You can safely dry fire the P07 and P09 IF you replace the firing pin retaining pin. Factory pin is a cheap rolled steel pin. Cajun Gun Works Carrie’s a hardened steel pin for cheap. Easy upgrade, less than 5 minutes to do. I have had my P07 for about 4 years now. Absolutely love it! Good find for a good price!

Those cheap roll pins are designed to fail... fail before damage to the firing pin. CGW’s roll pin is stronger, but that places additional wear on the firing pin.

Just a little FYI It doesn’t convert from SA to DA with the parts it comes with. It converts from a manual safety to a decocker . It will always be SA/DA no matter which part you install. The decocker makes it great for appendix carry. I have three of these and have it has been my EDC for 7 years now. You’ll love the gun for sure :) 1:32

I have had a total of four P-07s in my lifetime, and only have my OD left. Great piece made better with a spring kit from MCARBO and a 25 cent trigger job on the trigger bar and firing pin block. Doesn't get rid of the squish, or fix the long reset, but smooths it out and makes it a little lighter.

P-07 is not a hammer fired DA version of a p10. It’s the polymer version of the cz 75.

I just bought one used $425. I don’t think it was ever more than test fired The demand and pricing on these has increased lately, as of October 2024, for whatever reason. When the shops get any new ones, they are about 570 near me, and they quickly sell out. I was also sold on it by HO. Can’t wait to run it at the range. Not sure I’ll carry it. Currently happy with my G48. I like the leather holster!
Yeah Chris is got me hunting for a p07 too. We just got CCW in nj and I figured having a SA/DA might be a good intermediate step to carrying with one in the pipe right off. I hadn’t considered the OD version, but that one sure looks schweet! Good luck 👍🏼

After being overly nervous about carrying with "one in the pipe" with striker-fired pistols, I bought a P07. I'm far more mentally comfortable with one in the pipe with this than with my P10C, and it uses the same magazines!
I think that's Omega trigger not the standard trigger that comes with the Po1 a curved trigger that takes some getting use to. Omega triggers do have some creep I've been told.
Put yourself a mcarbo spring kit and polish it up. It lightened things up a little but make a big difference.
Not single action only, it's a safety block(THAT WAS IN THE BOX) and you have the decocker switch on it !!!

Both very reliable but p10F prob a little better for duty only bc its got a longer barrel
Have had my P-07 (black) since 12/17. Got it before I learned about Honest Outlaw & Big Johnson Guns & Gear's admiration for this gun. That's a very good price for OD green used P-07 with 3 magazines (1-17 rd., & 2 15-rd.). Mine came with just 2 magazines, which I thought were standard issue. Also, the little package U said came with the pistol to " convert to single action only," All the P-07 (2nd Gen) I've seen com with de-cocker on the pistol and a manual safety to convert to carry in Condition-1. It's all good. Did the owner before U add his own magazine count rounds and a different parts replacement, or is that a " special " package OD green shipment? Either way, U were at the right place and right time. That's a STEAL. Continue to ENJOY

This was so soothing to watch. I don't know why? Maybe it's the ODG CZ, the wooden table or floor...whatever that is, the little lamp... everything about this video felt so homie. I shot my buddy's P07 a while back, and it was a smooth shooter. Very nice review dude. I'm definitely subbing for more.

You will be happy with that. I’ve rarely, if ever, heard anything negative from owners of this pistol. Very hard to find…I had to order one and the manufacturer doesn’t even always have them on hand!

Haha Honest Outlaw sold me on the P10C but all I could find at my local stores were P07 so I went for it. Then when the P10C came it I immediately bought it. Just found out today that they have had P10F's in 45 acp so gonna sell my G21 to buy that asap.

Having been to Georgia, Ft Benning, area with Uncle Sam as my travel agent in the 90s I understand your slide issues better now. I don't think anything gets hotter than Georgia in the summer after the short afternoon rain. My experience is from Missouri. Like I said before though other than that it's a great reliable weapon, and being from the 90s as a late teen and early 20s I prefer DA/SA. It's one of three handguns that are all I feel I'll need, G19 gen 3/P07/Ruger SR22. I've never had an issue, in the 2 years I've had it, with mine and it's lived up to the reputation.
Yes indeed the weather in southern states is pretty harsh. You can walk outside and be sweating within 2 mins so any firearm with small features is going to give you a very hard time.

