Ready! First time NaNoWriMo Thank you so much for your preptober planner. Since this is my first time I don't know if I'm a pantser or a planner. We will find out but I am thankful for your insights and resources. Day one word count for the day complete.
This is really helpful! Sarra, I recommend keeping the Diaries videos as simple as possible. I'd be super happy with a 5-minute uncut chat every day. They don't have to be 20-minute fancy edited videos!
I agree! I was going to do nano diary vlogs last year but got so wrapped up in the idea of editing them that I never even posted day 1! This year I’m committed to doing quick ones without lots of editing. I’d love to watch just a short chat update!
Thank you for everything you put together to help us reach our goals. I found you last year and used your videos to help me prep for my first NaNoWriMo. I am excited to do this again!
My recipe for low carb Tiramisu: I use skyr (Islandic thick yogurt) with liquid sweetener & vanilla extract for the layers between the ladyfingers which I only dip in coffee a bit at the bottom. I top it with low carb chocolate powder.
So ready. It’s the first time I’ve filled out and prepped and it’s so helpful. Thank you so much for all your time, videos, content you share. It’s made all the difference. Please, keep it as simple as possible for you and your family. Your mental health is so important. Please, don’t get burnt out.💗💗💗
Thank you. I'm attempting NaNo for the first time this year - although I don't expect to reach 50k but if I can get my writing mojo back it'll be classed as a success. Thanks for the advice on food prep. My breakfast is very similar to yours - frozen cherries defrosted in the microwave and 0% Greek yogurt. I used to add 30g of oats but tend to skip that these days. I think I'll prepare a pot of chilli as it is a favourite in my house. I use cauliflower rice but hubby has microwave rice, I'll make a larger portion so we can have some the next day on jacket potatoes! One of my 'lazy' meals that has served me well over the years is buying a ready cooked chicken, nice fresh bread and tomatoes and making chicken sandwiches. Great cos people can help themselves! I will also buy a ready prepped spatchcock chicken to serve with baby potatoes and steamed veg, that should be easy enough. Thanks for the inspiration.
we do a lot of meal planning in general - and we love curries (lentil, sweet potato) and chili as freezer meals. You cook once and have 3 dinners for the whole family easily. Love this video!
I really loved this video on meal prep. I think it's an awesome idea to have your meal ideas ready for when your writing and especially when doing NaNo. Also you could use this Meal Prep all year. Which is awesome. I usually just try to think of supper like the night before or last minute.Thank you Sarra for sharing ❤ 😊 👍
LOVE this! Thank you Sarra. This was one of the first pages I filled out. I love meal planning, it saves a TON of time and money, but it takes me FOREVER to cook my meals. So I used those pages to "plot" out what I'd eat, paying extra attention to what I can buy frozen or in boxes/cans (soups). So I planned those out and week one was a HUGE time saver. Will DEF keep this idea in mind year round. Thanks Sarra :)
Hey Sarra! I’ve been watching through your “How to Plot your Novel” series (so amazing!) and I noticed you never mention popular favourite “Save The Cat.” What are your thoughts on that book?
Good morning, Sarra. I love the meal plan addition to the notebook this year! I looked up the oatmeal rounds and am printing the recipe for baking tomorrow. I've been refrencing your Preptober book and including links to all of my Preptober videos so folks can come check out your channel for more inspiration and guidance. Here's to a GREAT Nano! Hugs & Blessings!
The breakfast rounds sound yummy - I found a recipe for them that uses carrots, which I always seem to have too many of in my weekly organic veg box, so yay! Off to plan my meals now...
I should add that a salad recipe sounds weird, lol, since it's kind of a list of stuff you put into it. Here, for example is MY standard salad - baby spinach, cucumber, tomato, marinated artichoke hearts, chickpeas (aka garbanzos), bit of iceberg lettuce if I happen to have it for extra crunch, home made balsamic vinaigrette. Finely minced green onion if I happen to have it. Feta cheese if I happen to have it. :)
hey, I like to eat the same all month too, pre and probiotic shake for brekkie and salad for lunch then what ever low carb for dinner, usually buy meat for a weak
Thank you Sarra! Love this organization. It’ll take away so much of the stress that comes with Nanowrimo. I’m still not totally prepped yet but getting there. 🙂
You should have a link in your original welcome email or the first Preptober email from October that has a link to download it! It's in the main resource library. If you don't see it, email me sarra@heartbreathings.com and I'll send it to you.
I actually came to say the same thing! I love Sarra's content, and I don't know that everyone knows about how harmful that company's fundraising for conversion therapy and other anti-LGBTQ+ groups has really been. Had a whole convo with someone fundraising to stop bullying while sipping some Chic-fil-a lemonade and he says he had no idea (I choose to believe him so maybe it's not as widely known as I thought??) Anyone interested can look into their corporate fundraising or just google will bring up the numbers as well. :)
@@jenpendragon5566 IMO, if someone doesn’t know by now, it tells me they’re not paying attention. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t know what trash chick fil a is. Them and hobby lobby are two of the worst. What I do know are a lot of people who want a chicken sandwich more than they care about supporting other people.
@@marybeougher2953 totally understand your POV. I argue with my siblings, who should know better, all the time, but I can't expect everyone to have the same knowledge as me. Gotta believe the best of people and hope they're willing to listen when we take the time to explain, but I know how tiring and frustrating that can get.
Final Preptober 2021 video! NaNoWriMo Diaries starts on Monday!!!! Who's ready?

This was super interesting! I don't think I've ever seen NaNo advice like this before, so ingenious! I hope y'all are doing well being nomads!

I'm not one for meal planning, and this gave me so many ideas! Thanks Sarra!
Oh, I needed this, Sarra! Thank you.
I'd love to see a recipe for "My Salad"! I love salads for lunch!

Why support Chick-fil-A?
What’s wrong with Chick-Fil-A?
@@ghostyplans they are very anti-lgbtq+. They give money to anti organizations.
