RE: rideshare apps. I was in Ubud in November of 2019 and both Bluebird and Grab, and probably GoJek if it's there, were banned inside the village and around it, leaving one at the mercy of the local taxi touts.

So where did you 2 stay in Bali? Was it in Denpasar? And what was the link to the places you stayed at in Bali for accommodations? I knew Bali was gorgeous...but now you have me putting it on my bucket list...after I visit Hawaii (again for the last time?), Israel and Spain. Uber is gone from Indonesia as of a few weeks ago. The local government in Bali has officially "banned" Grab and Gojek (the other ridesharing apps) due to pressure from some local transport business owners but in reality they still sort of operate.
Loved this video!! Thanks so much for sharing more of the foods you eat! =D I'm so excited to visit Bali in a few years! $7 for a massage and I'll literally be there every day!
haha yup! and I am sure you could find a cheaper place! Bali is just soo cheap!

Try get out there as soon as possible! IT's changing soo much! When we were there 2 years ago you coudn't walk around the Ubud rice terraces...now there is a full tourism swing set up!

Yeah absolutely, I can't deny that Indonesia is so beautiful. I lived in Kupang City, (West) Timor Island, East Nusa Tenggara. Very close with Australia. Come over here and I will show you around in this city, there is so many interesting here.
Unfortunately Indonesians have been banned from Israel indefinitely.
but why a few things...
1. The ban has been cancelled.
2. Each year almost 100 thousand Indonesians visit Israel anually.

Be suuuper careful of using uber! I was in Canggu last Nov and we kept trying to use it, the drivers would accept the fare and then not move and keep telling us they had car issues and we needed to cancel. You then get charged a cancellation fee! Happened multiple times... I also booked a fare to the airport which was supposed to be 80,000rp and he demanded 300,000rp on top in cash... :/ If there hadn't been a window in the vocanic reuption, a hastily rescheduled flight and NO drivers on the streets so early in the morning I wouldn;t have taken it but I was d-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-e.
Oh wow! Well Uber isn't actually available in Bali anymore. Thankfully we had amazingly friendly Grab drivers during our entire visit! We were so worried we would have volcano issues during our trip!

We just make sure you go to very highly reviewed places because that means they wash their fruits and veggies with filtered water :) Luckily we have never been sick visiting Bali!
