  • In the late 60s and early 70s, Japanese mini trucks were a hot item for young adults. Ford Motor Company (FoMoCo) couldn't design their own quick enough to grab some of that market, so they imported, re-badged, and sold Mazda B series trucks for the first time in America. Re-badging was rare back in these days, but successful projects like these led to it becoming more and more common.
Ford got an idea for their future mini truck, the ranger. Mazda got a warm introduction to the US market. A win-win situation.
Today, the Ford Courier has become a forgotten icon in American car history, but I think it is a fantastic truck. You simply can't buy a more compact truck than this in America, and I don't think another like this will ever be made.
I have BIG plans for this truck to bring it back, and beyond, its original glory. By the end, this truck will be true American Icon, like if Ford had been able to pull off such a feat themselves in 72.
