Hi, I Love my 2006 R1200GS. I’m a Disabled Veteran and my Back is completely Messed up. The GS is the only Bike I can Ride and not hurt. I can’t afford a newer one on Disability, but this one does Great. You will really enjoy this Bike. New Subscriber and look forward to more Videos when you get your Plates and can Ride it.
Thanks! Unfortunately a deer knocked me off the GS and it ended up getting totaled as a result, so it only ended up in this video and the one showing how I added the Touratech pegs.
Thanks. It was certainly clean back then, unfortunately it got totalled after an accident involving a deer in autumn last year. It certainly had been looked after, but it was showing some of what I consider the typical BMW finish issues that you get in damp climates where they also put salt on the roads.
I guess they could've, but my experience with this vintage BMW compared to older ones suggests that the finish quality isn't that great either. I think the "correct" way to protect it, especially if the previous owners rode in winter also, would be to douse it in ACF50.

I have a 2006 GSA and am completely happy with it!
They are great bikes, and frankly if it wasn't for the deer that knocked me off this GSA I would probably still have it.
Your bike is clean. You did very well.

Great bike
Thanks!
Thank you.
Someone spent a lot of cash on fairly unnecessary extras, pity they never bothered to Clean it properly.
