It's very difficult to listen to Mr. Stein and not want a Heuer chronograph in the collection. I'm most fortunate to have had the opportunity to view this video, thanks to both Ben and Jeff.
I'm new to collecting but not a young guy. I started off and was all over the place, but I found I kept on going back to Timex. I love how they are now making automatics and mechanical now, but I also love their Quartz. They make watches for the every day guy and I just love how they look. I know many horological guys don't think they are special, but I hope to one day own as many Timex watches as Jeff owns Tags. Wear what you love and enjoy the hobby. I'm doing just that.
I found this very educational. I started my interest in watches with TAG Heuer 30 years ago and find myself coming back to them. The Autavia is quickly becoming an itch for me. Great episode. Keep up the great work!
great job as usual ! i cant get enough talking watches. the more I learn about watches I go back and read Watch the episodes and it seems entirely new to me being more educated
It was a great pleasure to exchange my Heuer Autavia Chronomatic with my dear friend Jeff. I was happy with my Heuer Bundeswehr, which I just recovered Cheers from Brazil Douglas Gravina
Jeff is such a great guy. Love this episode. Love seeing Tag-Heuer really lean on the great heritage and equity that the Heuer name has. Much better than the 00s mall watch vibes. Hopefully they continue on a decent trajectory.
Does anybody remember in which episode of talking watches they discussed the vintage steel daytonas with, if I remember correctly, like a pretty colourful dial or indicator?
how can he be unemployed and a janitor? If he was a janitor wouldn't he be employed? Not defending him in anyway but...thats a paradox you got going there.
Damn that was good. Great video, too bad we only get two a year....the brand gets a pretty bad rep these days, If anyone should be doing reissues/ re additions it should be Tag heuer. All of these pieces I would wear proudly!
Just pulled the trigger on a quartz Heuer Professional Quartz 200m. All of $250. I grew up ski racing, watching Franz Klammer winning the '76 winter Olympics. Timed by Heuer electronic quartz timing. Why the hell are these so cheap???? Still ski racing and coaching BTW. Where was Rolex at the Olympics? Dubai?
Hi Jeff I am in a pickle over 2 watches I have just acquired from a friends wife I need to ask you about the right direction I should take, 1 Heuer Monaco 7732 (2) Autavia GMT Cal 724 Applied luminous Red Hour Markers "T" above swiss Flat V Pepsi Ring. Has Formula 1 Race Background ,,, how can I contact you PS also have several Heuer Stop Watches from same source with F1 background.
The best watches ever produced, my favorites models was from the 60s and 70s, Autavia, Carrera, monza, monaco, 1153, 1553...Amazing design, finish and movement from this era, regarding that it wasn't cao, dao and cnc...
This collection reminds me of band camp. Every instrument could play a good tune but only some could play a really great tune. Oh Yeahhh Who's ready for some coolade?
got a 1000 but pre tag 36mm 1984 blk / blk , wears big for 36mm. thick case , great tool watch look, model 980.013, love it would never sell, if you buy wait for a heuer - resid. value will go up , tag signed models never really do
Yes . . . I own three of the TAG Heuer Carreras, with the Cal 1887 movement, and they are fantastic . . . all running within three seconds per day accuracy.
He's definitely the life of any party. Even Ben was bored. Jeff:"To see whether that V was pointed was just one of the highlights of yesterday." Ben:" Sure...." and quickly switches topic. ROFL!
Just watched this for the first time, I am quite perplexed at how Benjamin Clymer subtlety dismissed the collector when he was describing the Kenyan Airforce Tag Heuar issue. A bit disconcerting and hope that is not the attitude you espouse in your takes??...

Nice to see a focused collection like this that isn't just Rolex and Patek. We need more talking watches episodes...
Never clicked on a video so quick! Nothing like a new Hodinkee video and a Talking Watches video at that :D

Thanks to Mr. Jeff Stein, i was asking something about my Heuerer Carerra Cal.12 and he wrote me back, a very nice person
I have great respect for this man who has taken such love for Heuer Autavias and many other watches.

"And sometimes you just stand there in the morning and say, you know, I just want a badass watch". What an awesome line.

@16:28 my favorite watch in this collection. Imagine if they actually manufactured the same color scheme as new.
I'm glad to hear that he wears his collection - I was struck by his bare wrist.
Fantastic! I am now interested i Heuers and will go check out his web sitr to educate myself
Oh...! This is what I call a Great watch collection...
Great video, fantastic collection, love his passion and knowledge!
You need a dedicated weekly video for taking watches. So many out there who do this pass-time. Thank you for uploading another one.
What a watch collecting class! Thanks for sharing it
More of an obsession rather than a collection. Gotta appreciate the love he has for the brand though...
I'm a sucker for Heuer Dash Timers.
Awesome collection and true scholarship. Not just another rich guy with some Daytonas and Subs
It could be I was overwhelmed by the numerous watches on display, but I did not get inspired by this one sadly..
Another great video.
5:02 "He lovez them watchez mo' than me 😫"
Damn that was good. Great video, too bad we only get two a year....the brand gets a pretty bad rep these days, If anyone should be doing reissues/ re additions it should be Tag heuer. All of these pieces I would wear proudly!
Jason Sawatsky it seems your wish has been granted. While a little pricey, the Autavia reissue that came out this year is beautiful!
excellent interview!
Nice collection, but I wonder what the yearly service cost is?
Much better than any other rollie collectors
sweet video great collection

He said that the community makes this hobby so great and It's true. It would be boring collecting only for yourself.
Nice Seiko there, too!
I rather think its a 6309
I can't find it.. where is it.
Wow wow such dedication well done.
No Ref 12?
Here in BRAZIL 🇧🇷, we are deeply into Heur's ;) , especially after Senna's death. And I'm still looking forward to get my perfect Monaco!
Saw this with crown and caliber a year ago. Still good I guess.
The best watches ever produced, my favorites models was from the 60s and 70s, Autavia, Carrera, monza, monaco, 1153, 1553...Amazing design, finish and movement from this era, regarding that it wasn't cao, dao and cnc...
Well done. Thank you.
I have a "badass" Aquaracer too! I wear it almost every day.
Great video. Thank you.
This collection reminds me of band camp. Every instrument could play a good tune but only some could play a really great tune. Oh Yeahhh Who's ready for some coolade?
People forget how amazing HEUER was
Great video! What do you think about tag heaur 1000 professional series?
got a 1000 but pre tag 36mm 1984 blk / blk , wears big for 36mm. thick case , great tool watch look, model 980.013, love it would never sell, if you buy wait for a heuer - resid. value will go up , tag signed models never really do

Hodinkee... do one with a "Seiko collector".
I wonder if he owns the Tag Huer the one that was infamous for having Seiko parts? Lol glad it's his collection and not mine great vid
Yes . . . I own three of the TAG Heuer Carreras, with the Cal 1887 movement, and they are fantastic . . . all running within three seconds per day accuracy.
I was hoping more Bund's. My very favorite Heuer. Oh well.

Greetings.
This is absolutely beauty collection. ;)
Single brand, and not one of those posh names. Now, that is devotion !
If this man is married, his wife is truly the best wife ever!
That white on white Carrera is impeccable 😍😍😍
A true watch collector.
He didn’t mentioned Seiko
Jeff Stein is my hero
Gotta love talking watches
Nowhere enough Monaco action.
This guy knows his Heuers.
very cool video, and that aqua racer really is "bad ass".
He's definitely the life of any party. Even Ben was bored.
Jeff:"To see whether that V was pointed was just one of the highlights of yesterday."
