I picked up the Footie V-2 yesterday from Richard at the Georgia TCC and tried it out today. I've been using his V-1 footie for about a year. Big improvement! Especially the latch. The ankle strap and new latch is also much improved. IMO it is the best foot ascender on the market.
I just purchased the regular SAKA a few days back. Come on Canada Post, bring me my SAKA. Thanks Richard for all your efforts and contributions to the Arboriculture industry. Keep on inventing.
Nice work. Now I need to get a new footie! I also really appreciated your video on the 3 components of a climbing device (multiscender). “What to do and not do in PANIC MODE!” I value all the effort you have put into advancing this industry.
Burrapeg here, from TreeBuzz. Impressive display, Richard. I love my SAKA and also my MiniSAKA. I use the Mini if I have to hike any distance for a rec climb and I want to travel light with minimum gear. It folds right up in my pocket! You mid-line attachable leather cambium saver sleeves are great also.
@@RichardMumford1 It's all good. I some of the original ones from Jon Mooring, (San Diego). Back in 1992ish, he showed me his first prototypes, larger diameter ones too, and 3 ft long for big limbs. I just don't want to cut the sewing and fiddle with the velcro, although I will. Anyway, I'm happy to buy from you. Thank you very much for all your excellent contributions to tree climbing safety. Hi Richard, I'm starting to but gear and I really like the looks of the hitch hiker x. I just can't seem to find it on your website to purchase. Am I just missing it?

Thanks Eric. Good to see you.

As always great innovations 🌲🌳🌲
I've got one of the original SAKA's and I love it. Now I know where I'm getting my next foot ascender.
Hello Richard, how do I get one of your leather cambium savers that has the velcro? I looked on your site but I didn't see it. Jim H.
I've been busy making some other things and haven't gotten around round to a new batch of those sorry.

It's not available yet and I keep saying it will be soon but I do think it will be soon.
would you say its heavy duty proof ?
I'm not sure what that means, time will tell. I believe in it, I've tested it, I use it.
Damn I should have ordered the footie too... I just have a Petzl pentin haha
Great video. Like the advancements. You're looking a bit grizzly there old man😉
True fact. 🙂
I want my saka!
Me too. We are still waiting on ascenders. 🥺
