I know this is kind of off topic to the video and that you're planning on retiring from modding, but one thing I'd love to see in Riibalanced is some sort of visual indicator of a character's attributes kind of like how Pokémon natures have the blue for a - stat and pink for a + stat
@@campbellblock3061 This is true but memorizing what characters have what bonuses is tedious, having an indicator for what bonuses a character has would make things more streamlined
@@Cobalon There’s not really any useful steps between what the stat bar shows and just looking up the real stats on my stat sheet because anything would either entirely obsolete the bar or be just not as informative as the real numbers
i like the idea of a vehicle which doesent win by driving perfectly, but by bumbing every one else off the course lol (a lil bit weird that the heaviest combo isnt bowser with a kart, but im fine with that)

I've had people a couple years ago insult me, and I've been kicked from a couple servers even because I said a balanced version of the game would be better imo than what it is now where there's a handful of picks that are good and everything else isn't.
One minor thing about this mod that I don’t like is how bland the placement indicator is. I get that it is meant to be simple and effective but I do miss the bright gold 1st.
Was messing around with my sister over LAN where she used wario on the wario bike (the heaviest combination possible) , and I used the lightest combination possible, We would drive at each other from opposite directions and ram into each other It was... Interesting, to say the least
The video host had invincibility and gotten hit by two slow moving red shells and held on to the same invincibility and got hit again by a power block and skipper shell. That is insane, however he still won the race against the ai.
Been watching these kart-specific videos and have been enjoying watching them so far, although, do you think maybe you could cover the Super Blooper? Looking at the stats page, it seems like a worse version of the Daytripper but I feel like I'm wrong due to how this modpack has been balanced so far. I've never heard it brought up on this channel nor have I ever seen it mentioned in the Discord, so super curious on its usefulness.
I don't understand why the blooper is so big, ok players can drive all those tracks eyes closed but that leaves less space of the player's skills and more for luck... It increases frustration (not being able to see or dodge); for a speed that is already really high.

What if you get bumped while you are doing a wheelie by a ligther vehicle, lets say half your weight, your wheelie doesnt stop, or it only slows it a few kmh? Btw great work man!
I haven't had a physical wii in years, and I just recently learned that you need to have a wii nand to play online on emulator. I get that it's to prevent repeat offences from cheaters, but... It kinda stings. Where can I find instructions on running my own lobbies (for friends to play with me) using Riibalanced?
I have a question, I play riibalance on Dolphin and sometimes on my wii but is there anyway to add custom track distributions to the riibalanced on dolphin emulator. Im trying to play Mario kart Z with riibalanced.
i’m not sure if you can do this, but for the riibalanced mod could you change how the battle mode works? i used to love battle mode but looking back it is very flawed. If there could be a way to make it an ffa just like DS it would revitalize the battle mode community, especially with the buffs to the standard kart and standard bike.
A vehicle with a weight stat of 1 getting bumped by a vehicle with a weight stat of 2 would have the exact same effect as a vehicle with a weight stat of 2 getting bumped by a vehicle with a weight stat of 4, because 1 divided by 2 equals 2 divided by 4.
Hi Arc! I'm having trouble downloading Riibalanced. I got a SD card and followed all steps but every time I go to put in wii, the letter bomb doesn't appear. What am I doing wrong?
Why don't you bring back the old style of drifting (the one used in all the mario kart's before wii) for the karts and you keep the bikes how they are? This is just a suggestion for the drifting you would of course have to go in and tweek the stats of the kart's and bike's to make it fair. If you can't do that im sure you could find a way to do something like make the kart's mini turbo's charge faster and other stuff like that. I know this would take a while to implement and you said you would like to move to mario strikers but this might be a worth while thing to look into.
Before you retire modding please make it so the thunder cloud gives you the same effect of getting hit with a shell rather than shrinking you since the item is just unfun otherwise
Thanks for the videos and I am more than admiring your work! But I have to admit your video format is a little bit too confusing for me to stay focused during the whole video. I wish there would be more straightforward videos about your cars and bikes stats.

That already exists in the vanilla game. The stat bars display approximate character vehicle stats

Inside drifting and outside drifting should be combined into a on the fly switch.

I dont remember if this was covered in the video on it, but have you experimented with drift starts being over 90°, or in the negative degrees?
Rewatched that vid, and I wouldnt mind a kart having a negative DSD as its stat.
There were a couple vehicles with very low or negative drift angles in v3 but they were removed
yes, they spin in circles, or for negative they turn into mario kart 8 hybrid drift.

Make sure there is No letterbomb folder on your SD. if there is, move the "private" folder and "boot.elf" file to the root.
