BO1 is what really got me into zombies I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was younger. Me and my cousin would go around and just look at everything around, they use to put so much effort and love in these games.
3:09 I remember when it first came out my cousin got all the new cods and he got this.he was playing it one night with us all in the living room and I fell asleep I woke up to the banging sounds and was frozen i didn’t fall asleep another hour.its chilling if you never had seen it before and at the age of 9 I was petrified until I was 12
FR man its just the subtle details that you can see or hear in the menu alone that gives you the creeps especially being tied down to a chair if you didnt know that you can get out of it i was maybe 10 when this first released
To me the biggest thing was how smooth of a transition kino was from der riese and then how much it evolved up until moon. Call of the dead played a big hand in that
I would love to see a kino remake where instead of it being decade and ran down it's brand new and clean. Would give it a completely different atmosphere and in game feeling
I’ll always remember as a kid my friend telling me when u reach round 100 on nacht literal ZOMBIE ADOLF HITLER would pull up as the final boss and it was so believable back then too😭😭
Kino originally being a WaW map is probably why it’s so special to me cuz it was a Nazi Zombies map and idk why any time I’m playing a map that has nazi zombie models it just hits different for me
Will Jason Blundell ever come back, I have recently been playing BO3 this month and just wow, from the gameplay and graphics to think it has aged so well, it's beyond stupid that Treyarch fail to replicate a winning formula? It's like figuring out it takes 4 eggs to make a perfect omelette but they just keep adding random numbers of eggs for no reason...
I don’t think he will, bo4 end was really bad because the devs were rushed before they could do the planned ending and asked to work on the next game and wrap this up. Him and many other devs didn’t like that and left very unlikely he comes back unless they offer him creative freedom
seriously been wondering this. why can’t they keep the formula of the regular perk system, the same hud, gobblegums, a specialist, etc. all they have to do is keep making zombie maps in that formula and zombies will always be great
I ultimately think it’s corporate greed that’s ruining it, *cough* *cough* activision. My theory will either be proved wrong or right with cod 2024 as it’s been headed by Microsoft I believe
the fact that you can get outside is so cool because the first time i played the map and didnt know about it the contrast between the alley and the green room is perfect
the ascension teddys seemimgly watching you reminds me of the bo2 teddy bear easter egg where in theater mode if you kept an eye on the bears youll catch them looking in your direction before plopping their heads back down to not get caught
it just makes me sad that cod zombies hasnt really enhanced the feeling of claustrophobia or just hopelessness when adventuring the map just pg shit that modern day has plagued it really
@1:02:18 that’s what rev was suppose to be. It was the ether version of Agartha that’s why Monty’s house is there the realms of the main maps aka origins motd de naucht and Shan to represent the different stories. (Nauct being the start of it all origins being the end and beginning of the forever loop, Shang being the first real attempt to enter agartha, motd being the opposite loop to mirror the main loop of origins (aka the yang or origins ying) and de being the first real detour from the loop of origins (even tho it’s technically the giant since it’s the first alter ego to die)
Shadows really grasped that “cult” vibe really well especially with the underground area and the after pap experience, Der Eisendrache did a good job of capturing the holy shit”/medieval vibe, Zet really tried to go back to that bo1 vibe of map, Gorod was just an action movie and Rev had a very sci-fi vibe, is how I’d describe bo3 but they never really went the same way with the feel of bo1
i mustve been around 10 when i played this game with my friend kai because i couldnt own shooter games at the time id go down his and play kino or five what a time to be alive fr
It’s funny, ascension is not only a campaign map. It’s also launch in multiplayer. Although almost all cod games have multiplayer maps made from the campaign maps and vise versa
still till this day, shang was the scariest map for me. the story alone was just “wow there’s no escape” but what made it so much worse was the design. the map was so confusing and so close quartered and the napalm zombie wow. such an underrated map and still the only map i haven’t gotten round 100 on
I just watched a video of lex saying zombies isn't meant to be scary or horror, it's better when it delivers a gripping adventure. Yet here he is glazing treyarch for the horror vibe. Make up your mind bruv
Bro the first time i played kino, i spawned in shrunk into the corner next to the spawn window at the bottom of the stairs because i saw the zombies shadow from the upstairs window, had me scared lowkey. But then i got hit from the window behind me that i didnt know was there. Needless to say i screamed shat my pants and ran away all at once
One thing I always thought of when it came to "Five" and "Ascension" since both take place at the same time like how lex said at 24:20, is would it match up if in the starting room of Ascension build enough points during the cutscene of Five would you be able to turn on power at the exact same time when the color switches in the ending of Five's cutscene...?🤔
FIVE is my top 1 map I started with black ops 1 like mid way thru its life cycle I had no DLCs and only had the 3 maps I played kino was great but then i played FIVE i got to be JFK the pentagon thief was terrifying but fun winter howl was kinda poopoo but it was cool regardless at the time it was the new raygun, the tight spaces the adrenaline rush you'd get pulling off a juke to get past a tight space between zombies risking your whole game or quick revive if solo, Some people dog on FIVE for no reason if your bad just say so its a gem of a map I'll never say no to a game of FIVE
It was explained in classified that the zombie astronauts are Broken Arrow Astronauts teleported to Griffin Station that never returned, zombified in the teleportation process
*There are a lot of young men who enjoyed black ops 1 that are no longer with us. I imagine all of us have a brother that, for whatever reason, is no longer with us. Can we pray for them all tonight? Just give them a thought for a second, remember their name or look through old photos. And, look after your boys that are still here. God bless you lads, love you* ❤
so what if the person in the suite is maxis that would explain why it gives off a electro type shockwave whenever you kill him and why it steals perks, and since he controls the electronics of the station he could try and control the electronics in the suit
Can we talk about the fact that in the menu of bo1 the tv shows quick revive at the location of speed cola in five I always wondered if five was supposed to be a map without quick revive in the spawn room
Treyarch does a great job at showing terror without it being blatant terrorism if that makes sense. Specifically from Campaign. While there may not be a "No Russian part MW3 2023", there are definite terrifying things that are presented and cause questioning from the player. These same things would be used in multiplayer map storytelling and made it much easier to translate into zombies.
Five scaring me yet because Is the map in that i feel more watched by someone behind the window, the start room Is the core of this feeling for me more than the lab
Kino makes you lose your sense of safety five makes you feel like you know nothing ascension makes you feel eerie bc of gersh asking for help and your jus stuck in a rocket test site cotd makes you feel helpless Shang you lose your sense of direction and moon your lonely and it’s quiet
Ok it’s November 2024 I had a silly theory what if the astronaut zombie is actually dr groph since we know he’s on the moon during the DE Easter egg (I think it was groph)
Tbh 5 dosent feel that imemrsive or scary since its just reused assets from the campaign. Like the labs are a copy paste of rebrith island with a bit of extra blood
When is humanity going to realize we are in heaven and the devil wants to destroy it with all their propaganda. He wants to claim heaven and we are letting him. Which side are you on ?
The fact that we all know all these facts and seen lex cover them multiple times but it’s still entertaining every time is insane
Ye
We like it here lol
BO1 is what really got me into zombies I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was younger. Me and my cousin would go around and just look at everything around, they use to put so much effort and love in these games.
Remember the classic version of Five I can't ever forget that!
Lex’s 814th cod zombies iceberg reaction 👏 just as entertaining as the first🎉
Very true indeed, I been here for so long honestly time goes fast!
Love the video again, cool zombies experience 😁
sped up video and it still being 85 min is crazy 😭😭😭
Good to know that I wasn't crazy
Lmao
@@azazcookbro9160Same fr I thought I was crazy
All you gotta do is change the playback speed to .75x and you’re set
He pausing hella lol

