Thanks for the awesome video- I’ve never encountered these guys before, so I really appreciate you sharing this lore with us, not to mention showing all the great photos and artwork. These guys are really cool!
Three years later- I’ve changed my name on UA-cam, and have now acquired a pretty decent division of these guys. I use them as from the Forge World Gryphonne IV, and they are a Mechanicum allied force for my 30K Raven Guard Legion. I came across this video and found it cool that just 3 years ago, I hadn’t even heard of these guys- and now I’ve built and painted several. They’re still just as cool looking as I thought they were back then. And keep up the awesome work, GDN!!!
Sorry- I know that this is an old comment, but I was just re-watching this video (I love these guys). The picture you’re referring to IS actually a Knight, and it does share the same endoskeleton as the Questoris Class Imperial Knight. It only differs in some of it’s armour plating design, and it’s head design, as well. The carapace, pauldrons, and greaves are different, it’s head has different models, and it carries different weapons. If I’m not mistaken, the model shown is a Knight Styrix, or a Knight Megaera, both old models that were once common in The Mechanicum around the Horus Heresy Era. You can actually buy the kits from Forge World if you check out their website. (I still have yet to start my 30K Mechanicum Army, and I’m looking forward to buying and painting a ton of Thallaxii and Ursaraxii- not to mention Vorax and Castellax units, as well!). Anyway- I hope that my long ass comment helped clear this up for you- shit, it’s been a year since you wrote that, you probably know everything I said by now! Haha- have a great weekend, my friend-
The Body of the Ursarax(minus the jet pack) and the limbs of the Thallax is what I would prefer, as appose to being placed inside a Dreadnought.
I did not think these guys would get a lore video in years.
They have now.

I was surprised as well to find as many artworks on them as I did.

I never even heard of them.... Wow there way cool. I would only want certain parts augmented like my arms and my legs and torso... LOL.
Great stuff and very terrifying and also amazing support for Astartes advancing
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love these guys. Great units and a blast to build. Can we get more Dark mech lore vids please?
I'll see what I can do. They probably fit in the forces of chaos playlist.
I hope GW brings these into the present lore and tabletop for admech eventually. Maybe an STC rediscovered or Cawl does Cawl stuff to get it back.
becoming one off those would be the worst nightmare ever , i would rather die 10 times over
Probably a sensible choice.
Thought it said Cyberdong dam you TTS! Dam you Remlez!
Cyberdongs wouldn't be very effective troopers.
Is their any stories of Earth based members of the machine cult or just Regular scientist/enginers toiling or Holy Terra
These units kind of remind me of Robocop 2 / Robokane...
Thanks for the vid.
You're welcome.
This make me think of a big daddy from bioshock.
Except more gruesome.
7:22 Hey, it looks like Imperial Knight, right?
They do share a similar shape. Knights are bigger, though.

Reminds me of RoboCop 2/Kane.
The time period kinda corresponds. Wouldn't be surprised if they borrowed some inspiration from there.
Could you include the spec of the thallax and ursarax robots
I probably didn't find any at the time.
Imperial battle suit
Sweet
