      My physical therapist noticed it...My left knee is pointing inward instead of lining up straight with my toes. She said I need to stretch my hip flexors....left knee hypertension and drop foot on the left side and frozen left shoulder. Stroke side effect. Your videos are very helpful. thank you 🌺

      My lower back hurts a lot less when I do strengthening exercises in the lengthened position. I would like to do gymnastics/soccer again but the constant tightening of my hips/adductors keep me from being able to do dynamic movements. I think I tighten up after sleeping/sitting, I’m back to square one every morning. I’m hopeful.

      I have a super deep lordotic curve (30 years of massage therapy). I now can't stand or walk for more than a few minutes. Lots of spasms. I was a fitness trainer BEFORE becoming a massage therapist. Now, at 68, I am severely limited in doing anything. My PT tried to help. Now I am getting spinal decompression but it is $$$! Will either your hip or low back program help me? I am highly motivated! Thanks!

    I've been sitting at a desk for 40 years. This winter I have experienced quite a bit of left exterior hip pain when sitting for extended periods of time and when walking and when laying in bed on my left side. I have been worried about arthritis and I hate going to doctors or taking meds. I have watched several of your videos and have been stretching and strengthening my hamstrings, hip flexors, glutes etc. based on your instructions. In the space of 2 weeks I have experienced a significant improvement (80-90%). Great youtube channel. Thanks from a grateful Canadian senior in Calgary Alberta!

    Thank you for your great videos. After running my first half marathon in my 50s, I thought I was a stud and ramped up my running training - without doing any other kind of exercises or strength training. Before long I could hardly walk and was diagnosed with a torn labrum. I am not a fan of surgery if there are good alternatives, and I always prefer to try to fix physical problems by exercise or therapy. I am a fan of your approach and really appreciate your videos. I am working on building strength and flexibility in my hips, and I also follow your shoulder videos. Thank you for the great information and advice on staying strong and healthy.

    I love your videos and still in the process of finding you! And seeing all the great things you have to share. I am wondering about and I can see 'why' insofar as the 'wrong way to stretch' hip flexors. But what IF you are doing yoga... in doing reverse warrior pose (Which is basically what you showed to 'not do') again, I can see why and I would imagine proper alignment/positioning is vital. but ?? Is there a way to do that pose - hold it. Without causing detriment or problems with the back and hips? (VERY helpful video though, please don't get me wrong.. Made some notes to remember during my next mat session). many thanks, I just hope to learn perhaps more about the reverse warrior!

      @@cynthiabiel7714 I'm not certain either. I do wonder about 'props' to support/balance. I will say this! Ever since stumbling upon the video, it's made me a lot more aware of my alignment - as I am sitting here now doing it (sort of!! LOL) Shoulders down/back, pelvis tucked, which helps pull tummy up and in, hips squared, then extending let's say right leg back to 'semi lunge' and careful reach out with arms (to perhaps a very careful warrior stance) - not being SO 'fragile' necessarily, but very very much aware of posture and alignment. I AM thinking of putting my foam roller upright - near by to have for balance. (Hopefully he will respond and have some ideas for us!! 🥰

    Broke My L1, L2 and L3 hip flexors are so tight for being in a lumbar brace for 3 months I can't get them to loosen up and having bad arthritis in both knees it is so hard to do stretches and movement so that I can stretch the hip out. I watch your videos all the time and try my best to work through with you.

    I’m a female. Im confused if what I’m feeling is hip flexor pain . Those bones that stick out on the front where pant pockets are usually located hurts . Assuming it isn’t bone or soft tissue cancer I have , can these (illiums?) hurt and that is what is called tight hip flexor pain ?

    Shouldn't the back leg straighten out or do they need to be bent in the knee?

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  2 роки тому +2

      You can do both. The more flexible you are the straighter the knee can be. But a lot of times straightening the knee leads to people losing low back position.
