More tutorials to come!
I had watched pretty much every Turks head knot video on the Internet twice and was still as confused as ever. I watched your video a couple of times and I had it! Thank you so much for the only "understandable" Turks head knot video!
Finally someone that explained it well enough and went slow enough that I could actually follow along and successfully tie this knot, thank you.
One of the best if not the best turks head tutorial that I've seen. Like many I did not pick it up that quickly so I got the idea to keep pausing and making screen prints of every step and in the end it totalled 27 pictures on 14 pages. I printed the pages off and put it in my braiding / knot tying folder as a quick reference. Now the 5x4 and 7x6 turks head comes easily to me. From one Roger to another, thanks for your help.
This is the Knot from Hell! I wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats. If I don't get this soon I'm going to give up and focus on how to make the hang mans noose.
I wished I had found you sooner. I have been watching videos on how to tie a turks head knot for 6 months. I watched yours once and it clicked. The explanation and video were both great. Count me as new and loyal subscriber.
I looked high and low to find out how to do I finally got it thank you!!!
Thank you for this video, Roger. I think if I watch enough videos on tying TH knots, I will finally get it. Of course it does help that I'm also tying the knots... Thank you for that extra part, too.
Hey I am very impressed with your two videos. Very very good. Thanks for doing them and explaining so well
Very easy to understand instructions. Thank you very much for posting.
Great Explanation. Cleared up a lot of questions. Thank you
Thanks for an excellent tutorial presentation! I follow it step by step and it came out well beyond my expectations. But I over tighten it on a wooden cane and couldn't pin thru the last cord underneath to finish the turk's head for a perfect job. What a bumberrrr!!
Excellent turkshead video, brought it home for me. Especially on expanding a knot. Another good series is by Knottactical.
Thanks for this video, it was clear and easy to follow!
Both your videos are excellent!
After a month of watching tubes the bulb finally comes on-thanks!
excellent video - really helped me get a "mental grip" on raising a Turk's Head
Everything is good to see and easy to follow.
Great tutorial, thanks!!
I subscribed! I am a whipmaker and your tutorials for the turks head and 7x6 pineapple knot are the best on the web!
I was having a very hard time till I watched these! And I watched about a dozen others before I gave these a chance.
Might I suggest doing some with flat paracord in attractive colors like a heel knot to draw more attention from all the other normal tutorials.
yep I fell the same way
Thanks I finally did it.
Very nice tutorial.
Awesome and thanks
Well done, thank you
Can you supply written instructions for this?
you can also get the needles at hobby lobby and michaels :)
One thing you can do instead of using a needle is soak the end of the cord with cyanurate/super glue however far down you want and it will become stiff, maybe a little sand paper will help it pass smoothly through your knot.
How can i raise it up more. Do i use the same technique when your created the 7x6?
How to tie a spanish ring knot
When u raise it once from the 5x4 u get the 6x7... If u raise it once more u get a ?
When you raise it from the 5L 4B you get a 7L 6B and then a 9L 8B... and so on. Adding 2L and 2B each time.
what is the needle used
It’s a Tandy jumbo lacing needle, sometimes called a Perma-Lok fid. You can find them on Amazo..
Why sometimes do you go over 2 under 1 and other times go over 1 under 1
Generally when you go over 2 under 1, over 2 under 1 is when you are creating a bight to extend the Turks head, for example to go from 5x4 to 7x6. The other under 1, over 1 also creates a bight but it balances the Turks head with the correct number of overs and unders. A few years ago the Turks head was a mystery to me but I watched this video many, many times until I learned how to tie the 5X4 and 7X6 Turks head, now it’s easy.
The background is so shaky I can’t watch
Confusing......
man try to focus next time
The entire video is out of focus! When that happens you should remake the video - not just upload the out of focus junk.
