I would expect the Redeemer to actually have an advantage in shielding once some of the shield balance is figured out. But, I would also expect the Paladin to have more armor, as the Redeemer is stated to be lightly armored to make it more nimble. I think these are two different ships in the same catagory. One is faster, more nimble, has highly advanced shielding, and will likely be better at engaging medium/small aircraft. The other is slower, relies more on its manned turret, has more armor/defenses, and will be capable of devastating larger/medium targets. So pick the one that best suits your desired game play.
A S2 grade A military shield has 6,000 HP & a S3 grade A military shield has 100,000 hp The Redeemer would need 16-17 S2 genes to equal the HP of 1 S3.
I think the intent for the Paladin is that it is an upgraded Hurricane. Paladin is twice the size of a Hurricane Paladin has 1 S3 shield vs 2 S2 Paladin 4x S5 and 4x S4s VS Hurricane's 4x S3 and 2x S4s
When I first saw the terrapin I thought it was a waste of opportunity that there wasnt a gunboat variant for it. The Paladin looks like a terrapin on steroids and buffed up for heavy combat. Also it gives heavy heli vibe and I expect it to handle as that. The turret on rails makes it an ideal choice for attacking ground units
I have both Redeemer end Paladin. The Redeemer is nimble and faster, I'm guessing, and its future modularity is a hopeful draw. It's two SCU is nice to have, and the Jumpseats are a good addition. The Paladin fills the old role of the heavy hitter of the Redeemer, while the Redeemer is more s long range anti-air role and insertion craft with a small supply cache.
In the last CitCon before Redeemer went flight ready, John Crewe said the Redeemer had been repurposed to be a ground attack and ground assault support gunship. Although I have one and am not a great fan of the rework he did, nor of the recent nerf, it still makes a great insertion dropship, which was part of it's original role. The limiting factor now is getting those six marines down that small ladder into the accommodation bay while dodging AA fire on the run in to the LZ.
The part where you say nimble makes for a good joke. It still flies like a truck. Only one without the firepower or protection to make it worth crewing.
Regarding the shields for the cockpit, the diamond laminate glass may be extremely tough but it's still a glass. It will let in "more than normal", let's say, harmful radiation or energy from something like Pyro star pulse. So that's likely one function of those shields. That and Micrometeors.
The Paladin is to the Perseus as the Redeemer is to the Hammerhead. I love it. Wish it had 10 scu though. Before I get started gushing about how much I like the post "nerf" redeemer, I want to say I HATE the redeemer's floor plan. The living quarters should be swapped with the jump seats. That is asinine. It would also benefit from losing a crew station just for overcrowding, especially since it is longer range. I really do get kinda frustrated with the Redeemer discourse. The redeemer was ALWAYS historically a relatively nimble, well armed multirole combat ship. The update that saw it out-tanking a hammerhead with the maneuverability to match was an odd choice. The huge increase to its maneuverability that we just got makes it way more appealing to a solo pilot, with a reasonable nerf to its survivability. The s5 guns going away could be seen as a "buy the paladin" nerf, but it really does help to define its role better. The redeemer is a reasonable, useful anti-fighter and anti-small ship platform now, assuming turrets ever get to the point that they threaten fighters. Time will tell. This is an anti-medium and large ship platform. It is designed to kill Redeemers, connies, cutties, and ships up to cats and Hercs (speaking of overpowered ships). It is a perfect complement to the Redeemer.
@johnboyd9713 yes it is! Like I said, they should have stuck with the old design. The fan team made a banger of a design. CIG thought "let's show these little guys how we do it!"... Then proceeded to make an inferior design that is less practical and dumb on its face.
@@thatravendude Ils ont surtout copié énorméments d'éléments de la gamme Vanguard pour rework de Redeemer de façon rapide. Mais ce rework est vraiment très mauvais
Personally I see these Paladin and Redeemer for entirely different jobs. Redeemer is a great fighter defense ship, with it being difficult to overwhelm with sheer fighter support with the dual turrets on top and belly. The Paladin however, while being more powerful in the firepower department, only has that singular turret where firepower is truly horrifying, and it can't be on both sides at the same time, leading to blind spots. So I don't think either is inherently superior to one, as both are useful for different jobs.