I own a P07 in black, which is what I prefer. The only real difference between the OD green vs black P07 besides the color, is the OD green has a tritium front night sight. The black version just has light activated glow in the dark 3 dot sights. Awesome gun!!! Congratulations LeverBoy!

@@leverBoyluke mine is OD green too. I love different colors on firearms. It gets boring when they're all black. I have them in fde, grey, white, black, green, silver, then I have a bunch with custom cerakote jobs. CZ is my favorite manufacturer followed closely by HK, Walther, Beretta, IWI, Sig, and Springfield. Gotta love S&W M&P too!!!
Looks good! I have an original 'Pre-B' CZ-75 and am interested in a Jericho, but you have a really attractive pistol.
I like to 'pinch' the slide for manipulation, so the small grip area is not a problem. All pistols feel too small when I try overhand methods, but that's just me. 😎
Thanks friend! I had a Jericho and that gun had the most butter smooth slide Ive ever felt. I also use the pinch method like you and the cz slide is no problem until my hands get sweaty then it becomes rather difficult but thats just me.

Changing the back straps are a nightmare 😂 I also had limited gun smiting tools or a vice would have been nice.
Yeah it was a little bit of trouble changing them out. But good news is I wont ever mess with it again lol Large backstrap fit me perfectly.
Update: From an armorer at Cajun Gunworks it does happen sometimes with their decocker assembly that is a major issue and the bigger issue is not being me it is as he stated Colt bought CZ acquiring both CZ and all its affiliates remember how Colt ran stuff into the ground so be warned their CS is definitely junk

Why do you want more real estate on the slide, because you have a double action trigger
You may always need to grab the slide for some reason and that is why.

The 3rd magazine (extended) holds 17 rounds, not 18. It baffles me when people do reviews of guns and they do not have all the facts about the gun being reviewed.
It baffles me why you would critique such a small mistake. I said 17 or 18.

Dang man that's brand new price of that gun I wouldn't have paid more than 350 for that used gun .brand new they go for 450 .
Hoods idk where you live but if those prices you saying are true then I’d love to move where you are bc I haven’t ever seen a P07 that cheap since pandemic happened.
They've been $400-$450 online everyday all day NIB. Don't matter where you live. It's just the gunshops you are going to are upper the price big time and getting over on you. I picked my up used like new in box from my LGS for $350. The MSRP is $489.00 NIB, so there's no reason to pay $450 for used. The price should be in the mid $300s +/- used. @Charles17508 knows what he is talking about.
@leverBoyluke you paying way to much if you think it's worth more there was a small window that happened with guns being worth so much ive never seen that happen in my life every other year guns are like sports cars they depreciate a lot and it dosnt matter that you won't or would pay that price there are a thousand other who wouldn't and want to sell a gun so they come back to reality up side is youll get more from private buyers and sellers rather than a gun store there a lot like the car market.
As for CZ an Update: I REPEAT SORRY FOR CAPS BUT DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! THEY WONT WARRANTY my P07 and send out a simple serviceable problem with this de-cocker assembly and warranty it out!!! Despite pictures of the broken lug/part off the de-cocker. As stated before, glad I didnt have a live round in the chamber and only a snap cap since the hammer fell on the round or baboom! Thanks CZ you deserve this hate because your CS is garbage like SIG you dont want simple or to make it simple or solve a simple issue? Other people on the CZ forums have had this issue so Ill be hounding them over till I replace it back to Glock or another hammer fired option. Shame I want to like CZ but I now see like SIG and some others they have no love for their customers all they care about is their b.s. policy and profits. Contact the OIG probably as well f..it smh. CZ P07 P09 guys switch to a safety and beware!!! In no way shape form or fashion should I have to send my gun in just for a self serviceable part that is included in the box with the firearm during purchase. IMHO CZ needs to be put on blast! What if once again, I had thought I was safe to de cock and the gun went boom since it slammed down on the firing pin instead of properly going to the half cocked position and been at an IDPA match or something looking like a blithering idiot!!!! SIG CZ fuck em both smh Glock, Smith a Wesson I guess Ill stick with or go to smh
