I know it took a long time to get this one finally done, but I really want to say these have been so great with the vertical cards and animations. It really pulls the focus to where you want it. They look fantastic. Thanks for helping me learn so many games.
That sleight of hand at 1:25-30 (so that the top three cards of the other player’s deck would match) is so good in light of the fact that you’re multitasking and teaching! I love your attention to details like that that make game teaching seamless.

It's okay, we'll be doing full time stamps soon. It usually just takes a day or two to get them up (so many games, so little time :) ). This will help us do it quicker though, so thank you!
Fantastic! My wife and I bought this game because of your video. We played it for the first time today, and it was so helpful to be able to go to the "marked" spots in the video for each card ability. I know these must take tons of work. Thank you a lot for these! They have really gotten us into spending more time together as a couple engaged with each other instead of just staring at technology. XD
"Hello, I am from Québec City Canada and my native language is French. In North America, it's hard to find some games in French. Most of the time, games in French are more expensive than those in English because they usually come from Europe. This make it difficult for me to understand the rules. But since I discovered your UA-cam Channel, boardgaming is sooo fun. You're the best I've found on UA-cam for teaching the basics of games. Listening english is better than reading for me. Your explanations are always clear and precise and you provide great exemples. You speak clearly, not too fast and I greatly appreciate it. Now, when I find a game in French, I go to your UA-cam channel to see if you've made a video about that game." Merci beaucoup! I want to be your friend! Je veux être ton amie! 😁😉🙂
So very nice of you to leave such kind feedback. Greetings back from Prince Edward Island. It meant a lot to know that these videos have been a positive part of your journey into board games, and I hope you get to enjoy playing many more!
I like the 3rd tiebreaker, comparing the 1st round scores. Cause if people are tied in final score and their 3rd round and 2nd round scores also match exactly...well, the first round scores had better be tied as well, lol.. But that's a cute game. Lots of variety.
Rodney - Fantastic job again! The explanations assisted by those animations are terrific. This video definitely must have had more animation than normal - thus all the headaches - but it's so well done. Kudos!
We really like this game when we want to relax, because it's not to thinky, but it is challenging and it's different every time. You can play so many different strategies, and the different card and resource abilities add a ton of possibility, too.
I agree with Kyle, your videos are amazing Rodney. This one is certainly no exception. I agree I love the new animation, very effective. please keep up the great work. Nobody does it better than you!
@@WatchItPlayed I have one question about using resources to get mor dice. Let’s say I had double 4s and I used resources to get another 4. Does that new dice automatically get to be played on my 3rd realm that has not been activated yet? Also, if I use it on Charterstone. Do I just cross off the top building and the bottom part can be filled in any time later. So I have an extra 4 that I just “created” due to y doubles. I cross off the 4-value building but I can’t write anything below it because I don’t have another dice. Can I simply put a dice rolled on a different roll in that crate?
@@Ian-R-Wilz To your first question: correct. (the exception is here, cause then you can use the 3rd die in one of your previously used realms: ua-cam.com/video/Wsk4bPy-VWg/v-deo.html) If you use it in Charterstone, you would still use "another" die value to mark in the bottom. Hope that helps.
As this is the 3rd iteration I’ve seen, I’m curious to know what changes were made from the previous uploads (I originally thought it was embargo-related). Thanks for going the extra mile Rodney to make sure your videos are error free!
Rodney said there was at least a scoring error in the first iteration (on twitter, when I called him out for possible witchcraft with that deck shuffling lol)
There's been a few little ones, and I don't recall all of them now. A couple were clarifications more than corrections, there were some animations that needing adjusting too. My Little Scythe had an error in how the scoring was described.
13:08 (Scythe) in your video. If I understand correctly if I use the dice number 3 I don't need to use a second dice number 2 ? I only have to pay a coin to collect the star ?
Right, you can mark off a bottom row directly (without marking off the row above), as long as you pay whatever is required for that particular value on the bottom. ua-cam.com/video/Wsk4bPy-VWg/v-deo.html
Awesome video as always, congrats to the whole staff of Watch it played. I have mixed feelings about the theme of the game, at the same time I think this "Stonemaier" expanded universe was a great idea, and that's actually what brought me into it, I can't help feeling the game asks for a theme of its own. So dunno what would be better. Looks great anyways and kudos to Jamey for designing this game with the whole social distancing context in mind to help people have a little fun.
question rodney, in charterstone, if i spent resources to gain an imaginary die (ex. using 2 coins to get a 2-face die), what 'other rolled die' number would i then write in the crate? would i get to choose any one of the rolled dice??
Rodney, I hate to break it to you but there is another mistake. During the explanation of the between two castles realm you…im just kidding. Everything looks great!
I swear to you, my soul left my body as I started to read this comment. BRUTAL! You get a pass because you found the last remaining error in that last video ;)
Thanks for the video, I always appreciate the effort that goes into them. And this looks like a really neat game as well For the Tapestry card, can a shape extend partly outside the bounds of the grid, as is permissible in actual Tapestry?
This game looks very cool, very meta. Will be playing for sure. I wonder why they opted for decimal pointing instead of making stars on realms worth 10 and leftover resources worth 1
You write the dice roll on the scorecard. The dice are manipulated by your resources which you cross off as you use them. There is no place to document that you used a certain resource to create a new dice, or use the coins, hearts or pumpkins to produce an effect.
@@TheMillShow Okay, thank you! I guess I was just wondering what you would put so others see you aren’t unintentionally cheated. But having the numbers be the actual dice roll allows you to track from where your mitigation began.
Nice shuffling illusion….at first I was like how the heck did he pull the same three cards off the green pile after shuffling the blue? Then I watched it again.
The game comes with 1 score card that has space to record 3 full 18-hole games. Since neither the multiplayer mode or the minigolf course have any player interaction, you definitely could sit down to all play minigolf together. The only thing I'd note there is if you don't complete the hole objective, you play the hole again, so you could find yourself in a situation where 2 players clear the hole, but the 3rd player doesn't. It doesn't work like normal golf where you just record strokes until you complete the hole. Although if you attempt the hole 3 times, and fail the third time, you do just move on to the next hole. Some are definitely trickier than others.
I know it took a long time to get this one finally done, but I really want to say these have been so great with the vertical cards and animations. It really pulls the focus to where you want it. They look fantastic. Thanks for helping me learn so many games.
Thank you so much for the kind feedback Kyle, really glad you enjoyed the presentation!

I love the little "magic trick" with the cards at the beginning!
