  • It's very rare that I break down a rookie's game under the microscope like this, but almost every hooper can gain some valuable knowledge from Herro's game, so it was only right. Definitely one of my favorite young players to watch, so we will all be keeping an eye on him for years to come!

    Easily one of my favorite players right now. I just love how he's been able to prove the critics wrong who were saying he wasn't that good. Anybody that was actually following him in school and watching his Heat games early in the season knew the truth: he's the real deal.

  • @ettore1036
    @ettore1036 3 роки тому +10

    Regarding the "don'tk ask me why but defenders don't know how to defend this" Jimmy explained why, and told this to Tyler too, he said that often teams don't react well to his plays because this is his first year in the league, so players have played too little against him and teams going in a game study on video how to contain the superstars of that team (like bam and Jimmy) they don't study much the rookies of the team, but Butler said to Tyler next Year with him playng more minutes and being recognised as a threat, players will be on him and will know him better so it will be tougher! So he will have to keep improving a lot.

    3:23 Actually its not the speed of the handoff at all. It may help a lil but a lot of teams always sag their bigs especially MIL. As for why Grant doesn't tag the rolling big its because look at who he's guarding its Duncan freaking Robinson!

    When he came to Kentucky it took one pre season game I knew he was a special player it honestly shock's me that he was a 4 star recruit and then in my opinion he became the best player on the team everyone said oh washington was great he did have a good season but if they run plays through him he would be showing more of his talent's I think he would be a top 5 pick in the draft miami is really lucky and thankful to have him as a Kentucky fan we've had alot of talent he was definitely a top 5 talent I've seen come through the program.

    I love your breakdowns donws and I learn a lot from them, thank you! however I didnt agree when you sad the big sagged off on the hand offs because of the speed, after watching miami all season they always sag off of Bam (which is their primary playmaker) which makes the big be sagging off when the handoff happens. Either way I loved the video, lv from Portugal! (in europe)

    • @trongray664
      @trongray664 3 роки тому

      Also he didn't mention that Grant couldn't tag the roller cuz he was on Duncan Robinson. Grant had plenty of time to tag Adebayo but he didn't wanna leave Robinson open. Its wasn't the speed of the handoff.

  • @aubinaps1427
    @aubinaps1427 3 роки тому

    If you like quick release, Duncan Robinson is one step ahead.
    When you look at Tyler Herro, you can see that part of his shooting motion is to get the ball down into his pump move, while Duncan directly integrates the ball in his shooting motion. That made him even a deadlier shoter. It makes his shot to be faster, less predictable, and still in a single fluid motion.
    Have a look it's so worth it :)

  • @gragalakaisel1477
    @gragalakaisel1477 3 роки тому

    he don’t have the most agile moves but his timing on his stepbacks and etc are super effective and timed well. it’s not fast but it’s so unpredictable you’ll never know when or what will he do. that’s why he’s losing most of his defenders.
