Ewhurst Green is a fictional BR(S) 4mm=1' scale model railway which has its basis on several planned (but never built) railway schemes in Surrey (from Dorking) that may have served the villages of Ewhurst and Ewhurst Green (as a junction for Cranleigh and Guildford) on its route down through Midhurst to conceivable join the railway from Brighton along the coast of Southern England near to Havant, thence onto Portsmouth and Southampton.
Thank you to Signalman Luke for his much-appreciated support in enabling this video to be made, including a small sample of his large collection of Southern Railway stock.

A lovely array of locos and coaches Cole. I loved the shot at 2:10, a great angle for seeing everything.

Dan, thank you - the Southern Railway stock is all from a friends collection and makes a superb change from my BR(S) stock. It is a nice angle and once the goods yard to the left is completed will get even more interesting - the baseboard will measure up to 5' wide! - Colin

      Philip, Thank You!
I'd taken a break from UA-cam to concentrate on some more historical coaching-set research on www.BloodandCustard.com, but also more Downside scenery.

Oh very nice. I love your trackwork, it really does look so well done. Also, we got to see more of the layout, woohoo! A great watch as always, all the best Dave.

      Dave, Thank you!
Trackwork is SMP /Marcway laid to a correct sixfoot (46mm centres). I've previously avoided videos of the sections under construction and (after taking a UA-cam break) have completed the Down platform - need to start on the Up (groan).

@@ewhurstgreen Yep that sure does look realistic. I did a few section with 46mm track centres on my layout, but don't have enough straight sections to do it justice.

Most of Ewhurst Green is on a large sweeping curve through the station (which makes for interesting platform construction).
50mm centres are used on the non-scenic sections including the storage loops (Peco code 75).
