Westerners today so keen to learn Indian Dance styles... While Indians themselves are just happy getting an ego boost watching this new trend! Indians should seriously direct their kids to learn Hindustani/Indian classical music and Dance styles so that they just don't be mere audience in future! 🙏🇮🇳
This video tells that temples were not only the places of worship but actually a cultural heritage site withe education, dance, music all being teached and learned 😇
Content ,Graphics and Most important BGM all are awesome just loved it This is not new version of DrishtiIAS this is Pro DrishtiIAS Thanks Team Drishti and Mam🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Odishi is a very ancient dance form, mentioned in the Natya shastra. Most temples are testimony to it , not the Khandagiri & Udaygiri caves only. Several Gurus and noted female dancers presented it to the world. The female dancers, you mention, came much later. You have overlooked the contribution of Guru Debaprasad Das, renowned dancer Sanjukta Panigrahi and many others.
Also it is accompanied by Odissi Classical Music not Hindustani music both are different moreover the percussion instrument used is Odissi Mardala, looks same like pakhawaj but playing technique and sound is completely different, it resembles with Mridangam...
I want to note something, one information is wrong here Odissi dance is accompanied by traditional classical music of Odisha i.e. Odissi music is not with Hindustani classical music
Content is excellent. However there is a suggestion that while using the names of Hindu Gods or Goddesses, rather than bluntly calling them by their name like Shiva and Parvati..It would sound better if you refer them with a prefix - Lord or Goddess. When we can use Mr. / Honourable as prefix for fellow humans, then I believe using such prefixes won't make your content 'non-secular'.
Thanks for your suggestion, Saumy Singh! We will definitely present this to the concerned team, till then It will be great if you stay connected to view our other programs as well!
