    The 7th prompt made me start crying after realizing how much I've been hiding from others and more importantly myself. Your wholesome and healing videos and energy always lift my spirits, thank you!!

    These are such raw and great prompts. What you said about being your true self really hit me. I find myself fabricating a perfect human being thrpugh my journal sometimes. I have a fear that if something happens to me or someone got their hands on it, i want to be portrayed as i want the outside world to think of me. It's stopping me alot. Could you talk more about how to learn to be authentic and honest in your journal? Some thing I DO want to write.. but I hold myself back in fear of someone fining it. Much love!! X

    Journaling is my passion! No matter what happens, its me a few pens and that blank paper that, I feel the need to fill with what my heart desires, and what my hand is able to write, as fast as I think! And every time I watch your videos I can relate to everything, and your way of talking inspires me! I'm going to start these prompts today!

    I just found you on my recommend and I'm so glad I did! I've been binge watching your videos for the past hour getting inspiration for my own journal I've just started, and I have a few ideas so far; and in a few of your videos I've seen your dog, and I want to say she/he is so beautiful!!

    Whoa....the topic of going to dinner with my truest, most raw self made me go from a judgemental person of myself to wanting to hug "her"/myself for all that I say and think about that's harsh and critical. That literally turned a light on. Wow.....

  • @amyallen4459

    Ugh! I REALLY don't want to do this, but I have been encouraged so much to listen to the truth of my insides instead of what I desire to make myself. Fighting with this so much.

    Hey Tina!! I just wanted to tell you that I found your channel a little over a year ago, and in one of your journaling videos you mentioned the collaging technique that you use before actually starting to write in your journal. As someone who loved journaling and writing, but had never completed a journal or kept up with a regular journaling practice, I decided to try it out. I have since finished 3 whole journals and just started my 4th one!!! Nowadays I can’t imagine my life without journaling, and I have you to thank for helping me stick to it! THANK YOU for helping me discover the magic and beauty of regular journaling and writing! Keep doing what you’re doing, because you’re really inspiring and you have helped me a ton. I’m always looking forward to your videos because your positive energy brightens up my day. Thank you and I’m sending lot’s of positive vibes your way! :)

    Tina, this is amazing. You are amazing. I have never cared much for journaling prompts, but yours are so thought provoking, and they get to ones' core self. I know they will be difficult for me, but what better way for me to discover my true self. Thank you with all my heart for this video. I wrote all the questions down. I shall take a deep breath, let it out and begin with one of them. I cannot praise you enough. I greatly admire you and would love to have just a fraction of your gentle soulfulness. With great fondness, Susan.

    Tina I always get at least one great thing from your videos. One of my favorite prompts that I use when I am feeling stuck is... What are the first three things that come to my mind that will clear me from this feeling? Amazing results when you go within and listen to yourself.

    He tenido una cita conmigo misma, y aunque haya sido escrito, ha sido totalmente real. Y quiero darte las gracias enormemente por lo que estás sacando de mi desde que te descubrí hace 5 dias. Me estás llenando de vitalidad, de positivismo, creatividad y buenas experiencias. En la cita conmigo misma sentí que volaba, me alejaba del suelo. La sensación fue tan fuerte que me paré a respirar y sentí que estaba conectando conmigo misma de una manera que no he conseguido nunca, en la respiración más profunda que he realizado nunca. Mil gracias, un abrazo muy fuerte desde España. Eres genial.

    I've been keeping journals for a long time, and you're the first person on UA-cam that actually writes like I DO. ITS AMAZING. I enjoy watching your videos and i get so much happiness from being able to connect with someone like myself. Keep it up! Also... Question. Do you name your journals? Cause I do! --and I think it helps a lot to imagine you're sending all these letters (entries) to a person (angel, or otherwise) and telling them what your thinking and feeling.. because then you have to go more in depth, so that the "person" understands. I recommend this if you struggle to continue to write. (But remember it's just pretend, that you never have to let anyone see your journal!) Much thanks! Stephanie ❤

    Thank you so much for this video Tina! I would like to share with you something I am going through. I have been journalling on and off ever since I was little. I then stopped for a long while but I have started again for the last couple of months and it feels so effing amazing! I'm sure you know the feeling. Now, thing is. I'm out and about minding my own beeswax doing what I'm supposed to be doing during the day and I feel like journalling all day long. I think of something and I think." Oh! I HAVE to write this is my journal" but then I get home and sit with my journal right before I go to bed and word vomit and empty my head. Poof! It's all gone. I can think of not even a single word to write. And when I am actually able to write OMFG my mind is going bonkers. Oh write this, oh write that. I CAN'T WRITE THAT FAST. Nothing to write or too much to write. It'd be awesome if you could help me out. Sorry about the rant.

    • @OverallAdventures
      @OverallAdventures  7 років тому

      Oooh I can totally relate to this!! Ok, here are a few options that come to my mind.
      1. Can you carry your journal with you throughout the entire day? Sounds like you need to WRITE! If you can't write fast enough, have you tried mind mapping? I think it would work out perfectly for your rapid thoughts!!!
      2. If you can't write at work/school, grab yourself one of those adorable mini notebooks and carry it around with you ALL day (or maybe even use the note section in your phone). As the day goes on, take bullet point notes on things that you want to write about and when you get home you will hopefully be inspired!!
      3. Maybe the evening is not the best time for you to journal? Have you considered trying to journal in the morning or during your lunch break?
      I hope this helps

    • @aichk7786
      @aichk7786 7 років тому

      Overall Adventures Many thanks for replying Tina! I guess the most suitable option for me would be to make small bullet points in my phone throughout the day because I really don't like to have more than one journal going on at the same time. Too scattered and unorganized to me. Thanks for your help Tina! I will be back stalking your channel and asking you for help re watching all of my fave videos made by you. All the love. (I added you on snapchat today) ok bye!

