In addition, there was Eeli Tolvanen, Marko Anttila, Christian Ehrhoff, Rasmus Dahlin, Brian Gionta... not superstars, but at least something. Russia lost the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, also without NHL players. So it was not so easy to win as it seems.

Using my husbands handle, but this man IS amazing and a great guy. Was always well respect by team mates and opponents. He has always been one of my favorite players. My son watches videos to learn how to handle the puck better. Hopefully Datsyuk will continue to play, I dont know another player of his age still putting up an average of a pt per game.

This hits me right in the feels as a Wings fan. One of the best players to ever lace up the skates, a 3 time Selke trophy winner, 2 time Stanley Cup champion, 4 time all star, and an Olympic gold medal winner. Detroit misses you Magic Man, you deserve to be on the list of the 100 greatest NHL players, and it's only a matter pf time before you find yourself in the hockey hall of fame. Also if I had any say in the matter, no Red Wing should ever wear the number 13 again

I love this player, one of my all time favorites and he still performs very well today at the age of 40! His instinct and intelligence for the game is on another level. He is both an athlete and a chess player. Sometimes he sees the moves and opportunities ages before his opponents. It's like he can predict the future. SKA St. Petersburg has a sick team. Great contrast of experienced and young upcoming players. I'm hoping to see them play a NHL team in the near future. I don't think a NHL team would win so easily.

Serveral other less important trophies were also missed.
While focusing on Datsyuk stats/accomplishments is good and all, it should be noted what certain things he was known for. Example stick-handling, defensive play, shootout/breakaways etc. It would give a more complete picture of the player.

Hey man I really like your videos BUT... Every time you start a video both GRRRREATINGS like you did in this one or whenever you kinda scream "THERE WAS A LOCKOUTTT" I litteraly want to turn the videos off it annoys me so much.... Maybe I'm the only one, but for me your videos are relaxing and these kind of things ruin the mood imo.

Don't get me wrong, I liked him and he was pretty flashy and was very good, but for some reason the numbers just aren't there, especially come playoff time
