Und was mir immer wieder auffällt: Jede Lock klingt anders. Diese schöne Fahrt kommt zu meine Favoriten.
Another terrific video and a huge "Thank You" to The other Andrea as well. I totally enjoyed this trip. (I enjoy them all actually). Keep safe and healthy.
Ah that's one of my favourite Zürich S-bahn lines, a very pretty route. Amusing that with just one change at Wetzikon, you can go from Pfäffikon to Pfäffikon.
Thank you for an absolutely superb video. I am British, and two (very different) things impressed me. Firstly the train was the 17 04 from Zurich Hbf, and judging by the crowds of passengers waiting on the platforms peak hour loadings around Zurich are getting back to pre-covid levels. Not so in Britain! Secondly there, were the large number of connecting buses waiting at both Pfaffikon(Zh) and Wetzikon. Buses timed to connect with trains are very rare in Britain.
Thanks for sharing those points. I guess we should appreciate those connection more in Switzerland. All forms of public transport are coordinated with each other to achieve an efficient way of travelling. Yes, it's a bit of any oxymoron here. While eating in restaurants with plexiglass dividers and other measures wasn't allowed, cramming into trains was perfectly ok.
Something of a request for the future. Add a height profile of the route with the map. It is not easy, despite the added gradient info, gauging how far up or down we are going. It is a bit disconcerting coming face to face with Admittedly it was a train length away.
2:46 Amazing! This video's time and mine (United States Eastern Daylight) were almost in sync for the evening rush hour trip. A nice way to kick off this otherwise somber and reflective 20th Anniversary weekend. Thank you, "the other Andrea", and you as well, lorirocks. 13:40 Frankly, the purpose behind that expensive-looking flyover escapes me. Don't understand why it couldn't just run into the junction at grade.
The junction has a flyover to eliminate conflicts between opposing moves. The Swiss railways have much denser traffic than lines in the US; even the Northeast Corridor or the LIRR doesn't come close to how busy Swiss railways are.
This is part of a very busy commuter network (at least before the single track split off at Effretikon). The airport line which joins at the flyover runs commuter, intercity and international trains. And, yes, the Swiss railways seem to be in love with flyovers, these days.
🚆❤️🚶👍✋Extra Good job🤝 👌 Wow. Great view, I love to see new places 👍❤️ Great movie 👍 Bravo 👋 And I have a new movie from a walk around the city 😊 Yours sincerely, DJ Janusz from Warsaw Poland 🇵🇱✋
Amazing sound, thank you for wiring it that way! Just wondering how long these 1st generation sets will still be around and also, is there a special switch to allow certain doors to stay closed at Effretikon on a 300-metre train? Obviously that ramp at the end of the platform is newer than the original station and leaves no safe room for a platform edge. Thanks again \m/
It’s the noise from the electrical equipment on the train, which a lot of people do like to hear. If the sounds disturb you, turn down the volume on your device.

Who knew electric motors could sound quite so good ??
Thank you other Andrea for the ride along 👍😁
Thank you lorirocks777 for uploading this! I was looking for this exact railway line and (what a coincidence!) you just uploaded it ;-) cheers
😄 So funny. See you on the rails! 🙂
Great video, no lack of speed, wonderful scenery, thank you.
Great view!!!
All the best from 🇵🇰
I didn't understand the reason behind switching the track from left to right 13:38
It's because we're turning right after the next station
@@lorirocks777 thx...

Love your channel. What photo gear do you use?
Thanks. Mainly a GoPro 8 for convenience, in the past Rx 100 Mk I & Lumix Fz 1000, GoPro 7.
Why does the train make that extremely annoying screeching noise when starting up and slowing down?
It’s the noise from the electrical equipment on the train, which a lot of people do like to hear. If the sounds disturb you, turn down the volume on your device.
