most Galio support don't protect ADC, they always R into the fight and leave ADC 1-1 enemy Assassin. plus in laning phase we have so many choice of support tank that better than Galio.

@@cameronroberts4296 1) Galio support always fail to engage and take too much damage after missing E unlike Leona and Nuatilus who missing engage skill but don't bring them to danger. 2) His Q damage is good but easy to dodge. 3) His R is very good if player have good communication and don't leave ADC alone with 2-3 enemies or 1-1 with assassin. *I never found any Galio support use his R to protect ADC except use it as teleport back to the lane. --- In my opinion (as ADC), If I want support tank I prefer Nautilus, Leona, Rell or at worst Mao'kai because at least my support still protect me or disrupt enemy assassin, and even I need tank that can poke I still prefer Poppy not Galio. I think Galio better go TOP or MID.

If you press R on adc to "protect" them from assassin they are already dead before you land...you E and W the people attacking adc and it peels very well. His R is to join objectives or skirmishes where mid and JG need help. I'm sorry the galio you played with are bad but it's not the champs fault. Engaging Galio is best using aftershock and hexflash from bush, taunting with W then following up with E for extra control and a chonky AA and Q if you are trying to engage. Otherwise let jungler engage and follow up with R. A peeling galio should take glacial augment and stand near their adc with knight's vow. From support point of view, Nautilus and thresh #1 draft picks, I'm not liking leona or rell atm. Always start strong with them and feel weak halfway through game. Just making a case for the gargoyle though cuz it's really more about team composition with him than anything else. Also a jinx or jhin partner who has CC lets you E for free. I wouldn't play galio with a vayne or draven like I would other engage tanks. Also worst case scenario, galio can pivot and build AP and carry a game if needed where as no way leona gonna carry a game alone.

Bc is a pain in the ass to deal with her (untargetable) and due to her boring ass gameplay she is either op or trash, you have to do absolutely nothing and let the adc do their thing, its just a permanent buff you cant kill unless you kill your enemy, 0 counterplay and it's just boring to watch and play, shouldn't exist.
