I hope it never, ever happens but if you were forced to cast a SCREAM Remake using modern 2023 actors, who would you cast as Billy Loomis, Stu Macher, Deputy Dewey and Randy? We ask that question of ourself and cast our very own SCREAM Remake and we were miserable for every second of it. It's so hard to replace a Skeet Ulrich or a Matthew Lillard as Stu or a David Arquette. We'll do our best but want to know who you would cast in a Scream Remake while we all wait on some Scream VII updates! I have no casting ideas, just wanted to say I spit out my drink laughing when Mike said I’ll throw a pencil at your head (At the Scream TV kids) lol
Evan Peters would be great in a Scream movie. I think he would be a great Stu. As for Randy, maybe Tom Holland.
My brain did a full-on 180 mid sentence. I was like "you shouldn't do a scream remake unless you..." Then what I said next convinced me it was actually a great idea. You can't do a scream remake and have it be a who done it though. If You remake scream you should retell the story from Billy and Stu's perspective. Emphasize their thought process, MO, and motives flesh that out throughout the whole story. No one's going to do a better Scream one so you have to do something different that makes it it's own thing. Focus on the relationship between the movies and the situation have it focus less on trying to guess who did it. Give Randy more to do. Lastly I think if I was going to cast it I'd probably go for unknown 19 to 25 year olds
Thats a hell of an idea. They should do it to tie in with 7. My idea for 7 is reveal Angelina as Romans partner. Stu has been hiding thanks his parents who kept him financially going since 96. Thats why he stayed hidden cause he scared of his parents. They are dead hes back. Kill Angelina halfway through. Then Stus partner is Sam. He continued driving her mad especially not getting a new doctor. Its his girlfriend basically. But the kicker is Sam mental illness is similar to Norman Bates. She literally believes shes Billy like Norman did mother. This brings it full circle. Billy references Norman Bates after revealing himself to Sydney. Which Stu not only would have heard but just picture his reaction to Sydney when Sam speaks as if shes Billy. Maybe even have glimpses of Sam psychologically fighting it off like Jesse/Freddy just give an idea but ultimately shes too far gone. And as strong as Sydney is. I think this is only thing left to really freak her out and really momentarily freeze her and freak her out. Seeing Sam speak as Billy and her and Stu stabbing one another would mirror one and really shock the hell out of Sid. I REALLY THINK THIS WOULD WRAP IT ALL UP and become full circle. But they may think its too dark having Sam be like that.
Also with your idea i think show Maureen's death. Your idea going into scream 7 would be a hell of a tv series especially if 7 went the way I said but I doubt it would. I just think with crap hollywood does today with the superstar strong female characters they wouldn't

Miles Teller as Dewey would be fantastic but he would have to ham it up a bit. Will Poulter would be a good Randy in my opinion. Anyways, thanks for the video.

Picturing Jimmy Tatro in the final scene saying some of the lines like the Sharon Stone one or "Ya hit me with the phone DICK!" actually fits surprisingly well in my mind for some reason. Wtf lol

Jimmy tatro actually got started doin skits on UA-cam, dudes got a very unique style to his comedy and I could honestly see it as an alternate universe Stu, plus bein a short and stocky compared to lengthy and skinny is a perfect flip, respect 😭

Maybe they could set this Scream remake in a Community College that's that age were you're out of highschool but not quite yet an adult " Adult" which could explain why some of them look a little older. Because they're in their late teens early twenties.

After all the hype i finally got to see scream 6 . What a teeny bop movie. In my opinion of course. To my surprise Halloween Ends blew it out of the water . Again in my opinion. But made me appreciate David Gordon Green and Danny Mcbrides vision and understand why they went the way they went . Doin something different for the franchise
There are 2 that made my brain shortwire in a "I get the grown ass adult concept but I draw the line at 37 year old John Frances Daley and 44 year old James Ransone" type of way. It's... somewhere past even my suspension of disbelief threshold. However, I'll throw my hat into the ring with Joe Keery for Stu.

@WeWatchedAMovie I dunno. Have you seen Spree? I thought he was really unsettling and unhinged in a comedic way. Plus, I feel like the "kids bop" vibe you're picturing would be more in the way the movie would be made (if it were for Netflix or serialized for the CW).

Freddie Highmore is an interesting choice. Maybe it’s his stuff on Bates Motel. I feel he has some comedic timing, and could definitely also be an interesting Red Herring Smoked Fish type of guy. And he forever looks like a teen.
The rest of the faux cast are interesting picks, definitely a lot of well rounded actors I’d say!
Love your choices for Stu but only critique would be that John Francis Daly looks identical to Ethan from 6 to me. I can see people getting confused. Otherwise everything is dead on.

I'd go with Michael Cera for Randy (though I f*cking love Evan Peters). Dewey is tough for me. Miles Teller is pretty good for sure, but I'm kinda leaning towards Andrew Garfield or maybe Joe Keery from Stranger Things, lol. Can't wait to see what your female pics are!

I’d pick Felix Mallard for Billy. I don’t know much of the actor, but he seems to play bay boy roles, so I could see him as like the misunderstood bay boy Sidney dates and others think it’s a bad match, to later have him be the guy who killed her mom. Also the fact he’s smaller I think would make him less obvious, but he’d be a way stronger in the zone. He also has that Billy look.
I'd pay Taylor Swift ticket prices to see Evan Peters play Stu, Billy and Randy in the same movie. Talk about entertaining.

I think I would want a different vibe from a reboot. I am not sure I really would want any connection to the original other than Ghostface. A clean slate, new names, new faces, new timeline and different formula. Obviously, something closer to Scream 5 but without legacy characters. I am not sure you could even call it Scream.

Not to dump on your choices and it's hard because I don't find many actors under 30 to be that interesting but your pick for Billy, that dude is already 32 years old. I get it, none of the cast in the original outside of maybe Drew looked like teens but Skeet and Matt were 26. The dude from Waiting is almost 40. Like you said, this should never happen but if you're paying me millions of dollars to cast the movie, I'm going to hire mostly unknown actors that are 18 to about 27 at the very most. I could see Miles as Dewey, a guy in his mid-30s but he could still pull off the mid-20s young cop thing.
With Matthew Lillard being in the new five nights of freddy does that mean hes too busy to do scream7 or does that mean hes back in the game?

So I'm autistic and one of my hobbies I'm very passionate about is I recast my favorite movies for fun lol. I think this stuff is a blast even if it's unpopular since I know a lot of actors and I personally find it entertaining to reimagine for today.
