55 and still haven’t found what I’m looking for ??? Don’t know if I’ll find it. Listening to this gospel song (that’s what it is) makes everyday a better DAY !!!
U2 THEY ARE LOOKING FOR THOSE KIND OF MUSIC THAT ARISES US TO THE SKY WHERE THE SAINT TOWN WATING FOR THE LORD . HAVE YOU EVER THINK SO. GOOD BLESS YOU. AND SO LONG.
I have run I have crawled I have scaled these ...border walls...I STILL havnt found what I'm looking for...😂😂Oh yeah U2 you start my days and bring up the sun👏✌🌞here in my little corner piece of the world💖💜💖😊
You can not ever compare the 2 tours....... we all know the amazing one. And anyone that says that 2017 tour was just out of this world etc is just rageing that they weren't at the 87 tour!!!! I was at both by the way... this is the bushwacker.😀 Sydney 97 if anybody remembers!!!!!!!!
Bono wanted to do his best in the Joshua Tree album with very high notes on his vocals. He must have known he would never be able to sing those songs again. Note that this one of the video executed only a year later already had the tone lowered.
Live, U2 always played a half step down from standard tuning their entire career. Bono went on to sing with a falsetto on "The Fly" on Achtung Baby as well as on "Numb" and "Lemon" from Zooropa, "Can't Help Falling in Love" from the last leg of the Zoo TV tour.
MIke Caldwell I’ve only heard him play on the Unforgettable Fire documentary (he strummed an acoustic for a few seconds), on live versions of “Stay” in 1993 on the ZOOTV Tour when he played the intro chords to the song on his Gibson ES-175 and and the live debut of “Staring At The Sun” during the Popmart Tour in Las Vegas (as a matter of fact, he was playing too slow that he threw off Larry. They had to stop the song and discuss it amongst themselves for a minute. When Bono started playing again, you could tell he was playing much faster and then they got the song right). All that being said, I concur...he isn’t much of a player and I sometimes think he used the guitar as a prop. I heard them play “The Fly” live at a concert in 2005 and he was using his green Gretsch Irish Falcon. I could not hear his guitar at all. He plays the harmonica decently enough though!
I was there!! 14 year old me. changed my life
Oh my God, Bono the best look and the powerful voice, very very best band U2, unforgettable 80's, thanks for sharing
Will forever miss this era of U2 ,at their very best .
At their best here. Amazing
Probably one of the best albums and most important. Was beautiful and simple. Most folks don’t make music like this anymore.
U2 - Joshua Tree 1987: The best year and the best voice ever!
His voice was way stronger in 1986(COH Tour).
1987 Joshua Tree your was their best tour. Straight from the heart

Wow it’s cool to slow down the video and listen to the Edge’s guitar riff. You can hear the notes bouncing around in the delay. Beautiful

I suppose the version of this song with the gospel choir was pretty unique, but this version couldve easily been in the film.
Afuckinmen jazz
5:50 firing on all cylinders
That's what i miss about Bono these days!
The mystery: why we never listen the Bono's guitar?? ahahaha
That's why it's an outtake. Mix is shit
Because he can't play and if you actually heard him playing you would know he can't play

He played outro of Kite from Boston 2001 alone :)
It's funny I don't know what it is about that song but I love it
