Awesome! For Thermite use: 5 parts potassium permanganate 1 parts sulphur 1 parts silicon (Use mineral spirits to thin, if needed) Mix dry ingredients first, then add silicon and a bit of mineral spirits if needed. Form into the shapes you want, and insert a visco fuse into it. DO NOT use it for smoke mix, as it burns to hot. Use only for Thermite. (I like black iron oxide vs the red)
What I'd love to see is a simpler substitute for the primers on used/replica fuzes. Some of the ingredients in your ignition mix are restricted or impossibly difficult to get in my part of the world, many surely relate. Perhaps something silly with toy gun caps or matcheads could work.
@@Microwavingmetal Sure, though even those are hidden behind the counter these days, haha. The mix used in the paper caps seems perfect for this purpose but I couldn't get them to light a fuse in my amateur attempts.
@hohtari1 You could soak them in 50% ipa, and you could scrape off about 6 to 9 of them and pack them into whatever you like, and that should have enough heat to start any mixture or fuse you need. Hypothetically of course. But I can not recommend that you alter them in any way, and you should always use them in a safe manner the way the manufacturer prescribes.
that yellow stick is just decorative lmao. I love it man. I have about 8 acres and a range in SNH goffstown area specifically. If i had more company like you, i think my va seasonal depression appointments could be canceled haha. I look forward to making some orders, and future videos!

Hey, (This is not my device) But I feel compelled to inform you of a safer way to set your spoon(s). You need a finishing nail & a length of dental floss. * put the finishing nail through the two holes above the P-Pocket. * fold the floss in half, wrap the ends around your index finger, loop the hammer & hold it down. * set & secure your spoon. * remove nail until you need to secure your spoon again.
Hi, subscribed a while a go, and have really been enjoying your content. I have a question would a percussion cap work instead of a pistol primer? I will have to make the "device fuse assembly" from scratch anyway, and all primers (infact all ammunition parts) are highly regulated on this side of the atlantic. Anyway, percussion caps is what i have left from my muzzle loader shooting days and more important unregulated/ legal
So I started doing at home car painting like shit.... 15 years ago🙄😬 damn, anyway and I became a bit of a paint geek. And nitrocellulose was one of the first paints used to paint cars. Like you see here once the solvent evaporates it leaves behind a polymer film of nitrocellulose. These paints look great but they do have a drawback in that you know how spray rattle can paint is super flammable when wet but not so much after it dries? Well nitrocellulose paint retains that flammability pretty much forever 😳. It's been pretty much phased out with some niche uses like guitars and one other that's kinda fucky wucky and that's nail polish. Yup garden variety $1 a bottle nail polish is nitrocellulose paint and flammable as fuck forever. So if you know anyone who smokes and has their nails did share this tid bit. My mother in law got mad telling me there's no way "theyd" let a product like that be on the market, as she reached for another smoke. So I went to dollar general, I think, anyway and bought a bottle of clear and black because they were 75 cents each and showed her on the back of the bottle in print Jiminy Fucking Cricket couldn't read So i had to use my phone to zoom in with the camera and she said.... nothing and walked off😂 No rhyme or reason to my apocryphal tale just stuck inside with a busted ankle and bored stupid

I love this kind of content alot!
Could you put valves on opposite sides where it would spin? And would that give it a better cloud dispersion?
@inventionincarnate this
If you want a good fuse I would try American visco, it is really slagy and very genial burn, works great for me.

Greatness comes in all forms, today it comes in the form of a very rapid burning substance.

Once it’s reached maturity and you e streamlined the instructions on this project I’m super interested in trying it🎉
You can mix MEK with acetone to prevent it from evaporating as fast.

If you add magnesium to it, will it be hot enough to ignite thermite?