Because of the Redeemers new weaker shields it can very easily get overwhelmed by fighters. Its not agile enough and turret aiming isn't accurate enough. The Paladin is likely going to fly and behave exactly like old Redeemer. Where it was almost an Anti Cap ship role of both turrets firing on 1 target, much like the Paladin will be.
Yeah.... sure buddy. The fact that they constantly nerf a ship that my compete with the new toy being sold right as IAE is around the corner, is totally a "coincidence". The redeemer role WAS what the Paladin role is today. That's not a coincidence. See you in 2-3 years when the replacement for the Paladin comes. They are totally not going to nerf it to the ground. Totally...
It's nice that the Redeemer was adjusted to where it was in the beginning, and fitting to the Aegis corporate philosophy. And to replace the void of the heavy hitter role the Redeemer used to serve, they have Anvil. A manufacturer known for their tough ships and firepower.
thats neat but a lot of people bought the gunship that the redeemer became, its very shady to downgrade the redeemer not too long before this comes out. Let's say I sell you a 10-speed bicycle with an M60 strapped to it. It's very cool, I know. Then, at some point after you buy it, I strip out a couple of the gears and swap your M60 for an Ak with a really big magazine. but hey don't fret you can buy this brand new bicycle I just came out with that has an m60 and 10 speeds, except its different because its red and it has a bell. i didn't scam you, the two bikes just have different niches within the same role.

That’s the trouble with buying ships now, isn’t it? CIG has made some convoluted changes to some favorites that pretty much removed them from the field for many of us. Ion, redeemer, Corsair… and these weren’t simple balance changes, they were prime shifts that effectively removed the run from them. I’m happy to sit back and see what comes but my wallet is likely closed for good.
The Redeemer and Corsair are both still really good. The corsair still has the second best pilot dps in the game... we don't talk about the ion. That thing... is trash.
I had a Redeemer, then Corsair, then Starlancer Tac, but after Paladin emerged, there was no disussion. I fell in love with it. I think that stats may change. You should choose ships watchning your feelings rather than the numbers. My feelings for Paladin are strong :)
Looks great on release but then again, that's how CIG sells stuff. You need to think of what this ship will be like when it is balanced and has the main turret reduced from S5 to S4's, and the shields are reduced from S3 down to a few S2's
I dont so much see this as a "Death to the Redeemer", as i see it as Anvil looking at RSI's Scorpius and going "Eh, we can do bigger". It's likely going to be bigger profile-wise than the Redeemer. And the Redeemer's weapons being split between 2 turrets means that you can focus on 2 different targets at once, while the Paladin is pretty much a 'forward focused' ship that picks 1 thing to attack.\ *quick edit* Another thing... i always felt the Redeemer was meant more as a 'smaller Hammerhead' than a 'ground attack' craft. And i say this knowing it was 'meant' to be a "dropship" during the NGSS contest. My reason for this is simple. It's engines. Yes they look cool, but they are big, bulky, and when 'on' they fold up/down, well beyond what the landing gear would normally cover. That type of design works well in space, but not on the ground. So while the 'label' it was given during TNGSS was a 'dropship', it ultimately was designed as a space 'gunship', similar to the Hammerhead.
Taking the main turret off of the rails, keep it in the dorsal position, and put a single size 6 or 7 weapon hard point on the belly would be some changes I would like to see made. Maybe even have one of the paint options include tusks on the nose.
I melted my redeemer because the entire point was the gunners having big S5 weapons that made people wanna gun on it. So ya, I picked one of these up as the replacement.
Look at the Redeemer compared to every other ship out there. Before the nerf, it had the same amount of shielding as the Hammerhead and 4x s5 weapons, 4x s3 weapons, 2x s4 weapons on a ship roughly the size of a Cutlass. To be fair, the Redeemer was a ship that CIG should have never made. It has been and will always be a balancing nightmare.
CIG has a history of removing redundancy components from ships. The most resent victim of this I can think of is the 400i Do not base your purchases on it. Also be vary that gun sizes may change in the future if the ship is too dominant outside its intended role. Glass is like normal hull. Blast shields functionally will be like adding armor to a hull. CIG plans to make armor actual plates on the ship that needs to be penetrated or blown off.
well those s3 power grid had to feed 2x s3 shield and two twin s5 turret. I believe cig was too lazy to realign the rest of the components in case they want to revert the shield change ...