    If my gut were a person...
    I really enjoyed that one. It sparked a lot of thought for me. The gut is one of the truest senses we have, and it's compelling to think about it as a tangible being outside of oneself. What would your gut tell you if it were a person sitting right in front of you? The gut knows every single tinge of guilt, pleasure, and disbelief we have ever experienced. What would it say to us?
    Awesome video Tina! Very thought provoking.

    And I'm back muahahahaha! I would love to see you talk about bonding with your journal and how it gets stronger as you fill up the journal. It slowly gets filled up with little pieces of you and as you go back after a while it's like a part of you no matter how pointless or embarassing it is. Now that I'm a good chunk into my journal I feel safer around it and it feels fantastic. Another little piece of pointless advice I could use from you: I have around 40 pages left in my journal and I kinda don't like it anymore. Should I wait and finish this one and then move on or should I go out and fetch myself a new one?

Made feel awful even though I was being honest....... 10 years later I look back on that day and regret nothing because a true friend of mine took it away from that guy & told him to respect my thoughts & fuck off ^_^💕

    question for anyone! So, this year I've finally maintained a journal and while i dont write everyday or every week, its teh first time in my life that i've got a book where Ive actually got 30 or so entries! can you tell Im proud of that? haha. but lately, I find that whenever I do write, its late at night which is when I'm most sad and im noticing that my last 2-3 months worth of entries are honestly just kinda depresssing and sad. anyone else feel this way? im glad im being honest but sometimes im like, is this making it worse when i continue to wallow in my misery? and sometimes im like will my entries ever be happier? It's not like theres only bad stuff in my life, i just feel like the good is never good enough to be written about because its so mediocre. ive just rambled and i honestly dont know what im asking, but if anyones got any thoughts, feel free to share :)

      Hi lovely! Just saw your comment :) I totally know what you mean. First off - there's NOTHING wrong with being sad in your journal. Maybe there are a few things that you need to work through. That being said - I totally get the wallowing in your blues thing (I struggle with this too!) and perhaps it would be best to try changing up your journaling routine and write in the morning! Another idea is to incorporate gratitude into your daily pages (list 5-10 things that you are grateful for at the end of each entry). And side note - EVERYTHING and anything is good enough to be in your journal!!! Nothing is too boring or too blue or too mediocre! Check out my video on journaling ideas for when life feels boring :) I hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/JHTyGyZ5_0c/v-deo.html

    I am so in love with those prompts!!! I am gonna to write about them tomorrow, I really think good things can come up from that!
    And also, I have a question. I've been journaling for a few years now and I thought I was getting better at the whole 'honesty' thing. However, lately my journals and therapy are bringing a lot of dark stuff and I am hesitant to write about them because there are a few things I don't think I can face. Any tips on how to deal with the emotional part of journaling?
    And do you think it would be worthy to keep a separated journal for the dark stuff? (I do write negative things in my journal but I don't want it to be so dark I'll hate it at some point, you know?)
    Again, thank you for the amazing video, Tina 💕💕💕

      Hi Eduarda! I totally agree with what puddles217 said down below. I think if your gut is to get a separate journal, I would follow that instinct. I guess it depends on your relationship (or your ideal relationship) with the dark stuff. Do you need it to be separate from the rest of your life? Do you need a special place to focus and reflect on it in its raw & realness & scariness? Another thought is to perhaps write them on sheets of paper or letter form so that you can burn them? I always find that to be sooo cathartic and healing! Lastly, how often do you go back and reread your writing? It might be best to make a pact with yourself to not read what you wrote for at least 6 months or so, unless it is directed as part of therapy

      hey!! Thank you both for your responses 💕💕💕 I don't need to reflect about the dark stuff, but the feeling around it is too negative for me. I think I am getting a separate journal, after all (and I also loved the idea of writing letters, I might as well try that) I don't usually go back to read those things but the energy around the journal gets so... Heavy? If that makes sense. And I am too in love with my current journal to abandon it halfway through XD and again... Thank you ♥️

      Yes, that TOTALLY makes sense! Please keep me posted and let me know how it goes!!! I totally feel you on not abandoning a journal you love - I'm almost done with this light blue floral one and it is crushing!!! I'm going to miss it sooo very much!

      I will keep you updated! And your journal looks gorgeous, I feel you. There are some old journals that I still keep close to me because they are so amazing (and I am super proud of them), and I miss them so much ;-;

    Hey Tina, as a male I feel that I am sort of one of few in this community. Sometimes i have trouble relating myself and my journal to others to find inspiration wo write because I'm not a girl. I was just wondering if you had really any advice for the guys about journaling.

      Hey Evan! Thank you SO much for this comment, I sincerely appreciate your perspective and I want to make sure that you feel welcome/included here as much as possible. I wish more guys were into journaling! I will ask one of my guy friends about it and see what his perspective is - do you know Clark Danger on youtube? he does a lot of journaling videos that are targeted towards men. That being said, do you have any specific journal questions for guys? I want to do some research for you and make sure that I can answer your question!
