Thanks mate! :)

This review is a very high review of that reviewing reviewer so you should go on to review more reviewing reviewers with that well reviewed reviewing skills of yours
This is how a review should be! Straight to the point and comprehensive. Thank you very much.
Thanks mate. I try to make the sort of videos I'd like to watch myself, ie without 48 minutes of blah blah before the review starts. 😁👍
Thank you for this. One of the most detailed and well-created reviews out there!
Love it man, excellent review- super detailed. never seen anyone do the sound simulations like you did, they really helped
Pleasure! 😁👍
This is literally the best review ever made, thanks. I love your honesty.
Really loved the review. Straight to the point and very informative. Thank you, great job!
This quality is fucking great! One of the best reviews I have seen in my life
Thank you :)
just thanks for such a well produced video
thats so good that u edited in this sound of touching wire for better understanding what to expect. Really nice touch thanks
This is an excellent review. Thank you very much!
You are doing great. Keep going with this informative stuff.😇
This is what I call A REAL REVIEW! Thank you so much! 🙏
Thanks mate 😁👍
Cheers to this brother
Really comprehensive review
yep - covered all the important points and not kept repeating "build quality" every 2 minutes
good job
Listening to this on my K72's and everything you said is spot on XD
Thanks for the feedback mate, I appreciate it :)
your review is really high quality
This quality of a review is something else
Glad you like it 😁👍
Thanks for this. I was looking for quality but affordable headphones to connect to my guitar amp so I could play at night. I hope this is the right choice.
may i know how's the sound quality so far? thinking of buy this model too for quiet practice on my guitar amp
@@TheRandom2334 me too
Amazing review.. Thank you so much.
in terms of doing both tracking and mixing, which one do you prefer, these or the Samson SR950?
just had a pair delivered this morning, got them for a quarter less than their RRP and i love them
Noice!
Great review. Thanks!
I just got these as a backup after my 3x-more-expensive studio mixing headphones broke, and I'm struggling to hear details in my own music. Everything sounds echo-ey and far away, like they're not fitting over my ears properly, but even when I shove them closer, high-end frequencies just aren't coming in clearly. I immediately miss having that ultra-clarity.
cool review, this akg model will be my backup (at office) from beyer dynamic dt990 pro
The main question is " Can we use this headphone for music production" ? High-Mid-Low balanced? We don't need boosted sound..we want listen the actual sound coming out from my production..
is it better to go with akg k72 or ath m20x? Thanks
Really underrated review 🔥
Thanks mate
Can they be used for zoom meetings or teams metings or virtual trainings ?
Are those good headphone for recording voices? I mean …does the sound goes out of them? Like for the mic to hear it and record it
Are they good for mixing?
Hi, that was amazing
Do you still recommend this model after 3 years?
This is a good review, awesome.
Nice review. What's the difference between the K72 and K52?
Can I change the ear pad if need to?
Useful video. Thank you
Do you need an audio interface for these headphones?
What's the song played at the opening?
awesome quality review cheers mate
Thank you! 😁👍
Awesome! thanks a million for the advice!
Happy it helped you!
clear review ..
in hallelujah pentatonix refrains ... is the low sound from the afro male singer sounded good from this headphone .. ? ... i mean the sound stage ... i heard that song from open back surround sound 7.1 headphone ... and the sound delivered very2 good ..
It's good for mixing and mastering?
Better than m20x for comfort and sound quality?
im listening to this with my AKG K72s they are great!
Should i buy them or oneodio pro 10?
Thanks, very useful!
Do you think k52 is good for recording ?
I don't really get that cord noise after about 2 feet down the cord, and certainly no noise at the plug end.
Can i buy this for music production?
is listening to music with these good?
My AKG K52s have that same cord noise. But, I heard other brands that do the same thing.
Good review. Thank you.
nice video,
is it need an audio interface for its full potential quality? or normal 3.5 mm jack work as good for mixing and mastering?
What they do is faithfully reproduce a flat version (not as much bass as you may expect from other such headphones) of anything that goes through them. They will provide a really clean version through either the 3.5mm or 1/4" jack & in my experience they sound the same. Hope that helps.
Can i use it for mixing
Top class video mate:)
Cheers mate 😁👍
Can someone measure inside pad dimensions?
