This song is so heavy live. And Su's cleaner/less processed vocals are amazing live. I like the MV too. Yeah, their songs have been less cutesy, especially on the new album. But they are still adorable, especially on this US tour. I don't think Moa even knows how to not be cute. They are having fun on stage and have loosened up a little. They have even taken a couple photos out of costume now. Since BM is basically nonexistent on social media, getting some official photos of them in normal clothes like we have this week is kind of a big deal for BM fans.

According to the lyrics "BxMxC" stands for BABYMETAL Metal Cypher but, since it isn't official, I prefer Bring Moa Chicken. 😁 They way they perform it is really badass. Nothing kawaii there, so to speak. And that's probably one of the reasons why this is one of Su's favorite songs to perform live. 🤘🦊

This was never on their international release of Metal Galaxy as was a Japanese exclusive. Which later was an obvious miscalculation here as was one of the best tracks on the album. Babymetal has since course corrected as BxMxC is now part of their US tour setlist! Su-Metal live performance of this only proves she was born for this!! 🤘🦊🔥
Absolutely loved this live. Went to LTL last night and saw them again. But it's just not the same outdoors in the daylight. Shorter set as well. Falling in Reverse was fun af, but Sleep Token was winner of the day imo.

This song was from their 3rd album, Metal Galaxy, and that album did a lot of experimental fusion with different genres and cultures. You have songs like Brand New Day (collab w/ Polyphia), Oh Majinai (w/ Joakim of Sabaton), Shanti Shanti Shanti (Indian), and Night Night Burn (“Salsa” metal lol). They are “getting away” from the cutesiness of younger days, but they still carry that torch, just in a more mature way (e.g, newest song Metali). The most recent album, the Other One is full on concept Album, and there is almost no “Kawaii” elements in it.

The official video is a great video, but naturally it has the studio audio and that was not so well liked by quite a lot of the fans ... too many effects, auto-tune etc on Su's vocals and some people even thought they could and would not play it live. Happily they were proved very wrong - and Su kills this live (as you heard) without all those effects those fans didn't like. It hits really hard live - they played it throughout the European tour in 2020 and took the roof off every venue when they got to this song ... and they are doing the same in the US on the current tour I believe. I have 'borrowed' this information (again) - "They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind." In my opinion, I think "BxMxC" was a great example of BABYMETAL being able to explore new ground without losing the kawaii - this song and video are just plain fun! And I think that is what makes BABYMETAL BABYMETAL: the ability to break new ground while, at the same time, making metal fun. Unfortunately, I believe they lost that on their last album but got back into the swing of things with their latest single "Metali!!" I sincerely hope that they don't misplace their kawaii again! Darker? Are you overlooking songs like "BABYMETAL Death", "Karate", and "Sis. Anger"? I don't think they're getting darker, they're just looking into other dark corners. KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
they're definitely maturing physically so that has to transfer to their music as well. they can't evolve if they just continue playing doki doki morning and catch me if you can etc., otherwise they will become stagnant and people will lose interest. songs like monochrome and metali are also moving them in a more adult direction. don't get me wrong, they're still cute as all get out,but in a more grown up way.
This album they did each song in a different country style. Rap for this. There was a spanish song a german one i think it was. Or Holland then one im not sure what they were going for but im from the Caribbean and it sounded like soca from Trinidad papaya
Hii! There is an incredible Korean artist called DAWN that just posted a new music video and he deserves way more attention, so if you could give it a shot it would be amazing. It’s really really good! The video itself and the music it’s all so creative and pretty. This year he came out with an EP and till now he already made 3 music videos for 3 of the songs. They’re all so creative, different from each other and very heartfelt as well!

Everyone always hears every song as the studio version first. Sometimes they have to wait a long time for a great live version. Maybe they can't afford the blu rays or whatever. But facts are that if this was a shitty song, no amount of live vocals could ever save it. Since it is a great song already, a live version can only add to the great studio version. That doesn't discount the studio version imo. The vocals are obviously affected at places, but it's not like she doesn't sound like herself or that it's the entire song. Rondo has that little part where she sounds like a music box lullaby or what you call it. Just don't see the reason to get all bent out of shape, when a reactor reacts to a song for the first time as all of us fans did. If they like it they can automatically go search for a kick ass live version. It's not like they have made a grave mistake or something

"They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview.
SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget!
MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall?
SU-METAL: Uh…what was it…
KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow?
SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind."
BxMxC (the x's are punctuation of course) probably stands for "BABYMETAL Cypher". However,
I'm still going with "Bring Moa Chicken".
Also from an interview a little while ago the first question was:
Q1: "How’re you feeling now?"
Moa: "Hungry! I need fried chickens."

In my opinion, I think "BxMxC" was a great example of BABYMETAL being able to explore new ground without losing the kawaii - this song and video are just plain fun! And I think that is what makes BABYMETAL BABYMETAL: the ability to break new ground while, at the same time, making metal fun. Unfortunately, I believe they lost that on their last album but got back into the swing of things with their latest single "Metali!!" I sincerely hope that they don't misplace their kawaii again!
Darker? Are you overlooking songs like "BABYMETAL Death", "Karate", and "Sis. Anger"? I don't think they're getting darker, they're just looking into other dark corners.

they're definitely maturing physically so that has to transfer to their music as well. they can't evolve if they just continue playing doki doki morning and catch me if you can etc., otherwise they will become stagnant and people will lose interest. songs like monochrome and metali are also moving them in a more adult direction. don't get me wrong, they're still cute as all get out,but in a more grown up way.

This album they did each song in a different country style. Rap for this. There was a spanish song a german one i think it was. Or Holland then one im not sure what they were going for but im from the Caribbean and it sounded like soca from Trinidad papaya

Hii! There is an incredible Korean artist called DAWN that just posted a new music video and he deserves way more attention, so if you could give it a shot it would be amazing. It’s really really good! The video itself and the music it’s all so creative and pretty. This year he came out with an EP and till now he already made 3 music videos for 3 of the songs. They’re all so creative, different from each other and very heartfelt as well!

Hmmmm. Not so much. In my opinion. Too much auto tune. Suzuka LIVE is always the way to go.
Everyone always hears every song as the studio version first. Sometimes they have to wait a long time for a great live version. Maybe they can't afford the blu rays or whatever. But facts are that if this was a shitty song, no amount of live vocals could ever save it. Since it is a great song already, a live version can only add to the great studio version. That doesn't discount the studio version imo. The vocals are obviously affected at places, but it's not like she doesn't sound like herself or that it's the entire song. Rondo has that little part where she sounds like a music box lullaby or what you call it.
Just don't see the reason to get all bent out of shape, when a reactor reacts to a song for the first time as all of us fans did. If they like it they can automatically go search for a kick ass live version. It's not like they have made a grave mistake or something
BxMxC is a great song and having heard it live I can confirm, it is so much better live (like most, if not all, Babymetal songs). Talking about unique…have you reacted to “From Dusk Till Dawn” yet? 🤘🦊🔥
