Tyson would have killed this guy a few years earlier. If you notice he had no head movement like years past plus he had gained weight. I think he only stayed in the game for a paycheck , he just didn’t care anymore.
Tyson was a career high 239 for this fight. Over 15 lbs heavier than when he fought Savarese and he looked very good in that fight. He looked slow and listless against Neilson and I knew he'd get demolished against Lewis. However Ronnie Shields took over as trainer and promised everyone that he'd get Tyson away from the distractions and get his weight down in the low 220's. I agree with everything you said but that was not a 'soft' 235 against lewis, had a sixpack afterall. Here you could say soft against nielsen but not lewis he was in shape, 218 against holyfield was his best shape

Watching this fight being the very previous fight before the Lennox Lewis title fight you could see Tyson has no chance in the Lewis fight just the fact that this guy Nielsen no disrespect at all to him he took most of Tyson's hardest shots and it took a lot for Mike to finally finish him and for that kind of caliber of fighter to take Tyson's hardest shot hey go to the show Tyson just didn't have that explosiveness and his blows anymore and definitely was not going to knock out Lewis if this guy was taking shots like he did