This headphone is good for mixing???
i completely agree about the sound quality, but i'd like to add something. The drivers have flat response, but the closed cup makes them resonate noticebly high around 2khz to 4khz (chi sound) and they have a cup like distorsion (you know, like you have a speaker on top of a cup)
to be honest that bothered me way more than the face hugging ear cups.
Yeah fair point!
I bought the akg k92 for gaming about a year ago as I wanted something high quality with a long cable that I can wear without any discomfort. They are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn and the audio quality is great for the price. I definitely recommend anyone looking for an extraordinarily comfortable set of headphones for gaming to get a set of akg k72/k92 headphones as I personally think they’re great. I also personally think they’re also good when it comes to general use as well. (I wear glasses and so over ear headphones were a must when I was searching for the right ones to prevent my ears from hurting after a while of usage)
hey So u have 3:57 problem cause i wanna buy this headphone for gaming and im stuck rn
@@Idontknow-qo5gp I’ve never experienced it with my k92 headphones
K92 Owner here, more than a year using them and I can't say they are comfortable, they get all sweaty after barely 30 minutes of use...
My only solution since I use them all day for gaming, watching movies and hearing music all alike...was to put toilet paper over the pads pressure point bellow my ear and replace them once they get all dirty after a week of use or so, no more sweat and adds an extra layer of comfort (soft toilet paper, not the cheap kind). And to fix the head-set touching my ears inside I added toilet paper as well inside the air-pad, all around them to increase the distance to the ear, adds more thickness to the ear-pads and also eliminate humidity by simple air absorption like a dehumidifier would. Another thing is the ear-pad made out of synthetic leather will ware off after 1-3 years of use and I was already prepare for that, I currently had to replace the air-pads a week ago after almost 2 years of heavy use, even bough them on advance after a month of use since I knew is was going to happen and I didn't wanna swap them given how much they can last with some small maintained done to them. The other option is to pill off the broken leather with your finger and you find a second layer of good old soft sheet, it should solve discomfort issues but sound quality will degrade a bit because you lose the perfect seal provide by the plastic leather. Planning on upgrading to ATH-M50x when I can get the money but so far I'm not disappointed with this head-sets regarding quality of the sound despite the fact they do need a small tune using Smart-EQ to boost Bass/tremble a bit to solve some issues when they are brand new, like hearing the plastic noise inside the chamber (less noticeable after a month of use). I also use glasses and the only advice I can give is to adjust the temple tips of your glasses if you find discomfort and try different position around them, but all and all every headset gets better after a week of use, they accommodate to the glasses and if not you should seek to buy new ones with low profile temple tips or find a replace for them since this part of the glasses come in different size and shapes (cheap replacement).
Is the noisy plug wire something you've encountered with other headphones or is this a unique problem with these ?
It's more that it's REALLY noticeable with these headphones, so while others might have this issue it is very prevalent here.
You said these are 'for studio monitoring purposes'. I'm looking for headphones for listening to music/ UA-cam Video's and more general purpose listening. Do you have a recommendation in the same price range?
try the Sennheiser HD206, they always come through with quality for all budgets
Will it still be good if i increase the bass on eq for just enjoying music?
Might be but I wouldn't count on it. My suspicion is that the response curve is flattened so much that a boost will only be marginally effective. For general purpose listening I would find another solution.
Thanks for this awesome review 🔥.
Glad you liked it!
great review.
Thanks very nice video
Are they metal? I have an samson sr850 and the plastic part broke off. I'm thinking of having this as a replacement.
Mostly plastic, connection bars between cups are metal. Durability is pretty good!
Great content. I've recently ordered a pair of K52 for guitar tracking purposes. And sometimes to play at night or maybe setting up my guitar tone. I guess I was correct in choosing this, since usage would be limited and wanted to get a budget studio headphone. Also I felt I couldn't utilize more from the lower freq range of 18Hz or less unless its a bass guitar that I'm tracking. What do you think?
Yep I think you're spot on with your logic.
Can you measure inside pad dimensions?
I'm planning to buy a pair of headsets mainly for editing videos. should i go for these?
Be aware of the issues for video editing that I mentioned in the video. There's one big pitfall here if you shoot outside or in audio complex environments.
thank you man
Watching this review while using AKG K72😎
Did you find it accurate?
Is the cable detachable or kind of fixed?
Fixed.
