Thank you so much for this video. I have microlocs (self-installed). I palm roll to retwist as well. My Retwist lasts a little over a month. I only use water and castor oil and I tie it down with a satin scarf every night. It’s super moisturized and it’s rare that I even spray it with water. I’m six months in the game and I LOVE it! I Retwist every 6-8 weeks. I’m trying to extend it to 12 weeks.

I definitely agreed with you about loving the "frizzy stage" and just embracing your hair. I started palm rolling and it takes up way less time.
Yes! I have been trying to find more women who maintain their microlocs by retwisting. I installed and maintained my first set of locs, they were on the smaller side but not micro. I palm rolled them and never interlocked. What other UA-camrs did you find that maintained their microlocs with palm rolling?

Beautiful locs. I’m still contemplating doing my hair as my boys both have locs and I am the one doing the research and twisting them. I also palm roll theirs as I took over after their loctician became overwhelmed with clients. I’m still learning theirs while maintaining them. I think they are lovely. One day I will be ready to commit. ☺️

I appreciate your sharing this Enlightening video... I thought I was the only one who decided to maintain my locs via retwist... I come across interlocking (even after two strand installing) posts and videos and I was close to going back to traditional locs but I am glad I am holding fast to my microlocs decision and your video just helped me further. Palm roll is the healthiest method for dreads, locks and micro - locks. It's an old method, but it's better for the hair.
i see alot of people who palm roll get thinning, i haven't seen that with interlocking.
