Vernon & Sandy Wilhelm already owned their dream car, the 1967 Pittsburgh Steelers themed Fastback Mustang. We met them in McAllen, TX a few years ago, and after we drooled over their MCA gold award winning work of art at a few shows, we became friends and they learned of our work. They decided to have us build them a tribute out of a 2006 Mustang GT. Now they have a new version of their dream car, with all the modern features and reliability.
Mustangs On A Mission was held on August 22-23rd and we were proud to be a Trophy Level Sponsor. The event raised $11,000 over 2 days for Cruise For A Cause. This video was part of our segment for the event, which also included a live Q&A with Mustang Marie.

2006 waistline is so much higher than '67 that you can't replicate it without looking like odd shit. Especially rear quarters are horrible! Front and rear looks are quite decent. Not nearly worth the amount of work tho IMO.
I wasn't going to say anything until you asked.. But this looks absolutely horrible.
The 67 Fastback works because ALL of the proportions work well to create it. It's art.
This is a hodgepodge of old and new and the proportions DO NOT work well together.
Honestly it looks just wrong, and ugly.

Wow buddy that mustang looks awesome
I think the biggest issue is the roofline. It's too slick on the front top. Maybe adding a windshield visor? I don't know, I do understand modifying that part of the car would have opened up a whole new can of worms, but overall still a great build.
Also if I was the customer I would have asked for a rear body kit to offset the high tail.

Amazing craftsmenship! 2006 still looks 10x worse than the Real Deal but 100x better than the yellow one they started from.
Would this something like this be possible with a 2005 and how much would it run someone to get it done?
