The drag on your DC reel didn't stop working. When you're spooled up with braid on Shimano reels sometimes the line will literally all be spinning on the reel. Best way to fix this is to put a small amount of electrical tape around the spool with no line on it. Then put line back on the spool and it won't happen anymore. Had this happen on mine and I thought it was busted untill I did that and it never happened again.

Here is a tip to help you with a Palomar knot go watch Jacob wheelers Palomar knot video it shows you how to keep it from burning flouro and keep you from breaking off as bad as I've seen you breaking off before really helped me and is a really short video gets straight to point
You got ghost drag, with your braid. I used to get it, in order to not get it you need to spool up a little bit of mono or fluoro before you put your braid on.

Nice video but your curado dc is looking pretty rough! They don't sell my favorite lure that I caught my 9 lb PB bass on years back. It was a KVD spinnerbait but it was dual blade with a Trailer hook! I haven't seen them since. Also it was whit green and a touch of Chartreuse head was bass colored.
Loving the old style videos you should do some more budget challenge videos again those are the best videos!
