Gomti express 12419/20 is a VIP train B/w lko - ndls till 2008. After that rest of all is a history. Poor controlling and too much stops significantly drops its status...

Bhai you won't believe it.. but out of the 500 odd passengers on that train i was the one who was having a happy face..!! one even asked me "Janab aap itna kyun khush ho rahe ho jabki hum itne samay se sadh rahe hain yahan" :D :D i was not able to tell him the fact that this what i crave for the most when i travel on such trains :D :D

In southern railways maximum a passenger train will be looped for either 1 or 2 trains but an express train looped for 10 trains here is an unbelievable one.

Naseeb bura mere co-passengers ka jo 2 ghante takk atke rahe bina chai, khaane peene ke..!! Naseeb Accha mera jahan mujhe kuch anokha dekhne and enjoy karne ko mila ie. 10 overtakes :D
I agree but the overtakes happen in sets like CNB Shatabdi till Sealdah Rajdhani at one station and then Howrah Rajdhani till Patna Rajdhani Express at another station.. very rarely all the overtakes happen at one spot just like this one.!!
Well Poorva's two halts played a spoil sport... When Sampoorna Kranti crossed us.. Poorva had just departed from Tundla Jn from it's scheduled halt thus giving huge gap for Gomti to cover..!!
Not regular bhai..!! But it was only on that day.. Gomti was diverted between NDLS-GZB due to repair work so it took 2 hours b/w NDLS-DLI-GZB ..!! By the time we reached SKB, CNB Shatabdi had crossed Tundla..!! Btw Poorva was on time.. it's endless halts screwed the overtake... ALJN, TDL halts ensured that Gomti escaped it's beating.!!

Actually my train ie. Gomti Express was heavily late by over 3 hours while these trains which overtook my train were running on time and moreover they were high priority one's hence the controllers gave those trains preference over my train..!!
I know if this train gets delayed by an hour before in-between etawah to Kanpur it happens . . I hv been travelling this train since my childhood .. .. I remember I was travelling by this train in 2016 July on the eve of Eid .. It had to stop at phaphund at least 1 hour 15 min. To pass 5 Raj , 2 garibrath , Bihar sampark kranti , Mahabodhi , Kanpur shatabdi , Howrah duronto etc ... It arrived Lucknow 12:45 am. It was horrible exp.
That day it was delayed between Delhi- Ghaziabad as it was diverted via Old Delhi so it took 2 hours to reach GZB and then further delay resulted in it getting delayed by over 3 hours by the time we were reaching Etawah.!!
One of the best capture I have seen ! Brilliant !! I see some captures you had taken from the platform.Were you juggling between platform and gomti express onboard ?
Actually sir.. there were police officials roaming around the station master's room.. they told me to shoot the trains from the doorstep of my coach.. so Kanpur shatabdi i had to take from the door steps but then before Dibrugarh rajdhani they all went inside the SM room so i came to the platform to shoot the Rajdhani. Then again before Sealdah rajdhani they started roaming and i had to rush back to my coach.. then once again they went inside and i shot the Champaran Humsafar just outside the station master's cabin as the lighting around his cabin was fantastic.. and then just before Ranchi Garib Rath the police officials came back as their train for Tundla was arriving.. So once they were gone i went to the station master , told him about my intentions and why i was shooting this footage initially he mistook me as a moist but later on after having small chit chat he understood that i was a train enthusiast and from Howrah Rajdhani onwards till Sampoorna Kranti i was shooting outside his cabin and later on he even asked me to take a pic of him :D When we finally departed Balrai.. he waved me and i waved him back :D

i meant facing these overtakes is something like a memory to cherish.. the adrenaline rush you get when a train flies by you at 130 is simply impeccable :D
That was at Tundla Jn when we departed from Balrai..!! Poorva runs neck to neck with Sampoorna Kranti till Aligarh post that the halts at Aligarh and Tundla increases the gap..!!
It’s not good to make a super fast train stop for 1:30 hours at a station. Indian Railways should know that the passengers of Gomti express had given the fare as well. The train lacks pantry services and making it halt at such a small station (where there is no refreshment service ) is not at all a wise decision.
This is totally waste of LHB coach. Gomti is provided by LHB but it still runs late. This is not the first time when 10s of train overtake Gomti, it happens almost daily. Don't understand why Gomti faces this discrimination every day.

Poorva aur SK me 30-40mins ka gap ho jata hai bhai.3 halts ke kaaran Poorva make up nehi Kar paati.
I wish if I travel in NCR section which is very rare but if possible I prefer to go with premium guys to avoid looping😂😂😂

Not on daily basis but when it gets late it does get this treatment but not by 10 trains but by the Rajdhani's only ..!!