The Redeemer has more turrets and will most likely be nimbler, among other things. As soon as I get up to 3 or 4 people, I'll be in a Perseus instead of either. I wonder if the Paladin will get modules to attach in the back, empty space. It seems like there are doors to nothing, which is okay for EVA but I'm not sure what purpose it would serve. People have been asking for cargo and medical variants of the Valkyrie and this could be CIG's answer.
Having the armory at the rear of the ships are a bad thing especially if there's only one entrance. Once ships like the legionnaire come into play, those that will try to board other ships will be taking all of that gear. Or better said, those being boarded will basically be defenseless.
Great video! I love the look and guns on this ship. But zero scu and the low quantum fuel and smallish capacitor for such big guns… mainly the zero scu really bugs me me😢 This will be an in game purchase ship for me to bring out to defend or attack an important spot or get revenge with. Zero scu will be tragic u less it flies with a fuel ship or cargo ship Or if it stays in one local area and never leaves
The Paladin and the Redeemer honestly fill completely different roles to one another. The Paladin fights ships the same size and bigger, where the Redeemer fights ships the same size and smaller. I honestly think that the Paladin/ Redeemer, are the smaller equivalents of the Perseus and the Hammerhead respectively. The changes to the Redeemer make it the perfect little brother to the hammerhead as an anti-fighter platform, and the Paladin serves as both the little brother to the punch-up platform of the Perseus, or looking the other way, a Super-Hurricane. I don't think either invalidates the other, and I honestly think that they make eachother better.
during ops the redeemer can loiter much longer than the paladin if fully crewed she would be the better choice for close air support especially with precision targeting the deemer can hunt all ground forces... if the crew is competent.
The redeemer very clearly wants to punch down. All of it is optimized for very very efficient screening of fighters, akin to a small hammerhead. The paladin wants to punch up, with all of the firepower focusing on a single target. The redeemer offers flexibility, while the Paladin offers durability.
I like the Paladin but there are some question marks with it, while built with a crew of four this ship clearly was not going to release with pilot controlled guns and they quickly back tracked on that statement because they knew it was going to really reduce its sale numbers. That being said I also agree I don't see any reasons for the crew of four, put those two extra people in another Paladin. What we have then is a gunship with allot of fire power but not much else. She is a brawler, pure and simple with excellent turret coverage with no blind spot that I can see making its lack of agility less of a problem. However I would pass on this, when you strip it down to a 2 person ship attack ship option the speed and agility of the scorpias and the hurricane are just better and cheaper If I was CIG they instead need to give me a reason to have 4 people on this ship, ditch the pilot controlled guns and put quad size 3 turrets on the wings. Now it's a mini Hammerhead, which is something that we don't have but I think people would like. As is I am seeing the weapon platform ability of the ship and I always appreciate a small crew but for a ship this size for the range it has...I think I would take a heavy fighter.
old redeemer never fitted the role. new redeemer is fine and the Paladin fits the old describtions of a gunship. btw i fly the redeemer often, the new agility suits it much better.
@@sharkur Her ability to take on oversized roles was unique. Old redeemer had her own uniqueness and was suitable. No matter what CIG changes redeemer, She will never regain the uniqueness she deserves for her pledge price. except for rollback.

so this is where the redeemer's S5's went. its a cool ship but its so lame that they nerfed the redeemer so this would sell more. how long until this gets its turret nerfed too?
Why RIP Redeemer? They fill two completely different roles. I feel both are perfectly designed and priced for what they are (although I'd like to see the hab upstairs in the rear on the Redeemer). Both will be great ships once all mechanics are implemented.
benifit of blast shields would be simple. If the cockpit has the same armor as every other part of the ship why wouldnt you just destroy the cockpit and disable the whole ship. if the cockpit is heavily armored and has twice as much hitpoints then it might not be worth trying to attack.
Then it will be even stronger. I feel like they want it to be attacked from behind. Lose those wings/thrusters or lose its engineering components at the back.
@@Vioblight thats basicly most anvil ships at this point. they are armored and heavy. pritty much everything besides the terrapin has some weak points on the tail or have single engines. ships like the saber or soemthing like the gladiator have 2 engines so if one fails they could potentially stay in the sky.
