it. I hope she has years of enjoyment in her new, clean backyard. Loving Arthur! Such a cutie, and growing so fast. ❤️
Wonderful job again brother. You and your dad can be so proud of yourselves for helping such a lovely little lady. Brilliant video again.
Sheila's yard looks wonderful so far! Can't wait for part four!
Thanks
What delightful children you have!
Flippin' heck! That was a Herculean amount of work for just two of you. People see that you use any kind of machine and think, "easy, I could do that." Naw. Even with a weed whacker, you're gonna be feeling it after a couple hours if you don't regularly do this work. I'm mighty impressed.
Your dad is a gem, as are you. Great fun, great craic and some magnificent word done as well. As I watch your blogs and realize the responsibility of owning your own property with a garden and you don't have the ability of funds to maintain it just makes me want to downsize even more. Thanks for the GREAT work you two do sending strength and prayers your way x👍
Was thinking the same Joanne, I don’t want to upsize as maintenance is so important!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Ben many thanks for you reply, really appreciate it. Love watching your vlogs and I have already subscribed. I think you are very wise not to upside, your boys will grow up in a blink of an eye and then you'll be empty nesters!!! Enjoy your weekend and keep doing what you do best xx
