Carnage got some massive plot armor when the anti carnage symbiotes swarmed him. There’s no way he should’ve been able to handle every weakness he had in 1 place with no buffs. We will see where the story goes tho. Not 1 problem with him taking knull out tho. He had more tools to defeat knull than Eddie brock did.

He was kept alive because his story was great but lets be real here he shoudn't have been able to survive all the anti venoms swarming him and he wouldn't even be able to touch knull even if he had all the buffs no way he could penatrate knulls armor like that or even his skin.

My take on death of Venomverse is like this.. The stakes feel out of control high... but they have to because Eddie as a King in Black is actually an immensely powerful being.. Like he might not have the Enigma force now.. But I think with control over the symbionts... he might be way more powerful... Like any codex that carnage has might be something that if carnage tries to jack into Eddies have with... becomes something Eddie can maybe take from Carnage...
But Carnage might know that since he killed his own King in Black and become a King in Black from another universe... and in theory know that he did that.. He is just as powerful as Eddie... we are about to see a real knock down drag out fight, here these two baddies have to meet each other.. And we don't know what acts as the tiebreaker here..
Maybe its Dylan.. Maybe he can pull the codex's from Carnage back to Eddie, making Carnage a King in black but a king of none? Carnage killing Dylan at the end could be the important detail that gets him.. Like maybe, he needs Dylan.. But any time he brings Dylan into his hive, it would show Dylan what he did... Like once you go there... every Dylan in the multiverse inherently knows you don't go working for carnage? Maybe that is how Eddie wins this.. With the love of his son Dylan?
It's definitely gonna be crazy! I also believe that Dylan is the key.. between his unique abilities with the Necrosword and the whole thing about Carnage doing this alone is probably going to be what destroys him... because unlike Venom, Carnage has no "We are Carnage" for him it's only "I am" and I'm almost certain that's going to be a problem at some point
@@dopespillcomics and to say nothing of how Cletus fits into Carnage's plans or he simply does not fit and became a 3rd party for hire.. We might actually see the good guys forced to work with Cleatus because the enemy of my enemy makes for another interesting twist in the story... The path might be clear, how it ends? (not really.. ) but all those twists and turns along the way are going to snap a lot of necks..

So maybe it's just me but does the ending of this mini series plus the Web of Carnage issue that follows make it feel like all this is gonna get effectively sidelined and/or not actually play into the next Carnage run or the future Venom issues? Like... they set up a handful of Venoms in Extreme Venomverse that never appear in Death of Venomverse (Madame Venom is genuinely a new favorite and I really expected her to have a Madame Web kind of role in the event) and at the end of it Carnage is just kinda back in 616 doing Carnage things and the various alternate earth Venoms are either dead, not seen, or thrown back to their worlds? Kinda makes the whole event feel hollow even though I really did love every issue. Marvel editorial is yanking Carnage around like they do Spidey.
This feels like Thanos in the averages movie each stone he took him stronger and help solve a problem in the next fight

Corrupted Eddie's hive versus Dylan & his symbiote comrades is about to emerge. Will Carnage be involved in the midst of the anticipated battle?
I already know the internet is going to snatch up my thought and claim they came up with this first but considering what they are doing with Liz Allan, Carnage, Venom, and the rest, they are showing Liz’s journey to becoming the Queen in Red. She’s basically going through the same type of journey Eddie did but since they are trying to catch up, it’s more of a speed run version of that journey. So by this time next year Liz will likely have fought and taken Carnage’s power while struggling to maintain her sanity and Normie fighting and possibly getting snatched up in carnage’s cult stuff. Madness is essentially Misery’s version of hybrid and they will make him an antihero and have him sacrifice himself near the end. He’s already shown he’s not evil.
I admit, I'm playing catch-up on king in black, but I don't see how Liz looses her sanity. The Misery symbiote hasn't had any adverse effects on her psyche. If anything, it saved her soul from despair.
The thing abt captain universe is that those powers work only in that universe, so he has power of knull, asgard dwarf tech, hydroman, spot, electro, hellmark,knull, silver surfer, ruin stone venom and maybe antivenom?
Now cant wait for eddy to break him.

If Eddie brock gets back to the garden assimilates his counterparts into himself. (Meridius, 2 bedlams, the other 3 versions of himself that don’t matter.) if he can do that he may stand a chance. Maybe Eddie can possess and OP hero like Franklin Richards or something but ya as you said as he currently is depicted he should have no chance against carnage.

@csab8642 You see, I thought of that, but I feel they won't go that route, just because Carnage has one and stacked on top of it. Something universal will happen for sure, but it won't be a go-to comic idea, I feel.
@Benreilly2122 You might have to hold off on Franklin. This comic book writers have been on point with keeping consistent with current story lines. Franklin hasn't really come up since we found out his dad was turning his powers off. Also, if Benjamin Percy has anything to do with Venom, Franklin isn't even in the standings, and the mutants are preoccupied. Eddie's son is OP he might be the key.

I'm gonna be honest, taking a non main timeline knull shouldn't put him on par with Eddie given he had the main one. Not to mention, Knull didnt have a weakness to fire or sonics either so i feel that no matter what the powers Eddie is gonna get by going through his final form will be something to see

From a writing perspective it makes no sense that carnage lost his boosted powers and somehow in a weakened state killed more venoms when they had an advantage.
Marvel editorial has to parallel Marvel media with its storylines which is why everything revolves around the multiverse. Loki has been rebranded since the show, the X Men are only interested in omega level mutants to the point that it's become meaningless because everyone can warp reality it seems. After King in Black Marvel seems to be writing itself into a corner when it comes to power scaling. It's like everyone is going through an identity crisis.

@@PaulSmith-nb6md That's not necessarily true in a lot of characters in comic are stronger because of their emotions. The will to live is one of the strongest emotions, especially if that involves trying to kill your enemies.

It’s stupid how they treat Knull. It’s the exact same thing they do to Galactus. Knull is more powerful than he and they both get beaten by characters that they should be able to nuke no problem. Knull is the origin of all symbiotes. He is the origin of their powers and you telling me the creation beat the creator ? That’s cap. But they always make above sky father characters cannon folder for street level characters
Stories like this bore me to no end, power that took a hero or a god years to get and master the villain does over the weekend and just like Thanos or dark side it's just the same M.O. different day.

I'm probably in the minority here but I really hope when this is over Carnage gets a massive nerf. it's getting a little ridiculous. This use to be a villain Spider-Man could go toe to toe with. I still appreciate you covering the story. Just Carnage is less interesting being basically a god.
