My birth place Nagercoil Meenakshi puram born in1952. We had our ancestral home near Nagraj temple in the south car Brahmins street.After death of my parents the house being more than100years was sold after partition among my brothers.,we belong to middle income groups worked outside Nagercoil in other states for our livelihood.onky my elder brother at 75 years of age is after leaving Mumbai settled there in a very small portion.All are sr.citizens settled in other states. Nagaraja temple is very powerful cured somany skin leprocy patients. Last time l visited was in 2019 to perform rituals shradha of my mother who lived there for 40 years. Now the Brahmins have left or dead from Nagercoil adjoining Brahmin areas ,only very few wealthy stay there and most of the agraharams are purchased by business circles of other communities. Hope they may preserve the dignity of the temple.

Good, it was a Jain temple upto 16 st century. A venadu king donated land to this Jain temple as per the inscription in this temple.still you can see Jain's sculptures in all pillars bottoms at the arthamandabam.