@@ricky6608 any number of reasons could be as simple as keeping people from looking inside the ship. or making it pitch black inside for combat. but these ships are suppost to be tanky, the valkyrie has that reinforced troop rooms to make sure they are safe could be any reason why an anvil ship might have stronger armor in other places of the ship compared to the cockpit. as anvil is all about armor.
My concern is if the weapons are swap-able and I want to run ballistic weapons, there's no official grid for extra SCUs of ammo. If they even can be reloaded.
I wholly expect the Pally to be a combat support in the thick of things, mostly in bigger fights; as I would put money that in smaller engagements it is more likely to be singled out by a heavy fighter or bomber; and dispatched quickly given its simple design and likely easy to hit components where a redeemer has a slimmer profile and odd structure for targeting components. I believe this expectation is reflected in its fuel capacities, one way trip highly likely.
Firstly I just want to say I love the idea of having competing "reskins" from different manufacturers. We have competing models from different car manufacturers, so why would space ships in teh future be any different? Seconfly I want to suggest one thing that you never mention. Buying a CCU from a ship that never gets a CCU is still a good idea, just in case it does get a CCU. If it doesn't, you can always buy the CCU from the next down ship with real money and it costs the same, but it initially leaves less money on the table and it might pay off if you can wait. Here is my question: How will the CCU game change when the game releases? Will we still be allowed to sell ships on the grey market? Will CCUs still be sold? Will ship prices fall drastically when the game releases?
they call it a gunship with only three turrets? Tali is still the gunship / missile boat with 5 turrets and 6 s9 torps imo. But I'm sure the Paladin will become quite useful
you can bet heavily that CIG will nerf the paladin in any number of ways right after enough players buy the new meta for their hangars. still, it'll be a fun ship to kill with a fighter whether it's manned properly or not...
Don't think that the Paladin was worth nerfing the Redeemer to that extent. I'll pass on the Paladin, I'll just use my TAC for the role, as it seems to be a better all arounder than the Paladin will, and has even more firepower...for the moment until CIG takes the nerf bat to all their good ships again.
People love jumping on the Nerf train. The Paladin isn't even in the same class of ships as the Redeemer. Another gunship, sure, but the Paladin could never compete with a fully crewed Redeemer with a good pilot. The Paladin looks more like a heavily armed Valkyrie which is all fine and good, but it's no multicrew heavy fighter like the Redeemer
Though I am tempted to upgrade out of my redeemer especially because of the slap in the face and kick in the balls they have done to redeemer owners. I'm gonna hang on to my redeemer partly because I've had it since 2015 and the memories it brings. And partly becauseI'm holding on to hopes that CIG has future plans for it that will make it a worthwhile ship again instead of just another backburner insult to my wallet
Hi great video! But Walkyrie is a dropship, so not the same that this one. About the weapons, as you said, redeemer got the guns smaller now, The same could happend to that ship. I bought the redeemer, and the ship is not anymore the one i put money in. That is why i will not ever put more money in the game. it is really too easy to sell you dreams and then change the ship.
Honestly I don't really look at stats. All I know is the Paladin is a chunky looking Combat Ship "exactly" as I like them so I take it! ... well once it's released ingame. Nearly 300 bucks is a little too much for me.
69th like.. nice! Like this ship especially since they changed it by adding the pilot controlled weapons, the 2 dual size 4 turrets, not bad. Like I've said before adding a second player to that quad s5 turret will be awesome and a lot of fun!
This thing has more firepower than a Polaris ^^ Quad S5 what a joke, at this rate the Perseus will need 2x2xS9 Guns. But gladly this will be nerfed at the next chance when another ship releases.
The redeemer pilot has control over 2×S4 and 2×S3 on the remote turret in front... Please know the facts b4 posting, compares and so on. The Redeemer allso fly like an heavy fighter, which i really doubt the paladin will. But we will see when it gets flyeble
As it is right now, the Redeemer is jus a flying coffin. It is grossly under-protected and the shorter range, and lesser firepower in the size 4 guns leaves it prone to be kitted to death by fighters. It is too slow and clumsy for anti-fighter work, too weak for anti-shipping, and it doesn't have the range or punch for ground assault. It is just a sad meme that illustrates CIG's lack of regard for the backers. I love the ship, but she has no use as she is.
