One may even argue that once your needs are met, the only way to spend money that will make you feel significantly better and bring you real benefits without expending high effort and thus introducing stress, is through altruism that improves the world around you and, if you're a bit egotistical, earns you praise direct or indirect. I guess that's just my philosophy though.