@ i think you’re right that would make sense
normal people: “that teddy bear is really creepy. it feels like its watching me”
Lex: “thats one scary lookin toybox”
I would love to see a kino remake where instead of it being decade and ran down it's brand new and clean. Would give it a completely different atmosphere and in game feeling
Similar feeling to dead of the night maybe
Yea dude great idea!
I’ll always remember as a kid my friend telling me when u reach round 100 on nacht literal ZOMBIE ADOLF HITLER would pull up as the final boss and it was so believable back then too😭😭
I know😭😭😭@@RainRain..
Bo1 is the game that made me really enjoy pve modes in fps games
This is NOT an iceberg type video, it's literally a retrospective to the maps. Holy yappatron exceptional gamer
Dude yeah I I honestly of enjoyed this more but it's not a nice break
Man i could cry because zombies isn't the same like back in the day's
Kino originally being a WaW map is probably why it’s so special to me cuz it was a Nazi Zombies map and idk why any time I’m playing a map that has nazi zombie models it just hits different for me
Fact. I miss that feeling
So your enjoyment is based off seeing Nazi symbols 💀
Those old waw bo1 zombies characters models had brilliant designs
Glad you guys agree, nice to know I’m not alone
Fr I love how cold war and vanguard bought back Nazi zombies
Will Jason Blundell ever come back, I have recently been playing BO3 this month and just wow, from the gameplay and graphics to think it has aged so well, it's beyond stupid that Treyarch fail to replicate a winning formula?
It's like figuring out it takes 4 eggs to make a perfect omelette but they just keep adding random numbers of eggs for no reason...
LMFAOOOOOO I've never seen it put into words so easily before
I don’t think he will, bo4 end was really bad because the devs were rushed before they could do the planned ending and asked to work on the next game and wrap this up. Him and many other devs didn’t like that and left very unlikely he comes back unless they offer him creative freedom