I give a try them just for cheking mixing. My main is Sennhiser HD 599 SE and AKG K240 600Ohm, but last 2 monts price are skyrocketing idk why on headphones in my country, and good time to avoid high price on headphones and I m buying now them just for LOW PRICE and CHEKING MIXNG
Can they be used to watch movies or listening songs on laptop or mobile?
Yep absolutely.
Awesome review... liked n subbed.
So it's ok to plug into guitar amps?
Thanks in advance😊
Thanks man. Yep all good
great review. thank you
What kind of software do you use to control the levels on your headphones? I find that my AKG K72 has too much bass but I don't know how to change it. I'm not really interested in buying an amplifier.
Hmm interesting I found them to be the opposite so I guess it must be a software issue. I use Audition, OBS and my Rodecaster Pro, all of which run it as a bright headset and none of which are bassy. I guess any EQ software overlay would work, but check that you don't have a dud set. Maybe just plug them into your phone and play some music if it still sounds too bassy I'd consider getting a replacement set. Let me know how you go.
@@ArveyJay would these be good for gaming?
@@dimitristouhell2346 it depends. The sound reproduction is great but because of the flat response curve you will not get the low bass frequencies coming through, so if you're after "big booms" in your audio, these are not a good choice. Hope that helps!
@@ArveyJay can you describe the soundstage?
@@cataclysmal5315 I'll give it a crack... first if all the sound is clear and detailed across most of the frequency range. The midzones can occasionally sound a but muddy but for voice-only applications this is not a major consideration. Might get a bit lost with multiple instruments in the mid zone. As discussed in the video the muted bass means you will hear a more tinny rhythm and bass section but it will still be clear, arguably better for music production because the lower end is not overpowering the rest. Hope that helps!
I just ordered it. ❤️
how was it?
@@freshofftheboat66 highs are clear enough but could have been more accurate but can't blame it to the price, Mids are true and exactly how it should sound like (May differ, depends on what you listen to) and lows are sorta lacking and feels like it was boosted from the factory but still feels dry like it is supposed. Overall good purchase. For studio use, this is a stepping stone to perfection in the right way I would say.
@@TrilokD oh wow this helped now I wanna confirm the buy
Are these good for all rounder headphones? How these compared to Samson sr850? I m really confused about these.
I'm sorry I don't have those to compare to. These are ok as an all rounder but the flat response curve means that the bass end will be reduced. If that doesn't bother you and you're ok with the other aspects covered in the video, then these are fine as general headphones.
@@ArveyJay thanks for the reply man👍🏾. I will do some more research and go for best ones possible.
@@paulgodson798 cool. Let me know how you go 😁👍
Are these great for listening music, edit audio/videos and gaming? I'm between them and Sennheiser HD206.
As mentioned in the video, no. The flat response curve means your audio experience in these settings will not be right.
@@ArveyJay Do you have an opinion on the Sennheiser hd206?
@@TheSilentEvil sorry mate I'm not familiar enough with those to give you a proper review/comparison. If they are also billed as studio monitor headphones then they will suffer the same issue (to some extent). You're looking for a general purpose listening headphone. I have a review of some great sony headphones on my channel but these are quite pricey so it depends on your needs. Good luck 😁👍
@@TheSilentEvil discomfort hd206 with very flat not rich sometimes awfull for many music and movies but ok for "only monitoring" with damn annoying double cable undetachable but if ur budget just on it get it for wise not for lovely one
Hey, I was gonna buy this but comfort is my main factor and was wondering if they pressurise your ears when worn for a long time.
Comfort is ok. There's no pressure on the ears themselves unless your ears stick out a lot you should be fine. :)
Can u tell me is the sound still comes even the cord is being untouched and the wire is just hanging plz tell
If it's not being touched there's no noises from the cord. It's clean and clear when the cord is just resting. Hope that helps.
@@ArveyJay thnx bro
Which is better for casual music listening?
AKG K72 vs oneodio pro10
Really confused
Which did you end up buying?
@@akshatrb AKG because of comfort
Thank you
Is the cable "Detachable"?
Negative, it's fixed in there and doesn't come out. Just the adapter comes off.
Is it good for mixing and master?
I have used it mainly for voice mixing but in that space it's great!
How is the instrument separation and imaging on these ?
Can't say with 100% confidence in a live session but it's good for pre recorded.
