That might have been true during the 2020 election but now that number is likely lower by at least 15 million. The mid term elections proved this (remember this was the time where the frustration over high inflation towards the Democrats was at its peak). Economically speaking it’s not the Democrats fault, but most voters aren’t economists or tend to listen to them. So the fact that the Republicans failed to do better during the midterms is a strong sign that a sufficient (for general elections) percentage of conservative voters have greatly soured on trump and MAGA.

Those Republicans who don't speak out are worried for not only their jobs, but their lives and the safety of their families.
As a Democrat I often try to have conversations with my Republican neighbors. One day recently I was talking with this gentleman and we were talking about some recent comments made by Trump. So he is convinced that it does take 15 flushes to flush a low flow toilet. I told him I have a low flow toilet, in fact all my toilets are low flow, and I have never required 15 let alone 5 let alone 2 flushes. He did not believe me. We also started to talk about electric vehicles, of which I have one. That he believed I had to stop on my way to work in order to recharge the battery. I said do you think anyone would buy an electric vehicle if that were true? And in reality, I live 18 miles away from work, I charge my car Friday overnights. And I'm good for the week. He didn't seem to be able to accept that as the truth, I said I can help you do the math if you need to use a calculator. So this is the challenge we're facing. My neighbor is convinced that I need to charge my electric vehicle twice a day in order to get to and from work. He's also convinced that I flush my toilet 15 times because it's low flow. I told him, if he needed to flush his toilet 15 times it's not the toilet, it's him. He may need more fiber in his diet.
Reason he was flushing 15x it's because he was flushing documents. They had to call a plumber to unclog many times. He was also eating them too.
In these conversations with Trump lovers a lot . It’s hard to listen to them rationally and remain polite, but somehow as an adult, I still believe in civility, but the MAGA base have reduced their logic to high school arguments , making fun of age or physical appearance to demean anyone they debate first, like MTG, as if anyone can express constructive points of view after they begin with bullying. Trump has reduced them to this mindset and behavior. Sad.

However I’m not sure what the Republican Party is now - GOP, MAGA etc. The point I was trying to make is that republican voters voted her out even though she has incredibly strong republican values, just not MAGA, and clearly not Trump.

We may not like her political views but what gives her a spine is the willingness to give up her entire political career considering she had a high position in Congress, in order to speak the truth about Trump when so few in her party have.
