zohaf Hi they have hybrid boat check into solar electric yachts UA-cam you should find what your looking for if not the boat of choice ask they contractor to add solar and electric motor so you can choose gas or electric drive. If you have an disel engine you can put veggie oil in tank if gas isn't available. Enjoy

One could do the math, if they were so inclined, to determine how many solar panels it would take to equal the power of burning 680 lph of diesel. Im just gonna go ahead and guess it would be a surface area measured in acres. Sailing is truly the green alternative. Hybrid sail/solar seems a promising path to being even more stingy with fuel. Solar only propulsion is going to be deathly slow even with the boat coated in panels.

Paul Hutton -Yea that's got to bethe most annoying aspect of owning a boat like this one; Having to fork out thousands for fuel every time you take a trip. I bet the boat makes up for it though and surely fuel suppliers for the higher capacity vessels such as this have some kind of incentive after a certain dollar amount spent on fuel, or at least you'd think they would, right?
who cares, if you can afford a boat like that, the fuel consumption is irrelevant....the crew an running costs pr year is 500.000 euroes....fuel ha ha ha

Soooo, depending on how fast you run it, easily between $350 to $650 an hour for gas to run this boat. Yes, you better be a multimillionaire to own!
