It's become quite clear to me that DR's priorities are in completely the wrong places. Their show looks absolutely fantastic (arguably the best looking NF stage of the year), but that doesn't matter if THE SONGS are of this quality.
To me, song-wise, this is the worst selection of the year. Very little genre variety, no native language songs, almost entirely forgettable radio-friendly stuff. At least selections like Malta, Moldova, San Marino etc. have character. I've made this point a lot elsewhere, but I've seen a lot of people call this selection "safe", which I disagree with because "safe" implies that it SAFEly gets them some kind of consistently good result (i.e. Sweden). Instead, this selection is the exact opposite of safe because I don't know if there's even one qualifier in here. I actually think the song they went with is pretty decent, but I don't think it'll be enough unless they turn the live performance up to 100 (and even then, it still might not be).

Exactly. Denmark didn't exactly have a strong selection last year either, but there was at least more than one singular memorable song lol.