Not a fan of this ship. Unless it’s absolutely devastating, this ship will never see the inside of my hanger, unless I steal one. Just the double capacity for quantum and hyd in the redeemer already makes her better, imo, and if you think CIG won’t nerf that quad size 5 in 3-6 months, you’re fooling yourself
this isnt a redeemer killer in any sense of the word. its a side trade off for each ship. its getting tiring to keep seeng people believe they should be able to solo in all ships at all times
I agree. The Redeemer is faster and more maneuverable. So even with less firepower it'll probably win against a Paladin unless the Pally gets some lucky shots.
@@Archmage9885 the redeemer now is in a spot that has purpose, its a troop carrier like a blackhawk for sure. its not a bare knuckle fighter. it does need work to bring to new systems gold standard but that will come in time.
This is the mini Valkyrie I’ve always wanted, and although I pledge not to buy any ships this year because the company needs to learn how to actually make ships they are already sold. I did break my own rule and bought the paladin
Honestly the biggest reason I never bought a Redeemer... to me it is phenomenally ugly. I watched the ship competition with rapt interest, and there were some designs I absolutely would have bought, that got eliminated in the final rounds... Pre and Post nerf, the Redeemer was not a ship for me. I picked up a CCU for this, we'll see.
Who gives a flip about not carrying cargo?!?! If you want cargo use a cargo ship. If you want cargo in a ship similar to the Paladin use a Valkyrie. Cargo isn't everything (in my opinion it's the second worst mechanic in the game after mining).
THe paladin has the worst interior layout in the game, just my opinion. With the larger size it could have had cargo area or drop ship seats/lockers. The hab area is far to big and the stairs take up far to much space. Overall I see a LOT of wasted space.

The redeemer *lost* it's 2x s5 turrets so that the paladin concept would sell better. A 3-man gunship (redeemer) competing against a 2-man gunship (paladin) with all of the other tradeoffs (shields, size, etc.) should've been sufficient as-is. Don't worry, the paladin's weapons will be "adjusted" after its release too.
They just need to give the size 5 guns back to the redeemer and i think it would be fine or bring the size 4 pilot weapons to size 5 then it would have the firepower of the prowler with less maneuverability balancing it and i think it would be with this but i don’t know cig will do that and it would give solo players and crews a even middle ground little less firepower when fully crewed but a wider firing arc and bubble and faster maneuverability
What CIG doesn't want you to know about Buyer's Guide: Nothing what you see or hear is real, everything is made to look good on paper to convince you to spend money, you may or may not get the ship that fit it's description because sales are final but delivery of product in presented way isn't legaly binding and after many many years down the line if you get the ship you are considering to buy you can count it will be adjusted in a way that is way worse then the new future ship that will be ready for sale... @@heathmorris6100 It was not lol. The redeemer was absolutely dog shit. They actually buffed it when they nerfed it because they gave it some mobility that it desperately needed.
It wasn't even over performing that much. It was still difficult to lock light fighters in the Redeemer S5 Turrets because the projectile speed of S5s is so low and any fighter moving around and not just circling in the same direction constantly was still fairly difficult to hit, even in the turrets. Now I will say that Twin S3 shields was definitely overpowered for such a small ship and it always should have had a Single S3 just like the Paladin Concept. The Redeemer nerf was a bad move period. Most people bought that ship because giving the big fun guns to the turrets meant people actually preferred to crew it over just taking their own fighter a lot of the time. Now, nobody cares about the Redeemer. I melted mine and picked up the Paladin and Im sure most other Redeemer owners are gonna do the exact same thing. The nerf also makes the Redeemer extremely overpriced considering a Constellation gets those S5 weapons for much less.
@wallacengineering8096 if you buy a ship based on its combat performance you are stupid. This game is in alpha. You should know that the games balance and ship capabilities are gonna change drastically over time. And the fact that you said it wasn't overperforming "that much" means you know I'm right
I don't believe it's "RIP Redeemer" like most people, out of which I would bet between 80 to 90% are redeemer or corsair owners, upset by the recent balancing. This ship will be balanced after release, almost guaranteed. Personally, I feel that the Redeemer has better coverage than the Paladin, it would also most likely be more maneuverable. Redeemer has what? 3 turrets plus the pilot size 4(?) and missiles? Paladin has 2 guns in each wing and a turret... after the inevitable balance of the top turret, do you really think it's "RIP Redeemer"?! Sigh... 🤦🏻♂️

Yeah....
