  • Hola amigos,
Today we go back to sunny Spain! This video is dedicated to my special friend Jesus Ortega Delgado.
A engine,I never hear or seen before...as most of you I think also...
A lot nice engines were build in Spain in the past. Thanks to my good amigos Jesus and Jose and there friends, I could ad some beautyful engines to my collection.. Muchas gracias amigos..
ZOM and Parres and BYRA are a few names..but Spain build far more..The cal the ZOM lovely " Olieta"..as the have the best of the Oliver and the ETA diesels...
This very unusual engine, a bit similar to the WEBRA Mach 1, and to this ,it have a bit t he same back ground as the German Zeiss Jena Pionier...made in the edjucation work shop to edjucade young men the fine art of machining precission parts.
Its not exact known,in which year this was done, but I asume in the lyears +/- 1956 -59 ...a further hint is the fact, that the engine is based on the wel known Webra Mach1.so there for it could not be at the end of the genuine Elizalde company... (1951)
The liner has same stroke and boreas the Mach1 , but also like the Byra, Jena or Schlosser 2.5 ,the six transfer flutes!...so born to deliver some serious power...and it does.. I guess the run was about 12,000 ?? When the engine is full run in, and with the right race fuel and smal prop,it wil for sure break the 16K bariere...
In this place a heads down for Jesus, who did most of the work on his smal lathe and mill... and show us a VERY rare Spanish vintage model engine ....mucho bueno amigo!!
I hope you like my "Time traveling " arround the world in to vintage model engine land..
Thanks for watching to al of you out there!!
    ...and keep the props spinning!!!!
