Most likely the mrf 186 transistor is damaged. I had such an amplifier and it also gave out 30 watts. When I removed the transistor, it turned out that one arm did not work for it. You only need to change to the original. Now I have a micro PA50 50 W 3.5 MHz-28.5 MHz with a screen and with all protections and I am very pleased with it.
It will be *really hard* to damage the MRF186. It's rated 120W and can handle reflected power higher than this amplifier gives out. I guess very high temperature is what can kill this transistor in this amplifier. However, replacement transistor is quite affordable. And yes, this is a dual MOSFET transistor, so it can partially be damaged. And also when handling the transistor it's very sensitive for static discharges. Mine gives out 38 - 45W on all bands, with 5W input and 13.8V power.
Yes I do the same, 4cell lipo, As the output transistor is a 24/28V item, also is a 900 MHz so if you mod the filters you could use it on 6m, +, Good luck Dave 2E0DMB
Hello my friend I probably saw you activate the park today but I didn't manage to catch you. Did you have that MX- P50M amp today? I purchased the Xiegu-X6100 and am struggling without an amplifier for now. Thanks for the great material Regards Mariusz SQ2ODE
I am using this cable: www.ebay.com/itm/175792120455. I did make my own, but it was very much a bodged together deal, so I ended up buying a proper cable.

30 watts is actually within what I expected though.

Power output depends from voltage. With 15V I'm getting little more. With 4 cells Lion battery even more. But prepare some additional cooling fan.
I will need to look into that.

Thanks for commenting! I was using the amp today, I usually use it when I have just a short time for an activation, as today.
How did you get it working with the x6100? I've tried it on mine and it reboots the radio when transmitting!
I bought a PTT-cable from eBay. It does need to be a 3.5mm TRRS cable and not a TRS though.
Hi, just wondered what cable you are using between your 6100 and the MX50. I have one of the amps and a 6100 and would like to hook them up.
