The spice combination on the cauliflower recipe with that sauce looks so good omg!! I use chickpea flour (also known as besan flour) to coat things and it goes super crunchy, I definitely recommend!

Taking the chipotle sauce as "back up" speaks to my soul. I get nervous at other people's houses when they put sauce away after serving. I need that close by in case of condiment scarcity.
We make a carrot drink here in the Caribbean (some of the islands). It is similar to what you did. We blend the carrots with water and strain it. Then add nutmeg, vanilla extract/essence, angostura bitters (optional) and condensed milk. But to make it vegan you can switch out the condensed milk for a plant based milk with a good sweetener.

@@abetweene The reason I like your cooking is that you use lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and don't rely on meat substitutes such as Quorn or Soya proteins, neither of which I like, but most vegan recipes rely on. Is it called a recipe book or a cookery book? I have never done anything like it myself, but I would definitely buy a copy or two. However, you will have to work out how much of this and that, that you put in. Think about it only you can decide. Thanks for the doable yummy recipes x
Been waiting for a food video for what feels like FOREVER! Haven't even finished the video yet; do you think the cauliflower would work in an air fryer? I don't have one but would love to try a battered cauliflower "fried" in the airfryer. I made something similar to what you made a few months ago and haven't been able to get it out of my head (fried though, and I'd like to not fry again because of all the oil). It was SO good. I used a bit of seltzer water in the batter and the cauliflower had an almost glass like crust.
@@abetweene Have you thought about using potato starch? And I mean from scratch. You could make Latkes or something and then use the starch leftover from that to coat things for anything you'd want to make crispy. I'd also highly recommend trying soda water/seltzer in a batter! It mimics what you'd get from a beer batter mix.
fun tip since I know you are a food-waste-repurpose queen: save all the scraps from your veggie cuttings in the freezer (cauli flower leaves and stems, broccoli stems, sad tomatoes, kale stems) and put them in a curry when you don't have fresh food available!
I love the little surprise in your voice when the next clip comes on and you don't remember making/eating that because that happens to me too, sometimes I take pictures of my food to send to my mom/sister and when I see them later I absolutely can't remember it happening lol
you should try Caputo's gluten-free flour. it is the best one out there, especially for pizza and bread. for years my family has been trying too many different flours and this is the best thing out there. I highly recommend it!

They often carb load and consume more fat, oftentimes saturated fats. I don’t know if you have a video on plant based proteins but I’d love to know your recommendations for plant based proteins, including protein shakes, if you drink them. Thanks, sis!

Don't know if you'd had any luck with potato flour/ potato starch but typically that helps keep the crispiness in batters- could be worth a try!

I always use different gluten free flours and mix them and that usually works better for me

oh absolutely! ive definitely gotten them crispy in an air fryer, but not with this flour. Im just not a fan of it for that reason.
