    This guitar is absolutely fantastic! Sonically awesome and has (IMHO) gorgeous looks! You should definitely check them out if you haven't before. The sixpack of sound offers lots of tonal variety with plenty of accuracy and clarity!

    Charvel is knocking it out of the park,with these Pro Mod Series.You get a lot of guitar,with good quality,for a reasonable price.
    Now,if they could offer a couple more colour options for the DK24 H-S-S/H-S-H models,that would've been nice.
    Also,the neckjoint on the DK 24 models is so much more comfy,then the blocky Fender style joint.I know the purists will rebell,but a San Dimas,with the DK24 neck joint would be amazing.

      I agree. A few more candy colors (green) would have been great and I'd have one on order. Perhaps there's some more colors coming late.

      My only request outside more color options would be to still be able to get one without a recessed trem...

    Wow Cam, I love that ebony fretboard! Between the dark fretboard and that purple finish, it has an overall look that reminds me of something Jake E. Lee would play. I have an old Gibson Explorer with an ebony fretboard I totally adore! It's my favorite guitar in my collection. I bought it new in 1980 and, although I've bought and sold many guitars since then, I could never sell this one!!! Back to the fingerboard... ebony is just so smooth!!! And you're right, each note within a chord can be heard, even with the gain turned up pretty high. Congrats on this new Charvel. (Sounds good too!)

    Hey Cameron,Awesome review, as usual. So you've been gushing about the DK24 2 points, and now you have the San Dimas purple. So which one is your favorite at the moment? Also, how do you contrast the full shred with the JB in the bridge? Thanks!

    • @CameronCooper
      @CameronCooper  5 років тому

      I love them both equal, they both do what I want from a guitar very well. I'm a San Dimas guy by enlarge because of the locking trem and JB in the bridge. However the DK24 2pt can pull off sounds a San Dimas can't quite master while having the same awesome feel of the San Dimas. If you're after a jack of all trades guitar the DK24 2pt is the way to go, if you prefer a rocking guitar and occasionally dabble with single coil voicings the San Dimas is your option. Either way, both are great guitars! It comes down to what kind of player you are and your taste finishes. :)

    Also for locking tuners mine loses tune quite quickly for a HT.
    My frets are sharp from 15+, not a huge deal but for a $1000 AU guitar expect a bit more.

    Hi Cam, firstly your channel is awesome. I find it really informative and interesting. After watching your videos on the pro mod DK24 HSH orange and the San Dimas Style 1 2019 purple, it has rekindled my love for Charvel. I have a MIJ model 4 which I bought brand new in 1986. I haven’t played the guitar in 20 years as I’ve been playing Les Paul’s and strats since, but after looking at your reviews, I took it out of its case, set it up and restrung it and it’s awesome. I had totally forgotten how good it was. I’m considering the pro mod DK24 HSH or the 2019 San Dimas style 1 but to throw a cat amongst the pigeons, today my friend offered me a USA select San Dimas style 1 HSS HT satin white. It’s about the same price as the other 2 MIM guitars €1000 or £860. I’d really appreciate your opinion and advice. £860 for New Mexican or 2nd hand USA. Fantastic channel. Cheers Ed

    • @CameronCooper
      @CameronCooper  4 роки тому +1

      The Neck scale is just like a regular strat. It has a compound radius spanning from 12-16inches meaning the fretboard gets flatter as you go up the neck - therefore it does change. By the way, I own 3 of the DK models and love them all! The DK24s are more versatile and perhaps a little more comfortable to play but at the same time I adore the San Dimas and So Cal just as much.

      Absolutely nothing... I leave all my guitars exactly as they are when they come out the box. Why try and fix something that's not broken?
