These are beautiful sarees! Great to see their hard work. One thing I found here is, both in Japan and India there are many such artisans doing traditional art and paintings/crafts and both face same issue younger generation is not interested in doing so or preserving it. Your video is great work some contribution to create awareness for this!

Actually, sari is used in all traditions. Ancient times, sari was derived from Greco Roman Tosa. If you study history, you find sari was firstly used in Gandhara art, Buddhist goddess Hariti, was usually shown with sari.

In fact Buddhism is only about 3500 years old. The Mahabharata war was fought 5,000 years back. Just before the Mahabharat war there was an incident Draupadi Vastra haran and Draupadi was wearing Saree. So Saree is a verily Indian attire. Later other cultures liked it. Let me also say that Shri Buddha never introduced Buddhism, because he himself was a Hindu Kshatriya and all his teachings are based on the Vedas, Upanishads and other Hindu (Vedanta) scriptures.
@@sudhirmudholkar4326 Your knowledge is non sense. Mahabharat is fiction, not history, developed in commen era. Siddhata Gotama was born in 500 BC, yet saree was not introduced. It was slowly developed with arrival of Greeks and Kushans, just look at archeological evidences.
And for your information, Siddhata gotama was not hindu at all, he born in non Vedic shakya clan, of solar dynasty. As the manusmruti considered the shakyans mlecchas, vedic people considered shakyans born out of feets of the Brahma. He was descendant of mahasammat raja, the first elected morachy of human community.
@@sudhirmudholkar4326 How ridiculous!! The Buddhist teachings based on the Vedas. It is more non Vedic tradition dude, your study is not adequate. Buddhism believe in Anatta n dhammakaya wheras Hinduism believe in Atman and brahman. Both are opposites actually.
