By far, the best video I've found on the subject. No driving to the store to show all the options, no showing the package being opened, and no repeating lots of what others have said on the subject. Just the facts and well presented. Thanks, Tom!
Thanks for posting a simple explanation about SD cards.
Thanks for the info, I just usually buy whatever size I need, now I know more
Very good info, I never really paid that much attention except for how many mb and how much it costs for the SD micro card.
Hey man, can you do an updated one of these tests for the current market?
Your vids (short segments) are great. I appreciate your work and time. Thanks Tom.
Other videos erroneously state that SD HC is “up to 4GB max file size” only. Good thing I came across this. Thanks for the accuracy. I read later (just to verify) that SD HC supports up to 32GB max for a single file, which is a relief for me. Cheers. 🙂
Wow! I didn't know you could talk that fast! Amazing.
Actually UHS isnt the same as U3. UHS has UHS-I, UHS-II, and UHS-III (its not on many cards yet tho). UHS-II is a new bus which adds more pins on the sd card to allow faster rates than UHS-I. U3 is the video speed rating, and its not called uhs 3, its called u3.
UHS-II sd cards can do up to 300mbps read and write. and the bus speed is somewhere around 600mbps.
I was about to comment the same. This guy is so wrong and many people don't even realize that.
And about A1 and A2? What it means?
@@DeltadronesBr I have the same question. I see this in many cards
if speed class 10 is equivalent to U1, then why there are cards with written both class 10 and U3, like in this video?

Thanks. The bar graph was the most helpful.
5 yrs later, still helpful, thx
Great Vid, lot of good info. One thing that I would have liked to see is the bus class info, it's an important part of choosing an sd card
Thanks for this video!! Helpen me a lot in deciding which micro sd card to buy for my mobile phone.
Never knew about that with the SD cards. Excellent video Tom!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Much appreciated.
Yes thank you! I can make a better more confident choice now
That was really informative and handy.
About the only thing I wanted to know that you didn't address here was A1 and A2, but that might not have been a thing when you did this video. It's a couple years old now.
But still, thanks a lot for the info!
This will help tremendously with picking a good card to use with my new gopro!
Very interesting channel. It's worth for sub. Good works. Thanks for your sharing. 👍👍👍

Thank you for all the unexplained = EXPLAINED ! 4 stars !
Some micro SD cards have and A2 near the UHC number. what does the A represent?
Thanks Tom
thank you so much for great info. video. very easy to understand. loved it
I use a 32 GB capacity, U3 write speed class V30 write speed video, San Disk Extreme plus, 100 Read speed card.
After about 10 minutes of continuous video recording, I then transfer the SD card to my MacBook Pro. I notice that I will get 2 different video feeds. One will be about 3.2 GB, and another at about 2.0 GB. Why do I get two separate video feeds on my MacBook instead of one continuous video feed, perhaps to about 5 GB?
Because the partition doesnt allow more than 4gb data transfer so it makes 2 files one close to 4gb and other less than 4gb
Thank you !!! 😀
Amazing videos on the micro sd cards all 3 very good work

Great tutorial Tom, thanks. Any chance of updating this info, now that we have micro sd cards of terrabyte size?

enuf makeup on dude?
I felt threatened every time I looked into this mans empty soul.
Excellent info, Tom. I realize your first language is Deutsch, so a minor comment. "Abbrevation" in the video sounds like aggravation to English speakers, rather than the intended abbreviation. We're always learning, except for Trump voters.
abbreviation revZafod.....get it right yourself.
Tom....you're doing a superb job..well done.
Negative then leave the US.
Thank you for this video. A huge help!