Totally...
I see the Paladin being Defense and the Redeemer being hit and run offense. One brawls one Guerilla tactics.
@XDfunnyguy did the bike come with a disclaimer that says it's subject to change so only buy it if that's a risk you're willing to take?

Found you :) this guy has an ace up his sleeve
9:00 of course it outclass the Redeemer. The Redeemer was NERFED for the purpose of selling THIS ship.
I would gt this just for how it looks. Coolest looking ship in my opinion.
Some sosce for a cyclone or pulse would of been cool but i guess it is a a dedicated gunship
And the Redeemer's weapons being split between 2 turrets means that you can focus on 2 different targets at once, while the Paladin is pretty much a 'forward focused' ship that picks 1 thing to attack.\
*quick edit*
Another thing... i always felt the Redeemer was meant more as a 'smaller Hammerhead' than a 'ground attack' craft.
If the pilot can control some guns, its cool
Pilot controls the wing turrets if they aren't manned
But they nerfed too much. A simple Andrómeda is better now.
@@Luis-lq5ykthe Connie Phoenix is so goated this patch
CIG succeeded then. They nerfed the Redeemer so to sell the Paladin. They will do it to the Paladin too once they want to sell another gunboat.
But Redeemer has 2 S3 power plants and Paladin has only 2 S2. That's where the balancing is happening on paper.
That’s a great point to consider. I have gone back to the Sabre after power plant buffs. It can shoot twice as long as before which is incredible
well those s3 power grid had to feed 2x s3 shield and two twin s5 turret. I believe cig was too lazy to realign the rest of the components in case they want to revert the shield change ...
The power plants are gated by the lower shield recharge rate and not having enough pips to cover the demand.
I wonder if it will have external cargo access for a few scu. There is some space to the left of the entrance. Outside of the ship.
Good content. Liked and Subbed.
But zero scu and the low quantum fuel and smallish capacitor for such big guns… mainly the zero scu really bugs me me😢
This will be an in game purchase ship for me to bring out to defend or attack an important spot or get revenge with. Zero scu will be tragic u less it flies with a fuel ship or cargo ship
Or if it stays in one local area and never leaves
With AI blades for turrets some of these considerations will change. Post 1.0, with AI crew, a lot will change thankfully
Nerfed Redeemer. Everyone got to see the reason.
old redeemer never fitted the role. new redeemer is fine and the Paladin fits the old describtions of a gunship. btw i fly the redeemer often, the new agility suits it much better.
@@sharkur Her ability to take on oversized roles was unique.
Old redeemer had her own uniqueness and was suitable.
No matter what CIG changes redeemer, She will never regain the uniqueness she deserves for her pledge price. except for rollback.
@@sharkur By a new heavy gunship, just CIG has kicked out a user-designed ship. Even if there is no problem with two ships existing with the same role.
so this is where the redeemer's S5's went. its a cool ship but its so lame that they nerfed the redeemer so this would sell more. how long until this gets its turret nerfed too?
Finally a reason for 2 people to get in 1 ship
It's about 1/5th of a hammerhead.
Why RIP Redeemer? They fill two completely different roles. I feel both are perfectly designed and priced for what they are (although I'd like to see the hab upstairs in the rear on the Redeemer). Both will be great ships once all mechanics are implemented.
Maybe what, 3 years. Hope the BMM is getting done 😊 along with all the ships that backers have pledged for first.
benifit of blast shields would be simple. If the cockpit has the same armor as every other part of the ship why wouldnt you just destroy the cockpit and disable the whole ship.
if the cockpit is heavily armored and has twice as much hitpoints then it might not be worth trying to attack.
The cockpit ‘glass’ is in lore the strongest part of the hull
They said the redeemer has too big weapons for its size dual size 5. The paladin is about the same size and has a quad size 5.
I'm 99.5% the Redeemer will fly much more nimbler.
The Paladin is also a much bigger profile.
hopefully it doesn't spend 6 years in concept
Very nice video. Its good to see someone taht actually knows what theyre talking about in this community.