Let’s goooo like the 17th time lex has done one of these!!!
Ik😂
fr i thought this was a re-upload
before i knew the name of Five meant the pentagon i always thought it was referring to the four playable characters and the pentagon thief
Hey that's actually kind of cool theory
How many zombie icebergs are there. Can’t wait for the zombie iceberg iceberg
I cant believe he skipped over the part where you can get out of the chair an type into the computer
Lex: “On moon you blow up the whole earth”
transit crew: 🧍
Brock and Gary still in the loop to this day 14 years later 💀
the fact that you can get outside is so cool because the first time i played the map and didnt know about it the contrast between the alley and the green room is perfect
the ascension teddys seemimgly watching you reminds me of the bo2 teddy bear easter egg where in theater mode if you kept an eye on the bears youll catch them looking in your direction before plopping their heads back down to not get caught
6:37 literally me
it just makes me sad that cod zombies hasnt really enhanced the feeling of claustrophobia or just hopelessness when adventuring the map just pg shit that modern day has plagued it really
Going outside in kino is like leaving a real theater in the afternoon you feel like it will be dark but its bright and only 2 pm
Kino scared me as a kid but now it's My personal favorite zombies map lol
My all time favourite is origins but my favourite zombies survival map i Kino the map I played the most.
This video really highlighted my childhood and how i really felt playing these maps. Def made me appreciate the game more than i already did.

There’s a guy who noclips all the cod zombies maps. I think you should do a reaction to those vids too/ they’re amazing
Wake up babe, Lex reacted to another iceberg
“You probably thought of a bo1 map” I didn’t even get time to think
I blame ascension for making me think people in older times saw in black and white until I was like 12
i mustve been around 10 when i played this game with my friend kai because i couldnt own shooter games at the time id go down his and play kino or five what a time to be alive fr
It’s funny, ascension is not only a campaign map. It’s also launch in multiplayer. Although almost all cod games have multiplayer maps made from the campaign maps and vise versa

I vividly remember playing five solo when I was like 7 at my uncles house and have to quit because I got scared by the sound of the glass breaking
I just watched a video of lex saying zombies isn't meant to be scary or horror, it's better when it delivers a gripping adventure. Yet here he is glazing treyarch for the horror vibe. Make up your mind bruv
5 is still the scariest map of all time idc idc great map but it’s terrifying
I don’t think anyone remembers this but I remember shooting the door to the void window and the door itself bleeds when you shoot it
My one brain cell went “aww shit here we go again”
Bro the first time i played kino, i spawned in shrunk into the corner next to the spawn window at the bottom of the stairs because i saw the zombies shadow from the upstairs window, had me scared lowkey.
But then i got hit from the window behind me that i didnt know was there.

