The satin desert sand finish with the maple neck and the antiqued hardware really makes it look very very nice. And the alnico 5 soapbars make it a true jazzmaster but with actual output compared to the old alnico 2 magnets
Lovely guitars. Some loctite 242 for the posts and you're good to go. In due course, yep maybe better pots and switch on the lead circuit and if the need takes you then do the staytrem or stick in a set of 65's. But honestly out of the box with just the loctite they are good to go. Will it hold up live? Well, get over and see Chris Buck of Cardinal Black rock his standard 40th Anniversary for your answer. You can get this and mod it or you can pay twice the price for the MiM...and mod it.
loctite on the posts is necessary. mine held for a couple weeks and then started slipping down without it. a dab of loctite keeps everything in place. i also switched strings to 11’s, which stay in place very well and eliminated any of the slight buzzing i was experiencing.

Love mine too
Great review! I've got the surf green one and its become one of my favorites once I had a few QC issues fixed.

A bit of teflon tape for pipe fittings works too and is less permanent
