@@peterstedman6140 beams. Once you are in beams firing range, you're almost 100% done for, and there are plenty of ways for beam ships to get in range, as map design leaves a lot of options for ambushes and sneak attacks, and additionally, AN sensors are better than OSP ones. It's just my opinion of course, but I have really hard time trying to counter beam ships.
@@dmitrykuzmin5229 Beams are strong yeah, but so are all the other short range weapons (rockets, plasma, torps, 100mm, instastage hybrids, mines) if you don't scout them out. If you find yourself dying to beams a lot, I'd recommend bringing more tugs with early warning radars or ships with huntress radars. Also, don't hug rocks where you don't know what's on the other side. Beam ships are either big targets, very short ranged and easy to spot (capital beams), or very fragile (keystone beams). It can be tricky, but those are weaknesses that you can take advantage of.
Great stuff as always, been watching your stuff for a year or so but hadn't really had the time to get into the game so far. Are there any beginners tips you could think of?
What would you suggest to be a good starter build/fleet for beam DDs and beams in general? Edit: I checked the video description and there’s a Patreon discord?
I'd say the starter fleet beam dd is good, I forget what the name of it is however. Patreon and discord is for the Nebulous discord and patreon of mazer, lead dev.
Everyone get in here new screamer video
edit. You didn't BSHRT the ocellos! A beamstone with a green beam is a sad beamstone.
They should really make beams explode as soon as you hit the BSHRT button.
Damn thing is nearly unbalanced as it is.
@@dmitrykuzmin5229 What is unbalanced?

@@screamer5779 ah I see. Also, why does the EWar Corv only have one blanket? Is that enough to hide DDs?
@@Cooldude-ko7ps depend on ships radar signature. Bigger ship need more blanker. One blanket for DDs is enough.