been watching since shadows dropped and you used to do the daily stream grinds, still the GOAT lex

No, the intro is only 67 seconds long. It would be too quick to be able to build the points, ignoring the ascension loading screen
@@sjsjsIIIIIIIIIIndndnjdhdhxmaybe bo3 wit shopping free?
@radicalplaysyt9910 FIVE isn't a part of Chronicles, so I'd only go off of what the base games' abilities were since both were on Bo1
The two times speed on the video got me I don’t know if I can watch this bro. Genuinely getting to me😂
I remember being like 10 and always playing in the alley way because it felt safer to play😂😂
i actually never knew the photos on kino were real photos of german soldiers
bo1 was something else man

BO1 zombies was definitely best story. When it came out it was so interesting and mysterious
Walk into the abandoned theatre and start hearing the starting music
It was explained in classified that the zombie astronauts are Broken Arrow Astronauts teleported to Griffin Station that never returned, zombified in the teleportation process

Yes jfk was cast for this
It was confirmed by god himself
Make sure to get round 100 brother ... I died 🤣

This is such a g… “ show dont tell “ .. … this is s “ show dont tell “ ….. thi.. “ show dont tell “ this is such a great video.
“ show dont tell “
i love the iceberg part of this iceberg
most things are pg now and I feel like the only things that can get away with it is actual horror movies, for blood and gore unless its gone that far
Finally ealry for a video beem watchin since Blackops2
Honestly I think Samantha's normal room is more fucked up than the the actual fucked up version
The moon’s astronauts are people sent from the past. Don’t blame you for not knowing because it’s Alpha Omega’s lore lol
Where!?
CUBA!!!(Awesome guitar sound)
You know when you dolphin dive off the kino stairs, if you land on the door on the ground you don’t take any fall damage.
Five scaring me yet because Is the map in that i feel more watched by someone behind the window, the start room Is the core of this feeling for me more than the lab
39:50 Liberty Falls...
When u reacting to the bo2 video?
Shangri la is a great map that was very unfun to play especially with randoms 😅
kino fanboys when they see a window with bugged lighting
I kinda wonder why you get sent to five after the campaign?
Stay strong brother
Not 8 year old me playing zombies on my dads xbox and being to scared to turn on power on five

Fr
Why do i feel like this is a reupload i swear to god ive seen this
old zombie maps are so sad the memories
where is my NO audio boys at we love this video
I can only assume there was a bit of an editing error, cause the actual video he is reacting to is at like 1.5x speed.
Tbh 5 dosent feel that imemrsive or scary since its just reused assets from the campaign. Like the labs are a copy paste of rebrith island with a bit of extra blood
We dont need any more icebergs.
This isn't actually an iceberg it's a map like relooking all the maps as nothing to do with an iceberg I don't even know why he said that
They need a zombies map as mason and three other peeps. And the first maps starting room is the menu room from bo1.
The death-figure made of blood was also in cod waw der riese behind the staircase to the underground tunnel
Best zombies map of all time
Lex is such a G
I miss his stream highlights
You wanna know what other map the zombies dodge your bullet is its die rise
Beware of the 6, was a prediction of drake blowin up . =0
Where is full video
bro this isn’t an iceberg!!! wtf lex???
Sped up video hurt my bwain mayun
When is humanity going to realize we are in heaven and the devil wants to destroy it with all their propaganda. He wants to claim heaven and we are letting him. Which side are you on ?
I love icebergs
Lex constantly complimenting Five, and talking about how great of a map it is.... While also never playing it is low key irritating lol.
Tf u mean he never played it that doesnt even make sense
Wait wheres the fantasy in bo1?
literally iconic
Is this a reupload??
Why is this video named the cod zombies iceberg?
Why does the video sound sped up?
