Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 сер 2024
- In today's video I will demo Evoto.AI, an AI based retouching tool that is targeted towards commercial, wedding, portrait and headshot photographers who need to edit batches of photos at a time.
I'll show you how I used the software to quickly remove blemishes, wrinkles and dark circles. Plus I used Evaoto.Ai to clean up and swap backgrounds, apply skin smoothing, and dodge and burn.

Thank you so much John! I always learn a lot from your videos, very informative and helpful tutorial! God bless you and good luck!
Thanks Nate! I hope you had a great weekend.
@@JohnGress Thank you so much John! It was fine! You're great man!
I truly enjoyed your presentation! Because it’s AI, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Your presentation, for me, was clear what this software can do. I’m also interpreting that AI is an additional tool that fits nicely into the post-processing part of what we all love to do.
Progression, I can only imagine that without it and innovations we’d still be Daguerreotyping, lol!
Ha! Thst is a great way to look at it. We have to evolve and harness the power of technology to work for us and thank you.
Thanks for John's video, what we always want to do is to use AI to help photographers improve efficiency, not to replace it. There are lots of tools that have added AI to help, I believe it can help you do your work better
Your software is definitely going to help people speed up their workflow.
somehow I did it incorrect with the link it just said that the link didn't work so I just got the basic 5 free credits instead of the 40 you mentioned John. However im exited to give it a try. Really makes me feel like im living in the future :) Cool Video as always

@@EvotoAI cool it worked, thanks :)
Wow this video had me sold until he told me the pricing. No you guys need to come up with better pricing than that, I want to just flat out by the program not pay per image. So it's a big no for me I'll stick with Lightroom. It's a shame though this could have actually replaced Lightroom. 👎
well all this Ai and the craze for retouching .... i am back to film photography and delivering the picture as is ( which i was already doing on my d700 ) ... my new moto is ... " Love yourself the way you are ;) " anyway one thing i want to ask is your image are already very good and need minimum retouching .... how will the software adapt to the average photography taken with no ocf under bad lighting condition
Pretty good for LinkedIn portraits. My feeling is it is a little too mechanical when used too heavily, or for professional ad / campaign work (having said this in the past many retouchers have been too heavy handed, but this is subjective). All in all very impressive. Definitely a tool to consider. Thank you.
Thank you! When I saw the first image pop from a present I said WOW out loud. I am sure technology like this will have a place in our workflows and we can use it to help us speed things up at the very least.
Retouch4me is the one for batch retouching to get a good base.
Well, that’s interesting. I’m aware that professional model shoots for things like magazine covers have been retouched for decades, sometimes so much as to essentially become a fantasy. I have no problem with that, their goal is to produce entertainment and art. But wait until Apple buys this company. Then your iPhone 15 Pro will instantly make photos like this, even if you shoot your model under an orange sodium streetlight, or in total darkness with the built-in flash. Perhaps this is one more reason younger kids today are shooting Kodak Portra in old film cameras.
Hi John! Thank you for this helpful video, I'm going to try them out! Just wondering if you're using any AI methods for retouching hair such as fly aways and strands on the face? It looks like this software does not have any hair tools, correct? Thank you!!
Thank you Nicole. I havebnt tried all the AI software out there so I am not sure if one exists. I am looking at Evoto like it's capable of doing 80% of the work for you.
Hi, we are processing on these functions, maybe half a year it will appears, looking forward to Evoto
This software is amazing😅
Great review.. when I download.. it only show me 5 credits.. how do I get the 40 credit test.. thanks
I think they have to credit
It manually.
Headup mate your description says Envato which is a different thing
Ha... the market place for my wordpress theme. I better fix that. Thanks!
John, I’m in the market for a new editing monitor. What monitor do you use with your Mac Studio?
Hi Anthony, I have the older version of this amzn.to/3HuVMvX
I tried this software myself. Mixed results. Not good enough to enable in my workflow. What I have noticed is all all the AI retouching software money trucks are backed into influencers driveways. Although a novel idea, I'm not fond of influencers pushing this. There is no easy path to quality work.
Absolutely Right
It's like the siren's song, almost impossible to resist. Background changes in a single click, skin retouching etc. At some point you begin to change the jaw width. It is a slippery slope. And, I guess, these software companies are collecting lots and lots of images to train their AI on. And guess what: there will be an app like that on your former portrait client's iPhone very soon. These former cleints will be having a blast with transforming their own selfies to whatever they please. This will capture the lower 95% of the portrait market. Highstreet studios will be a thing of the past. There will be a tiny minority of artistic photographers doing portraiture without retouching or even doing portraiture on film and these photographers might have a small market of very demanding, educated clients who value authenticity.
I messed around with this software. I wasn’t overly impressed with it. It seemed a little heavy handed on most of its preset retouching choices. Also, I’m pretty sure it only outputs JPEG. No bueno.
It output Tiff files for me so maybe they changed it since you used it. I am sure the software will only get better over time and you can always make your own preset.
HI Pete McKnight, we allowed Tiff, and you can save your own presets
Credit per image it's not a good idea for me!
I only received 5 credits :(
contact them.
Their pricing is wacked. Charging you to render out a jpeg.
congratulations, now we all look like AI Humans where any "flaws" are gone. sad times for society. more body dysmorphia on the road. nothing against john, just an observation on the way things are going
AI too heavy, less neutral.
Yet another photographer I’m losing respect for due to choosing AI over developing your own photographic skills or working with a retoucher. Yes, retouchers are a thing/job. Apparently a thing of the past. You can’t cherry-pick what you want with AI, folks. You take none of it or all of it. And the more we support it, the faster it’s going to completely replace photography. And if you don’t think that’s the goal-replacing you-you’re delusional.
Also, there are some serious privacy concerns uploading a client’s photo (especially their boudoir sessions) to any AI cloud processor. This should not be something that you just do with all your clients by default: ask for your client’s consent, tell them you’re using AI.
John Gress is so transparent not only with us as fans, but his clients as people. Lightroom is AI, Photoshop has AI, Capture One has AI…even cameras use AI now. Just because of it’s mainstream connotation doesn’t mean we haven’t been using it for years.
@@evertonwood3310 ...Absolutely braindead. So yeah auto-expose and smart object select is equivalent to the jumps in generative AI in the past year? Are you really playing THAT dumb? Or since companies use it it's ok? I can't wait until they come up with the AI that writes better arguments. Wouldn't that be great for you! Who can fail, when you don't have to try!
@@usernamehandle We won't uploading the photos to AI cloud. It's only processed on your computer, so we're fast
