Great attempt from director.. Still so many facts to be told in the movie like savithri amma gari relationship with gummadi garu and ANR garu... And jamuna garu is also missed... Those days movie journalist ramarao garu told in telakapalli ravi interview, savithri garu was alcoholic because of a Tamil comedian chandrababu... And her richness and kind ness also not shown is a complete way... Anyway good movie...

Chala baga tisaru. This film will be inspiring for today's generation children and they will know how was it in olden days and actors. Entha sahasam chesi adbuthmaina cinema chesaru naga ashwin garu. It was dream to me to see old films on big screen. I see old films mostly, and people used to call me old fashioned guy. But these kind of biopic will be succesful to few only i.e who present in good way.

'మహానటి' సినిమాని రెండు సార్లు ఈ రోజుకే చూశాను. కాస్త గాప్ తీసుకొని మూడో సారి చూస్తాను. 'గాంధీ' సినిమాలో గాంధిజీ పాత్రకు కింగ్ బెంస్ లే ఎలా సరిగ్గా సరిపోయాడో, సావిత్రి గారి పాత్రకు కీర్తి సురేష్ అటు పోలికలలోగాని, అందములో కాని, అభినయములో కాని అంత సరిగ్గా సరిపోయారు. ఆమెకు జాతీయ అవార్డు కూడా దక్కే అవకాశం ఉంది. సంగీతం కోసం ఈ సినిమాని రిపీటేడ్ గా ప్రజలు చూసే అవకాశం కూడా ఉంది. మ్యూజిక్ చాలాచాలా బాగుంది. అయితే సావిత్రికి జన్మనిచ్చిన పుణ్య దంపతుల పేర్లు ఎక్కడా చెప్పలేదు. సావిత్రిగారు పుట్టిన ఊరు గుంటూరు జిల్లాలోని చిర్రావూరు అని చెప్పలేదు. తండ్రి గారి పేరు నిశ్శంకర్రావు గురవయ్య. ఆయన ఊరు గుంటూరు జిల్లా చింతలపూడి అని చెప్పలేదు. తల్లి గారు అల్లాడ వారి కుటుంబములో జన్మించిన సుభద్రమ్మ గారు. సావిత్రి గారిని మూడుసార్లు నిశ్శంకర సావిత్రి అని సినిమాలో చెప్పించారు. కాని ఇంటిపేరు నిశ్శంకర్రావు అని కరక్టుగా చెప్పలేదు. సినిమా ఆఖర్లో ఫొటో క్రింద కూడా ఇంటిపేరు నిశ్శంకర సావిత్రి గణేశన్ అని తప్పుగా రాశారు. దుర్గాంబ అనే ఆవిడ సావిత్రి నలుగురు పెద్దమ్మలలో ఒకరు. ఆమె కె వి చౌదరి గారిని కులాంతర వివాహం చేసుకున్నారు. మిగతా పెద్దమ్మలు, ఆమె మావయ్య అందరూ తమ కాపు సామాజిక వర్గములోనే వివాహాలు చేసుకొన్నారు. తెలుగు ప్రజలు చౌదరి గారికి రుణపడి ఉన్నారు. ఎందుకంటే ఆయనే కదా సావిత్రి గారిని పట్టుబట్టి సినిమాల్లో చేర్పించినది. సావిత్రిగారికి 'మారుతి' అనే అక్కగారు ఉన్నది. సుభద్రమ్మ గారు సావిత్రిని మరియు మారుతి అనే పెద్ద కుమార్తెతో సహా విజయవాడలోని దుర్గాంబ గారింటికి వచ్చింది. కాని సావిత్రిని ఒక్కదాన్నే తీసుకు వచ్చినట్లు తప్పుగా చూపించారు. అరుణోదయ నాట్యమండలి యజమాని పేరు సుంకరకనకారావు. ఆయన పేరు బానరు క్రింద రాసి ఉండాల్సింది, సినిమా డైరెక్టరు ఆదుర్తి సుబ్బారావు సావిత్రి గారి అభిమాన డైరెక్టరు. ఆయన పేరు ఎక్కడన్నా చూపించి ఉండాల్సింది. అలాగే సావిత్రి కొడుకు కుమార్తెలు ప్రస్తుతం ఎక్కడ ఉన్నారో సినిమా ఆఖర్లో వాయిస్ వోవర్ గా చెప్పి ఉండాల్సింది. ఎందుకంటే 'మహానటి' ఒక బయోపిక్ కదా. శాశ్వతముగా ఉండిపోయే సినిమా తీశారు మన నాగ్ అశ్విన్ రెడ్డి గారు. వారికి ధన్యవాదాలు. సావిత్రి గారిని కాపు సామాజిక వర్గము వారు ఒక కాపు తేజముగా మురిసి పోతూ ఉంటారు. దాంట్లో తప్పులేదుగా?