@@ArveyJay So far i have invested in cheap Chifi IEM but wanted to try a Over the ear headphones and these seem in budget. Will be using for gaming and casual listening - will this good for that purpose ?
try samson sr850, if you want more analytical try the philipps SHP9500.
samson is dirtcheap shows promise, if you want closeback try takstar of all of em are also chi-fi's
I bought the K92 as listening headphones as I just want to listen to Spotify tracks and make them sound good and also have the ability to wear them for long periods of time without discomfort.
Have yet to really wear them much, but once I do I'll give a review here
Welp, I've used them for about a week solid now, and I gotta say that they're more than adequate for listening headphones. Cable noise is basically nonexistent for me(I heard that some people had that problem), and the sound is absolutely amazing for me. Now, this is my first pair of "professional" or "Audiophile" grade headphones. So for anyone who is looking to get into this hobby, or just wants a REALLY nice pair for cheap(Got mine for under 30 bucks on sale) I recommend these highly. The comfort of these is absolutely unmatched by anything else I've ever owned. Only thing I can even say is that the ear-cups get a little hot after about 3-4 hours of non-stop use. However, aftermarket vented earcups can fix this issue.
Which is better? Audio technica m20x or this?
Depends on price
can i directly connect it to my laptop??
Absolutely, so long as it has the right plug. 👍
Does it have high bass ?
Nope, a flat curve.
Which headphone good for DJ AKG K72 or Sennheiser HD 200 pro?
Would you need to block out the noise around you so you could hear the mix? If that's the case the k72s might not be the best choice as they don't block the environment 100%.
@@ArveyJay can u make a comparison video of both, as both the headphones are at good at price n good rating. It would be helpful for many beginner in DJing n studio works
Are they good for playing story games?
As mentioned in the review, they produce a tinny tone without bass So if a bassy experience is whst you're after, these won't do it.
1).Mic is there or not?
2).Without mic also can we attend like Zoom mettings and can give replies with these headphones connecting to Laptop?
No mic attached so you'll have to sort out a separate mic solution for your zooms unfortunately.
@@ArveyJay ok. Thanks for the feedback
Hey! I wanted to know if these headphones had a mic
no mic :)

Review perfection👌
Thank you 😁👍
I have these since 2 yrs , here is my review
Sound quality - as he explained, yes it have flat responce but some muddyness hard to hear, make me hard to mix high end also.
Not comfortable in Indian Summer 50/100 for Comfort, good for winter and rainy.
That annoying sound when touching wire is not big issue , not for me atleast.
Built quality is okay, i mean luckily i am too careful for my headphones and dont let them drop off table, they have fall many times but dint break, still they feel weak. Fibre on cups get torn after 2 yrs.
Suggest you to go better if u have better budget, Many new producer think that close end headphones are always better than open one, but you see many professionals use open end , coz you can work longer on open end headphones, For me Close end ones make my brain go blank.
This review is based on my personal experience and revelance so dont stick to my review , but yeah ive dtopped my review what i feel about these.
Kya akg 52 acha hai 1 mixing ke liye?, 2 beat making , 3 vocal Processing ke liye.
Helpful / important points 1:55 3:00 3:35
I like it good video
Does this guys work well for a normal user? Just listen to music and watch videos.
It works. But you might have problems based on your preference. If you watch videos on your phone, the cable will be too long, and overall, the sound is much flatter than normal headphones. The bass is very low and so is the treble, but that's what they are designed for. If you want a bassy pair with a shorter cord, go for some gaming headphones, those will be better.
Book Phile is pretty spot on. It's a flat response curve. Imagine a totally flat EQ response and that's what you're getting. Like a camera monitor which might present you with a flat colour curve to let you edit the video, this does the same for audio, it flattens everything so you can edit the sound but may not give you an accurate representation of the finished product with all the bass and treble peaks. Hope that makes sense.
Is this good for Audio Mixing?
For voice - ie what I use it for, absolutely yes. For music I guess it depends entirely on whether a flat tonal curve works for you, if so, then yes :)
Try sonarworks reference 4 with this earphones and you will get natural sound.
Any experienced audiophile here please answer this: Can these serve a decent workability in professionally mixing music?
if u get acquainted with your gear and learn how to mix with them. Then its possible to create good quality mixes.
@@bestofeverything3920 Sensible reply but my question still remains unanswered. Let me put it this way- are the K72s near flat sounding cans?
Good point! Who cares how unboxing of headphones looks like? Sound and comfort do matter.