Look forward to CIG inventing a new ship to replace this one, and nerfing this to reduce its value. They don't even hide it any more.
Everything on 1 turret means if it is taken down, you're out of fight.
I don't care about it being less maneuverable. Better turret coverage.
That is why i will not ever put more money in the game. it is really too easy to sell you dreams and then change the ship.
dumped my a1 for this. from useless to useful? we shall see. additionally, its pure irony the loaner ship is a REDEEMER!! :D
Halo vibes ✨️
Paladin is nice. Until the next gunship that causes a nerf to advance sales. Then the Paladin will be crying in the corner with the redeemer.
The paladin demands a redeemer rework. The redeemer waepon nerf gets more and more offensive as they add reasons it shouldnt have happened.
Not the same. Redeemer has to power 6 s2s... 18 power vs 5 required for the Paladin
giant valkyrie
This thing has more firepower than a Polaris ^^ Quad S5 what a joke, at this rate the Perseus will need 2x2xS9 Guns. But gladly this will be nerfed at the next chance when another ship releases.
They nerfed the Redeemer to sell this ship.
There is absolutely no way that 4x S5 turret doesnt get nerfed. I wouldnt recommend buying this ship.
We know why the Redeemer got nerfed now
its cool but CIG is gonna nerf it hard after they make a few mil off it
Come back to this comment when the size of the turrets get reduced in size, quantity or what's controllable by the pilot gets nerfed.
just throw the redeemer to the junk and forget this trash we don’t need it anymore 💪🏻
Hmmm Bait and Switch .. FOUR SIZE 5 GUNS is too much for the Corsair but ok for the Paladin. Wake up Citizens of the Verse.
Knowing the developers look like that are going to chicken out and make the ship weaker than what it should be I guarantee it
I guarantee you they're going to turn those size five in size 3 within a month of releasing the ship because thar afraid of flexing power
This is the mini Valkyrie I’ve always wanted, and although I pledge not to buy any ships this year because the company needs to learn how to actually make ships they are already sold. I did break my own rule and bought the paladin
Is it smaller than the valk? From the interior shots I'd think it's a little bigger.
Until it is nerfed at lauch.
I picked up a CCU for this, we'll see.
oh so this is the ship which made them nerf my corsair, guess I will need to buy this one now 🤣 yeah right! Not a penny from me anymore.
LOL, no ship get RIP...and this concept wont come for 3 years so Redeemers going no where
WAIT so you can use the "turret" guns when a co pilot is not using them? so why tf did the corsair not get this function???
Because the Paladin was about to go on sale
It’s also not a new feature the redeemer, super hornet, and reliant Tana also have it 😂
For a military ship, there is so much wasted space! I think it's terrible to be honest, but the cockpit is pretty neat.
Overall I see a LOT of wasted space.
this game is not getting another penny from me until the galaxy is in the game dont matter what the new shinny is , galaxy is what i want in the game to even both playing but the did us dirty there not going play or pick anything new i know what i want to do in the game and galaxy severs that role all i need for me and my buddies to have a good time and meantime POE 2 will give break for this not a game company
RIP Redeemer in 10 years, i guess?
They just need to give the size 5 guns back to the redeemer and i think it would be fine or bring the size 4 pilot weapons to size 5 then it would have the firepower of the prowler with less maneuverability balancing it and i think it would be with this but i don’t know cig will do that and it would give solo players and crews a even middle ground little less firepower when fully crewed but a wider firing arc and bubble and faster maneuverability
I just feel like they need to make these big turrets manned. It's so disappointing seeing it as a remote turret...
All ship sales are about trigering emotions not about providing logical rational reasons therefore now when you know dark secrets behind star citizen, question is... do you have controll and are you in charge of your life or are you driven by primitive emotions and slaping credit card left and right like a monkey...

Yall need to calm down about the redeemer. Every ship in this game is gonna get rebalanced and changed. Stop crying because they finally got to your overperforming ship
Redeemer overperforming? Just say you have no idea what the current balance of the game is next time.
@T51B1 redeemer had double the shields of a constellation and bigger guns than a hammerhead while being considerably smaller than both. It was absolutely overperforming. Maybe pay attention to the rest of the game next time
@@heathmorris6100 It was not lol.
Sigh... 🤦🏻♂️
